Best coffee in then according to…
Best coffee in town according to everone visiting our facilities! There has beensome issues with the machine. However the service members Freddy was able to make a temporary fix until machine was able to be replaced.
We notice when he is not here as temporary replacement don't tend to be as attentive

over charged and no refund!!!
vending machine charged me for items i hadnt received like 16 x 4 fingered kitkats instead of a can of diet coke and despite emailing the company several times still not had refund, have been on hold now for nearly 20 mins waiting to speak to someone,
so if no response ive been told by catering staff at my hospital that i need to initiate a charge back as they are not coming into the hospital as there is some dispute - doesnt really help me any

Beyond unprofessional
The equipment Selecta supplies is standard and widely used — there is nothing particularly unique about it. Unfortunately, that is where the positives end.
The service is effectively non-existent. There is no visible calibration schedule, no proactive maintenance, and no sense of accountability. Issues are only addressed after repeated chasing, and even then responses are slow or incomplete.
Communication is poor, follow-up is unreliable, and there is a consistent lack of ownership.
The administrative side is equally chaotic. Invoices are inconsistent and difficult to reconcile. Payment records are unclear. Basic account management feels disorganised and unnecessarily complicated.
In short: average equipment paired with utterly substandard service and disordered billing processes.
For a company operating in a commercial environment, this level of unresponsiveness and lack of professionalism is unacceptable.

Machines that take payment even though the items aren't available.
For a company that specalises in digital vending machines it is funny that their new machines, you know, the big ones with the screen that blocks the sight of the products, doesn't accurately know what stock it has. But I suspect that is deliberate.
So you select an out of stock item and are charged... Only then does the machine go "items unavailable". Surprise surprise the money is still taken from your account though. The hidden stock and digital machines that don't know their own stock levels has to be deliberate and bordering on a scam. Given you have to call in to refute a purchase and that call takes forever. Looking at other reviews, they promise refunds that never come.
Lesson learned... If I see the selecta sticker in future, I'm just going to avoid the machine.

Theft through failing to deliver promised refunds.
Unreliable machines, overpriced products, promised refunds that fail to appear in bank accounts. The reviews say it all, yet Selecta refuse to rectify the situation. The NHS and other companies should refuse to allow them to site the machines. Absolute disgraceful company who only survive because of the the small values involved. However, the collective FRAUD must be massive. Loads to email exchanges with customer services and several phone calls but just empty promises to refund. DISGRACEFUL

At the DHL site! I’ve got to say what a big scam and con, AI doors to see what you pick up and you have to deposit 5 pounds minimum. On the menu, you can see it before you buy, and the prices are different as soon as you checkout! 2.40 for a wrap then 3.40, and then also a yogurt said 1.50 was 2.40.
Joke! Wouldn’t recommend at all, scam at its finest.

Disappointing Experience
Disappointing Experience: Overpriced, Poor Selection, and Faulty Vending Machines.
The food is significantly overpriced and the selection is very poor. However, the most urgent issue is the malfunctioning vending machines. They are consistently taking money without dispensing the product, resulting in lost funds and significant frustration. This needs immediate attention.

I’ve been waiting for a refund for 9 months
I’ve been waiting for a refund since the 12th of February! Everytime I ring I get the same bull and nothing happens. They tell me my case has been logged and they can see it and will process my refund. It’s been 9 months and still nothing. Terrible terrible customer service.

Today in Derby, I wanted a hot chocolate but got warm water instead.
When I called the number, they refused to refund my money. So, it turns out I need to know the device ID number. But I live in Sheffield, so I have to go back to Derby to find out the number???

Joke of a company
Machines never work, it stole my money and you can never get the contactless to work. Absolutely a waste of time. They also cannot spell authorising incorrectly.
Terrible company to contact
Terrible company to contact. Machine at Manchester airport is dispensing hot water instead of soup. Trying to contact them for a refund is a nightmare. On the phone they say refund department isn't available and they will call you back and they don't. On line they give a big list of things you have to do to get the refund which again involve calling the company and being passed around. Yes I know it's only £1.50 but the principal is the same and it feels like they are just hoping people give up. Won't ever use one of their machines again.

Absolute crooks !
I got 2 water dispensers from them and in the small print somewhere on the contract they apparently put that I have to have are visits every 6 months to change the water filters. They charged me £1500 per visit !!! For changing filters !!
Then when I got a £4500 bill that I can’t pay they won’t accept £500 per month! They’re saying I have to pay if off in 3 months. Criminal!
Mot once didn’t get a call or email to see the engineers were coming.
Not once did I see the engineers. And here we are with a £4.5k bill that might just been closure of my small independent business.
Avoid selecta at all costs !
Stealing Money from My Account
Have a receipt for £4.59 yet they charged my bank £5.00.
It's not the first time I've had an issue, It charged me for a ghost sandwich the last time I used it.
I emailed a complaint but they just ignored it, I guess they know you're probably not going to bother chasing it up.
Proper sketchy company, won't be using their machines again.

We have a water cooler
We have a water cooler, it takes over 5 working days to get our water delivered.
We have no service plan so when I asked for a service was told that it would cost £700 + VAT Cira for just one service and filter change ( we could buy a brand new machine for less than £200). I asked for an upgrade with service plan and was quoted £34.84 A WEEK!. So we have sent a letter terminating our contract and now I have radio silence. STAY WELL AWAY FROM THIS FIRM.

Still charged me and didn't dispense
I was trying to buy a drink because I was extremely thirsty and it was an unclear experience from the start. I was charged over €3 for a small drink in a French service station that didn't even dispense. I would definitely not recommend these unreliable and expensive vending machines that are difficult to operate and don't deliver the product, and still charge you! Worst vending machine experience possible.
They are having some serious issues…
They are having some serious issues with their machines, there is a high failure rate, often they do not release the product, the coin acceptor does not recognise the coins and does not return them either.
Selecta needs to get them completely re-engineered.

Unfortunately I can't give 0 stars. At Basingstoke station, platform 1 I bought a bottle of drink at £2.80, which is a rip-off for a start. It was very warm so the vending machine was obviously not chilled. Then I bought skittles, was charged twice and the packet remained trapped in the machine. Will definitely not use again! Shocking service!

Buxton Selecta
Buxton Selecta. I went in for a desperately needed tyre and was rightly told. I needed 2. They set to work and then asked me to look at a 3rd wheel - tyre was visibly good but he pointed out the wheel was red hot and the brakes had clamped on solid so by hand the wheel couldn’t be turned. I have a long journey ahead and if I’d have not stopped for the tyre I would have driven a dangerous vehicle not knowing at all until maybe an accident. They kept the car overnight and got me on the road at lunch in time for me to get to work. Brilliant service ,nice friendly folk and without their care and attention I would have. Had major problems. Thanks
