I would never have thought that a visit to the optician could be so nice. All three ladies were professional, knowledgeable, courteous and really pleasant. It was definitely business first but we had a laugh too. Thank you so much, I look forward to picking up my new glasses. I absolutely recommend Scrivens in Driffield to all who need to see an optician.

Had an eye test today at the Wem branch. I was seen by Liisa who was knowledgeable and thorough . The test was carried out by Abubakr who was very professional and answered all my questions promptly. Sharon and Liisa gave me their opinions on what frame’s suited me the best. Overall I would recommend Wem Scrivens for the fantastic service.

So today my glasses screw decided to come undone , so I popped down to hythe and was greeted with a fantastic friendly manner, Chelsea and Tracy then fixed my glasses but it wasn't easy due to the hinge type but they didn't give up and did it , they also went beyond and checked the fitting on them to make them comfortable again for ,many thanks to both and it was much appreciated and highly recommend

I booked an appointment for today. On arrival I will seen by the receptionist. Who asked if I had any concerns about my eyesight? It was the reason that I had booked the appointment. I had an episode earlier in the week when all I could see in my outer vision was zig zag lines that lasted for about twenty minutes. I also said that I had noticed a change in my vision when reading.
I am 65 years old, receiving benefits. I was asked when I last had a vision test and I said last year. She then informed me that the NHS would not cover the cost and I would have to pay £30 to cover the tests. So it seems that Scrivens are more interested in costs then a persons eyesight I said I couldn't afford to pay for it and cancelled the appointment. I won't be returning and will look into finding a more reputable company

The staff at the Sutton Coldfield Branch are amazing (Obdid, Maxine and Nirmal). They take time with you, don’t rush you and make you feel valued as a customer, and not just a number on the cash till, that’s why always use their services. Thanks for another great experience.

I went to scrivens for the Frist time after being recommended to go there very welcoming and nice not to feel rushed . Everything about my eye examination was explained to me thoroughly.So will definitely go back

I was extremely fortunate that Scrivens was able to get me in for an emergency appointment when I suffered an incident with my eye whilst on holiday. The service and care received was thorough, professional, friendly and extended to a follow-up call after I returned home. Highly recommended.

We have been visiting Scrivens at Rugeley for several years now for both hearing and sight tests. We have always been satisfied with the highly professional staff. They are friendly, extremely knowledgeable and no question is too small in fact they encourage questions. We always leave the premises feeling like we’ve had a really good experience.

Being the first time of doing an eye test, it was carefully and professionally explained to me. The attendant was quite friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed every bits of our conversation and I was extremely satisfied with the procedures.

Whent to scrivens in oldbury town centre after having my eye,s tested wrong in west bromwich.got a eye test within 3 days. Great staff there very attentive and helpfull did my eye test and hearing test had my glasses after 2 days could not fault them at all, would 100% recomend.😀😀

Hi I'm a male 66 year old and
had my 1st hearing aid test on Thursday 25/06/2026 at the Biddulph, Stoke-on-Trent, branch to see if I required hearing aids, which i did, I have to mention just how good the customer service was from the moment I stepped through the door with the receptionist and then with the audiology who after the test fitted me with my new NHS hearing aids there and then, no waiting weeks or months I'm so happy, popped in again today Monday 29th June 2026 just for some advice and again the service by the receptionist help put the Bemore app on my mobile phone to help control my hearing aids, absolutely brilliant service many thanks.

I always go to scrivens, Malton for my eye testing. Everyone is always so friendly and helpful. I wanted to support a local business instead of a big chain and scrivens don’t disappoint. The other day I popped in because some of my old ray bans had gone wonky and they fixed them for me! Nothing is too much trouble. Always feels much more personal being a local business. Easy to book online appointments too! Thanks to the lovely Malton branch!

I was greeted very warmly and professionally which made me feel relaxed and at ease by the reception/shop staff. The optition who carried out my eye test was extremely professional and explained the process clearly at each stage. She summarised the results of my eye test at the end in very clear and understandable way. I also booked an hearing test for the following week which was so convenient. Would highly recommend Scrivens in Rugeley.
