Great prices, slow (but as stated) shipping

I recently purchased an alarm panel and all sorts of extra pieces from this company.

They were absolutely the cheapest company I could find.

Their technical support was also very helpful with a number of pre-purchase enquiries.

The order was spot on; everything that I ordered arrived undamaged and has all worked perfectly so far.

The downside is they are a bit slow, though they do state this on their website - dispatch takes up to 5 working days, and my order did take 5 days to be dispatched (placed on a Sunday, dispatched late on Friday, arrived on Monday).

The slowness is rather frustrating in this day and age, but may well be the reason they are able to keep their prices low. They say they have multiple warehouses that stock has to be combined from before the order is sent out - from what I can tell, this actually means they don't hold much stock actually in their own warehouses (their most recent published company accounts put their stock at 77,000 pounds, which is a very low figure give the large range of products they sell). Presumably most items are ordered in on demand and then shipped out, hence explaining why it can take 5 days.

I'll definitely buy from them again.

Good service

Having read the reviews I was a bit wary in placing an order, but my experience has been good. I am assuming that as they don't email you afterwards asking for reviews, the only ones who can be bothered to do it are the ones who have had trouble.
I ordered a Visonic Powermaster 33 kit & some extra detectors. All arrived on the third day after ordering as promised. I had one query on the installation of one of the items and used the ticketing system to ask a question. I received reply within 12 hours giving me the information I needed.
Overall I can't fault the service I received.

Not worth the time

Ordered a wireless panel and associated kit on the 6th September on the basis that all orders are despatched within 5 workings says (website states this as well as most are despatched before this). A week later and still no update to my order online. I call them on the 14th to be told an item is out of stock but is expected that day. I asked for a call if it did not arrive but received no call nor an email to say it was despatched. I did get an email the next day and told it will be delivered the day after.
This happened and the items arrived well packaged BUT..
The panel that arrived was an incorrect kit plus it had been previously opened and sealed again. Not even the same panel albeit a similar code. Their website sells three kits for this panel range, I received the cheapest which comes with a different panel so I was unable to carry out the installation that I'd been waiting to do. I just called them to let them know and ask how this can be resolved and at first was told that the manufacturers have sent the wrong item. I told them that it was a packaged kit with contents labelled on the side, all of which did not correlate to my delivery note. I was then told that it would have to go to another team with no timescales whatsoever! I said this is not a return, the wrong item was despatched! Asked when the correct item would be sent, was told it would have to be processed and swapped again with no timescales. I asked for a call when someone will know what happens next and also told that they don't know when this would be.
This is not customer service of any sort. I will never use these again.

I am sorry you have experienced a less than satisfactory experience on your first order with us.

We do generally get orders out within 5 working days, however there are sometimes measures beyond our control that delay this time frame. When this is the case it is our practice to advise customers of any delay, and I do believe that within the 5 working days you spoke to a member of sales as stated who advised of the delay, which meant your order was delayed by a day.

Having looked into the issue of the incorrect part this was indeed received by ourselves incorrectly, and would appear your particular kit was not scanned during packing for the error to be detected, I can only apologise for this error, and have looked into further training with the member of staff concerned.

As the particular kit is not a stocked item, Sales would not be able to advise when the swap would take place, so I am sorry within your initial call we were not able to advise a time for this. I can confirm since your phone conversation, as advised by sales, Beki has been in touch and confirmed details regarding the kit, when the swap would take place with our Returns team, as Returns are the department that would deal with the collection of the incorrect item for you.

I can also confirm this has all be arranged for tomorrow as discussed.

Avoid

I recently purchased a complete burglar alarm kit from this company.
If you expect any sort of professional service please beware. No confirmation or acknowledgement email was ever send. No delivery updates. No phone for contact.
Sent request for a part exchange and after three emails over the last seven days, not even a reply. Do not be tempted by their pricing.
You will regret it

Great Service

Having read some of the reviews I was a little unsure about Security Warehouse, but as their prices seemed so good, I placed my order. I have to say they offered good communication with what state my order was in, and stuck to their 1-5 day delivery. Their courier gave me a 1 hour timed delivery, which meant I didn't have to stay in all day.

I was quite impressed with them, so thought I should say.

good experience

i place an order on 03dec2014. the support given by ticket system is very awful, with late replies. i spent a lot of time trying to contact the sales service but i get answer after days.
i have paid the whole sum for the order, then, surprisingly, i noticed some products disappeared from the list order, even if i paid the whole amount (included "missing" articles).
i opened tickets but get no satisfactory reply yet, they said me missing articles never been in order, even if i paid for them, and they can't amend the order and i have to put new(??) order..and the sum i paid???
Hope they solve this SOON, and not after days for late reply, because i need goods within a few days.
Since now i do not recommend this site.

finally all fine..i got the items ordered.

