Ollie & Alex completed our residential move today without a single hiccup. Attended promptly and emptied the house with speed, care and professionalism. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they both made sure everything was taken by checking and double-checking with us at both ends. Very polite and helpful, can't thank them both enough. Great job.

Louis, Jake, Alex, Simon and co did a fantastic job for us. They were calm, professional, communicative, polite, flexible and lovely. They took all the stress out of what could have been a very stressful day. They went above and beyond to move our stuff with great care and we were so thankful! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Henry, Calum, Jesse, and Chris are rare gentlemen - very helpful, professional, efficient, pleasant and competitive. They were flexible and extremely careful with our furniture during collection and storage, even extending beyond what we had agreed. The boxes they provided were also a huge help.

When delivering back, they protected our new wooden floors and moved every box and piece in with great care. They clearly take pride in their work, which is refreshing and takes a huge amount of stress out of the pain of moving house. Couldn’t be more grateful - I’d give them 10 stars if I could. Highly recommended without a doubt.

These guys where extremely professional looked after our property and our items kept us us informed on what's going on and to make sure things where put in things in the right place.we where glad we choose these to move us it was stress free.

Lawrence, Jesse & Mitch made our moving day super easy. They arrived bang on time, and were incredibly quick and packing and unpacking, while taking as much care over our belongings as we would. Pre move day the Selected team were great with communication, and we found their quote to be very competitive.

Mitch and the team did a fantastic job and made moving day stress free for us.

We got the full property pack service which I'd highly recommend. The team arrived at 9am the day before with all the supplies, packed all the wardrobes and cupboards into boxes, and started disassembling furniture. We didn't have to do a thing.

On moving day, they had everything loaded by 11am and headed over to the new property. We realised we'd forgotten some outdoor planters, and the team were happy to go back to collect them.

Once we were into the new property, they unloaded everything and reassembled all of the furniture in just over 3 hours. They were even happy to move the furniture around several times when we changed our mind.

There was a minor dent to a coffee table, which Mitch was incredibly apologetic about, and the team even offered to come out to repair for us.

Ours was a local move across Cambridge, and we were on quite a tight schedule. Much to our relief, the move was a great experience, thanks to Henry and the team at Selected Removals. They were really helpful and simply a breeze to deal with. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone. Also found them to be competitively priced.

Communication before the move was excellent, by email, text and in person. Similarly afterwards we have had no issues getting them to pick up boxes.

The day before the move, they packed up our whole house, and the following day the move itself went really smoothly.

All the people doing the job were cheerful, personable and really hard working. We haven’t found any damaged items yet since they wrapped everything thoroughly. They put the bed back together and placed boxes and furniture where we needed it to be without any fuss or issues.

The only slight hitch was with the washing machine. I would suggest getting a plumber for this, to get it disconnected and reconnected, or at least checking for drips/leaks yourself.

We planned a major relocation and move from Cambridgeshire to Staffordshire in May 2025. We are medics and we require a very high quality reliable removals service.

From the moment, I contacted Selected Removals, I encountered nothing but superb professionalism and impeccable job execution. This became clearly visible, at every single step, right from the time of the initial in-person survey, through loading and until the last lorry left after job completion.

Very significantly, their charges are most competitive and very reasonable.

I must especially commend Henry, Oli, Alex, Frank and Mitch, who all demonstrated extraordinary skill and splendid dedication. Henry’s leadership was exemplary to say the least. Summarily, I have nothing but the strongest recommendation for Selected Removals for ANY kind of move, anywhere in the UK.

We had an outstanding experience with Selected Removals & Storage and couldn’t be more impressed! Darren and Chris, the two movers were fantastic. They helped us with our move from Battersea London to Girton Cambridge. They were incredibly professional and friendly throughout the entire process. Super helpful, took great care with our fragile boxes, and made sure to leave no mess behind. We were impressed when they arrived with bed, sofa, and TV covers to ensure everything was fully protected during the move. And, plastic mats for the floors to protect our new carpet.

The entire process was coordinated by Laurynas, who was prompt and efficient in answering any questions we had. He kept us informed every step of the way, which made the whole experience seamless and stress-free.

We honestly couldn’t be happier with the service, and we’ll be recommending them to friends and family. If you’re looking for a reliable and professional moving service, look no further!

Henry and his team are absolutely great. They did an amazing job moving us from the very first phone call to the favor of collecting our moving boxes after we already moved (and paid!).

