Who we are 

Sedgwick is a firm of loss adjusters and claims handlers who look after claims on behalf of insurers. We work across the UK and have teams of specialists who can work with you to make sure your valid insurance claim is settled.

We look after a range of claims including damage to your home including home emergencies, flooding, storm, subsidence, storm and accidental damage. We will also manage your car insurance claim after you’ve been in a car accident.

What we do 

If you’re unfortunate enough to experience damage to your property or be involved in a car accident your insurer will ask us to look into the claim. We follow the insurer’s guidance and policy wording to establish what’s covered and what’s excluded. If your claim is covered then we work with you to assess the extent of the damage and then put plans in place to ensure the damage to your home or car is repaired.

Should you need them, our expert repair network is on hand to provide a full range of building repair services for both domestic and commercial situations.

My insurance claim .

Nicola was appointed as my designated loss adjuster/ claims handler and I cannot rate her highly enough . With what was sometimes a stressful and difficult time following a flood in my house she acted quickly, professionally and ensured that everything was put in place to allow me to get my house back to it’s former standard .

From what was a very damaging water…

From what was a very damaging water leak and stressful situation Sedgwick were fantastic from start to finish. They fixed the leak in double quick time and walked us professionally through every step of the process afterwards. A huge thank you to the Sedgwick team.

Sedgwick were very helpful during the claims process - they were friendly/professional, kept me well informed and were efficient at arranging contractors for the work that needed to be done. They answered all my questions and showed a willingness to help if I encountered any issues along the way.

We recently have had a loss of water…

We recently have had a loss of water leak at our home which caused a lot of damage downstairs and had to claim off our insurance. We have had our claim managed by Sedgwick UK and have been looked after by Sarah and Corrine who have put us at ease from day one. They have been in constant touch all the while the repair work has been carried out and chased up any outstanding problems.The work is almost complete now and we have been really impressed with the result of what has been done.

Had to use them for emergency call out…

Had to use them for emergency call out, part of my Admiral home insurance.
After some initial teething problems surrounding the invoices I provided and the delay in the payment of my claim, it was all sorted out amicably with the help of William Lane from Admiral. Thank you.

Sedgewick’s amazing Covea horrendous

Amin Rahman has been so professional and helpful he has gone above his role to help me get my insurance claim paid, unfortunately he has battled with Covea insurance who have been the opposite unprofessional, very slow and many items falling through the cracks I would go as far to say appalling behaviour. From start to finish the whole process was easy and efficient. Amy kept me updated throughout and helped with any questions I had. I had reservations about dealing with insurance companies but Sedgwick and Amy have completely changed my opinion. Thanks again for a great service!

Staff continually ignored me

Staff continually ignored me, avoided picking up the phone, said they’d call back and never did, said they’d send documents and had to be continually chased.

I’ll be avoiding any insurer that uses them moving forward.

Large water damage claim handled brilliantly!

We had a large claim due to water damage following a burst pipe and Sedgwick appointed a dedicated small team to manage our claim. From start to finish we were kept fully informed of developments and the options open to us. Extremely helpful - would definitely recommend.

Sedgwick resolves complex claims

Sedgwick became the supplier for Churchill insurance the company with which I held my policy and which had become entangled in in part due to the misrepresentations of an emergency supplier. Its engineer failed to repair or even to stop a Shower leak from a hole in a complex valve. When Sedgwick took over all became smoothly settled even on a further claim from a dishwasher fault.
I have written at length elsewhere in appreciation for
the resolution of my claims. Here I simply want to see with Sedgwick one is in good hands..

Overall good service

The claim took a while as there were a few misunderstandings with subcontractors for asbestos removals and back and delays on loss adjusters needing to come out. However, overall Sedgwicks were good. Things really took off once Christine Brewin took on my case. You could tell she was very busy re her workload but she always took the time to go through things and listened. She worked hard to get my claim finalised as it had already been at least 4 months of flushing my loo with a bucket/ceiling part down when she can took over my case. Her involvement moved things along quicker than before and I was really grateful for her hard work.
