Excellent purchasing and delivery experience

The sofa delivery team contacted us in advance with their time of arrival. They arrived on time and setup the sofa quickly and efficiently. They even had coverings for their boots. Very happy with the sofa and the delivery service. I can highly recommend the purchasing and delivery experience.

1 Star – Shocking customer service and repeated manufacturing errors

I ordered a sofa from Poltrone Sofa in February 2026, with a lead time of around three months. When it was finally delivered in May 2026, it was immediately obvious that it wasn't the colour I had ordered. I had ordered black, but the sofa that arrived was navy blue.

To make sure it wasn't just my perception, I took one of the cushions into the Cannock showroom to compare it against the original fabric swatch. The store manager, James, confirmed straight away that it was the wrong colour and even advised that this particular blue wasn't a colour they could produce or even offer in that fabric range.

I cannot praise the Cannock store enough. James and the team were outstanding throughout. Unfortunately, because my issue was after delivery, their hands were tied and everything had to go through customer services.

After nearly two weeks of endless emails, photographs and back-and-forth conversations between customer services and the manufacturer, they finally admitted the sofa had been made incorrectly and agreed to remake it.

We then waited another two months for the replacement.

Unbelievably, when the second sofa arrived, it was exactly the same incorrect blue colour. Even the delivery drivers compared it with the loan sofa they were collecting and commented that it looked identical. Once again, I had to take time out of my day, contact customer services, return to the Cannock store with another cushion, and have it compared against the original swatch. Once again, it was confirmed that the sofa was blue, not black.

To make matters worse, customer services initially told me there was nothing they could do and that I would have to keep the sofa. It was only after I sent them the evidence and photographs from the Cannock store that the manufacturer admitted, for a second time, that the sofa had been made incorrectly. They have now agreed to remake it again, this time in an entirely different material in the hope that I finally receive a black sofa.

As if the colour issues weren't enough, the quality of the second sofa was also unacceptable. The delivery drivers didn't remove the protective wrapping from the feet, leaving my partner and me to do it ourselves. As we have dogs, we didn't want to leave plastic lying around as a choking hazard.

When we moved the sofa forward to remove the wrapping from the rear feet, we discovered large scratches across our brand-new wooden flooring. My partner lifted the sofa and found that the screws securing the feet hadn't been tightened properly. The protruding screws had gouged chunks out of our newly laid floor. The sofa feet themselves were chipped, and the overall finish was incredibly poor.

Photographs of the incorrect colour, damaged feet, loose screws and scratched flooring have all been sent to customer services. I sincerely hope they provide appropriate compensation for the damage and the countless hours I have spent chasing what should have been a straightforward purchase.

The customer service experience has been nothing short of exhausting. Every update has required me to chase for answers, repeatedly send photographs and spend hours on phone calls and emails. What should have been an exciting purchase has become an eight-month ordeal.

I ordered a sofa in February, and if everything goes to plan, I might finally receive the correct one in October. After two failed attempts, I'm not particularly confident.

The only reason this review isn't even more negative is because of the exceptional service from the Cannock showroom. James and the team have been professional, compassionate and incredibly helpful every time I've visited. They have gone above and beyond to support me, despite having no authority over customer service decisions. They deserve recognition because they have been the only positive part of this entire experience.

Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not recommend Poltrone Sofa. The manufacturing quality, communication and after-sales customer service have been extremely disappointing.

Good but needs better communication as delivery draws near.

A couple of weeks ago

A couple of weeks ago, my partner and I visited the Cannock branch and were greeted by Vicky. She was so friendly, welcoming, and helpful from the moment we arrived. She made choosing a three-seater sofa and chair to suit our living space easy and stress-free, offering helpful advice without any pressure.
We came back the following week to make our purchase, and we're so pleased with the service we received. I would definitely recommend this store, especially if you have the pleasure of being helped by Vicky!

Very satisfied customer

The sofa arrived 3 weeks earlier than expected which was great. I was kept updated with the delivery time and had a map to see where the delivery lorry was before it arrived with me. The 2 men who delivered and installed my sofa were very experienced and just got on with the job. There was no faffing about and they knew exactly what they were doing. I’m so pleased with my sofa. In summary the company seem to be very organised and experienced in their jobs. Very satisfied customer

Let down by delivery.

Staff in Cannock were very helpful and the sofa is lovely. However, delivery was poor. A box clearly marked DO NOT DROP was dropped out of the back of the truck. I had to verify this on CCTV. Disappointing, as the rest of the service has been good.

Caboli 2 seater sofas. …

Only a couple of weeks since getting our new Caboli 2 seater sofas but so far thoroughly impressed. They are so comfortable with the lumbar support and head/ neck tilt. And the colour is beautiful, looks amazing in our lounge.
Staff at Cannock branch are all really helpful, and so too were the delivery guys, keeping us well informed on our delivery.