Everything ran on time, nothing got damaged, the guys who moved us were super friendly and kind and we even managed to have a pretty good day.

This business has great processes: they have multi-use packing supplies, can provide second hand boxes for free, and generally do all they can to be sustainable which really matters.

I have a very specific medical challenge regarding sensitivity to smells (such as cigarette smoke or strong aftershave), and Selected removals was super helpful and respectful about it with great communications. I never want to move the house again, because it IS a nightmare, but if I need to, I would certainly go with Selected again, I have full trust in them.

I have also seen some reviews saying that the price was high... Well, I am not convinced. As we always do, we asked for multiple quotes from different companies, and Selected was actually second lowest. The lowest quote was from a company that in our judgement was likely to cut corners and didn't feel me with confidence regarding my medical needs and needs of our cats. In my opinion, Henry's business provides great value for money (which I could not say about estate agents for example...) and I would confidently recommend them as they honestly deliver more than what you pay for.

I owe this review to the Team so here I go.

At the end of August 2024, I had to move from Cambridge up north and contacted the Team about 6 weeks ahead. I received positive feedback from them (not every other company I contacted reacted the same) and so I kept them in my notes.

At the right time I went back to Selected Removals and Henry gave me a video check-and-quote. Another company also arranged a similar video-quote, never showed up and didn’t even apologize when I emailed them.

I have to say that I do not have much to transport and I do prepare my packings properly. In any case Henry made it easy, gave me a reasonable figure and assured me that everything would be fine. It was I who got nervous and worked up, and contacted Henry a few more times about nitty gritty things. He was all the time very reassuring, never gave me the impression that I was a nuisance, and delivered as promised.

On the day of the delivery, the Team knocked on the door right on time - they must have been standing at the door waiting for the clock to strike - and sure enough Chris, Mitch and Ollie did an excellent job. I also did my part making sure both parties have all the phone numbers and directions in case we lost contact.

The removal from my house took roughly an hour - things were well prepared for both parties - but the unloading took longer, since we moved into an apartment requiring lifts. And the Team never complained. I would add that all the time, Selected Removals were efficient, polite, helpful and reassuring. They also helped throw away some garbage so I was able to leave my departure house in good condition.

Well I guess I should probably stop my praises here but I think the reader gets it.

Would I recommend them? Surely! And if they service where I am, I shall have no hesitation using their service again.

They couldn't have done a better job.
We moved from Cambridge to Birmingham with Selected Removals and the whole team were fantastic. Henry came to the house to do the initial survey to make the quote and was very professional. We needed all our items to be in storage for a few weeks in between moving and that was all done in-house. The packing service was fantastic and they boxed up everything carefully and significantly faster than I could have done. Rebuilding the beds and moving the furniture into the rooms we wanted it in in our new house was super helpful too.
The price was very competitive; I had quotes from 2 other companies that were more expensive.
We will use Selected Removals again for every move we do.

I'm a retired lady, had lived in my old house for 40yrs and didn't have relatives living close enough to help with my house move. Life became even more complicated when, on the brink of exchange, my onward purchase fell through. I opted to complete my house sale anyway, engaging Selected Removals to pack and store my possessions. I 'sofa surfed' with relatives for two months before eventually moving into my new home. Throughout this nightmare Henry and his team were so supportive, professional, flexible and reliable - they couldn't have been more helpful at what was a very stressful time for me.

David,Paul,Chris,Tom and Charlie were the professional team that moved us two weeks ago. They were polite, professional, fun, and took care to make the experience as stress free as possible. They kindly set the rooms up for us and the small details of leaving a room ready for us just to start living in our new home. We would highly recommend this team.

Henry made a good impression from the very beginning, seemed very professional, respected my property, and was very clear in his communication. I had a few hiccups in my moving journey (because of solicitors), but Henry was very accommodating and understanding, and tried to find the best solution for me.
I also received free packing boxes that Henry brought over, which I thought was a nice touch.
On the day of the move, Paul, Don and David were on time, super quick at loading and unloading, very helpful and made me feel relaxed, on an otherwise very stressful day.

Chris, Mitch and Don did a great job of unloading and getting everything rebuilt and set up… so I have been able to unpack really rapidly with minimal lifting and moving of boxes. No mean feat given that all room contents were shuffled to different rooms.
