I purchased a sofa from Poltronesofà in November 2025, and unfortunately it arrived with significant faults.
After a lengthy wait, the company inspected the sofa and agreed that it was faulty. A repair was arranged, but when the technician finally attended, the replacement part itself was also faulty. I was then told I would have to wait another six weeks before another repair could even be attempted.
Instead, I accepted the alternative offered by Poltronesofà and chose a replacement sofa.
Unfortunately, the problems only continued.
The first replacement delivery failed because Poltronesofà had not arranged for my original faulty sofa to be collected as part of the exchange. The company has since admitted this was their error.
Following this, the store manager agreed that I would receive compensation in recognition of the inconvenience caused and assured me that the amount would be confirmed before the next delivery. On the day of the rearranged delivery, my partner and I visited the store and were again promised a call before 2:00 p.m. with the compensation details. That call never came. The delivery then proceeded without the agreed discussion taking place, leaving me unable to make an informed decision and forcing me to decline the delivery.
After approximately eight months of delays, failed repairs, failed deliveries, broken promises and countless hours spent chasing updates, I completely lost confidence in the company. I asked for a full refund instead.
Although Poltronesofà has acknowledged that errors were made on its side, it has refused to provide a full refund and is instead insisting on retaining 30% of the order value.
The most disappointing part has not just been receiving a faulty sofa, but the way this situation has been handled from beginning to end. What should have been a straightforward resolution has become an eight-month ordeal that has caused unnecessary stress and frustration for both myself and my partner.
I understand that mistakes can happen, but I believe customers should be able to trust a company to resolve those mistakes fairly and efficiently. Sadly, that has not been my experience.
Based on how this matter has been handled, I would not purchase from Poltronesofà again and cannot recommend them.

The delivery was supposed to be august so it has made it difficult as far as having my new carpet fitted but I am happy with it and the delivery men were pleasant,polite and efficient

Upon purchasing my new sofa in store we…
Upon purchasing my new sofa in store we was told by staff that the sofa we chose was re-designed and built to fit through a standard door, which turned out to be very untrue when the delivery guys attempted delivery. Before the delivery guys even attempted to get the sofa through the door one of the guys said "please tell me you have double doors around the back" before stating that there is no way this sofa will fit through my front door. He then proceded to tell me that this has been an ongoing problem for a long time now, (approximately 3 years) and that the delivery company he was working for has contacted Poltronesofa numerous times about this problem, asking them to refrain from telling customers that this style of sofa will fit through a standard door. We was told upon purchase of the sofa that should there be any problem getting the sofa into the property an upholster team is available to dismantle and rebuild once in the property which would cost £200. After the failed attempt of delivery I visited Poltronesofa immediatly to arrange for the upholsterer to solve the issue as I have a newborn baby and could not be without a sofa. I was then told by the same member of staff that originally sold us the sofa that the cost would be £250-£300 for the upholsterer as the upholsterer had changed his prices within the last month, I felt I had no choice but to pay that price as I needed the sofa as soon as possible. I then spoke with the upholsterer while he was at my property to which he then told me that his prices had been the same since the end of the covid-19 pandemic and he was very familiar with the lady that arranged the upholsterer and sold me the sofa, he told me that he has had numerous problems with her before. He also claimed that she is well aware of his prices and has been for quite some time. Seems to me she is just a persistant liar, false advertising prices and services just to make a sale. Overall I'm over the moon with the sofa. The upholsterer team was very professional, polite and extremely skilled. As for the customer service in store, shame I cant say the same for her. Very dissapointing and unprofessional. Maybe some retraining of staff is in order to prevent future customers feeling slightly scammed just like myself.