Attrocious Service

I have been trying to contact these people for almost a week now about a faulty item. No answer from the telephone which is premium rate.
The ticket system is simply ignored and after 4 days no reply to two requests.
Foolishly I re-orderd the item hoping to sort the warranty issue without pressure of replacement (paying twice of course )because I need urgent action. For three days now my order for an in stock item just sits there listed as Processing. Is this company still trading? -I do not know.
A nightmare of an experience. How on earth can a business be run in this way -Only by isolating themselves from the customer I suppose.

Today I sent my third email requesting support - I have never ever received a support reply from company . As reported earlier have tied telephone the so called ticket system and this email address . I do not ever expect a reply however I will resend email every few days or so and report back here regularly.

I am repeating this ticket as I do not recall receiving a ticket number necessary to check progress of my question.
My question relates to my order number ***** date 07/02/2014.
The Texecom ELITE panel has become faulty. I am using Wintex software to anaylse the system.
The system did function OK for a short time which proves the wiring.
Two keyboards report a system fault and are both frozen in that state no longer responding to key presses. Powering down the system and loading defaults do not change anything - the fault remains.
The system was commissioned a few weeks back. Am I covered by a warranty for this please and what is the procedure for a replacement circuit board.

No reply after wrongfully dispatched goods returned, 3 months on no communication.

My Story

I have ordered a BPT Nova Audio 200 series device on 17th of June. However received a 300 series model, which I returned by following instructions provided as it is not reverse compatible. When I enquired on the situation on the 11th of August I received the following reply:
"15/08/2014 3:33 pm Support Staff
It is still with BPT, they do a rigous test of returned equipment, so this can take some time"

This was the last communication I received despite 3 more attempts of writing through their ticket support system.

In retrospect I would do more research on the company before ordering as I can see that other reviewers face similar issues.

I hope this review will save you time and stress by directing to other suppliers who offer customer service.

Rude, awful service. Avoid at all costs

After receiving a faulty product, I jumped through all the necessary hoops in order to get a returns number. After this, it turns out that I couldn't get the item swapped, as it takes time to have the faulty item tested before a refund can be issued. I decided to buy another one and wait for the refund to be processed. Big mistake. Security Warehouse claimed that we had "broken" the item and refused to refund it. On top of this, they were also extremely rude and unhelpful.

They are not even an authorised reseller for the item in question, so needless to say, I won't be returning to them and the matter will have to go to small claims court for settlement.

I am sorry you feel that we at Security Warehouse have let you down on this particular order. We will endeavour to resolve this matter as quickly as possible.

We received the item yesterday 13/5/2013 with the correct RMA details attached. Our Tech support preliminary tested the unit and found that it was not fully operational. It was then sent to the manufacturers for verification of this fault.

Normally when we have a confirmed faulty part we send a replacement and swap the faulty unit. However I believe your colleague preferred to collect another unit from our trade counter on the same day so you could return the other unit at a later date?

However as we have received this part and deemed the part to be faulty we have processed your refund as of 16:20 today 14/6/13.

Im also very sorry you feel we have been unhelpful and rude to you as this is far from our intention. We always strive for excellent service.

Great service, delivery and technical help

I've used SW twice in the last week, on both occasions the delivery of the products once ordered was excellent - fast despatch, 1 days notice of delivery with the option to change or divert to a neighbour and then on the day a 1 hour delivery slot was advised and on both occasions it was kept to.
I needed some advice about the compatibility of the replacement siren box I was thinking of getting, with my alarm system, SW (Beki) went back to the manufacturer to get the information needed and responded quickly. If only all web based commerce was as good as this!
You are probably thinking I work for SW and the review is not genuine, it is genuine - I'm not easily impressed but SW have done it.

Great Customer Support via their ticket system

I recently purchased a Speech Dialler, which I needed to return to Security Warehouse.
I managed to contact them via their Ticket Support System, which was very quick and easy to use.
My returns queries were answered quickly.
I returned the item and once they had it back my return was refunded.
Very pleased with the service and would definately use them again and recommend them.

Totally awful customer experience

God help you if you ever have to return anything to this Mickey Mouse outfit. No telephone numbers to contact them and they ignore the online ticket system that you are forced to use. Still waiting for a refund from a month and a half ago - AVOID THESE JOKERS!!!!!

good tech support

Contrary to the previous comment i have found the tech support and deleivery of security warehouse to be excellent. It is a little annoying that you cant speak to anyone on the phone but i have found that i can ask them to give me a call via email. Also the cheapest i cant find.

DO NOT RECOMMEND

They will contact you from few email addresses. if you answer to wrong one , after few days they will cancel your order.They departments do not co-operate, they will not forward your instructions to the right one. Customer support does not exist. There is nobody to talk on the telephone even if you request it. They do not care about customer. To get maney back take ages! DO NOT RECOMMEND this company.
