Select Security took over salesforce

Select Security took over salesforce. There was a minor rate hike, BUT I was given the chance to upgrade to wireless free of charge. We have the nice touchstone screen pad. The ability to set the system or turn it off over our phones and a key fob to also do the same. Well pleased!! Installation was done smoothly and took very little time.

OK--I asked Select Security to please…

OK--I asked Select Security to please send me directions on this upgrade--was formerly with Alarmforce. My request was ignored. They did send me, after further emails, online directions to print out--but I don't print--and the directions didn't explain everything new to me. Seems like they are making a lot of new changes right after taking over Alarmforce. Now I have ordered fobs also, but have no idea when to use them. I was looking for a way to shut off my alarm when in my car and close to home. Those are the reasons for the three stars.

Service person who came to update my…

Service person who came to update my alarm system was very young and didn't seem to know what he should do. He argued with me regarding the motion sensor. I wanted the new one in the same location as the old, but he was changing it without asking me. He put the base station in a different location so it would plug into an outlet rather than being wired into the old location as it should have been. The new door and window sensors were not placed to cover the previous holes. When I called the manager about these items later that night, the manager was quite rude. When I called to cancel the service and have the equipment removed I found I'd have to pay for two additional months after cancellation. I had been OK with their service for four years prior to all this which is why I still gave them three stars.

On 5/7 I called about a problem on my…

On 5/7 I called about a problem on my panel. The lady talked so fast that I couldn't catch her name. Was on hold for 5 mins. while she was checking on something and the phone hung up on her end. I called back sound like the same person, I asked her name and again she talked fast and sounded annoyed. She then put me on hold for 17 mins. and 55 secs. and once again the phone hung up on her end. I called back and got a different lady, I think her name was Julie and she was helpful. Once again I was put on hold for 6 mins. waiting to schedule a tech to come out. I then talked with a lady named Ashley who was very nice and helped me. Customer service was not so good.

One question I have.

I had Alarm Force before they switched to Select Security and so far I had no issues with Select Security.
There is one thing I can’t figure out is when on set my system for motion detectors, it won’t set from the panel I have to use my key fob. It with that but it won’t stay on when I use the panel. The Doors and Windows work from the panel though. When I disarm the system I can use the panel. The key fob works okay. What am I doing wrong ? All I got was a piece of paper with the system. Of course they explained to me how to do everything, but I didn’t understand that one part on how to set the motion detectors on the panel. Isn’t there a manual that explaines more ? That’s why I use my key fob every time I go to bed or leave the House, in case the monitoring wonders why I keep useing the key fob. Other than that I rate you very good.

The service is an upgrade from AlarmForce, but the intercom audible message upon entry and exist is not as loud.

Reasonable pricing easy to use…

Reasonable pricing easy to use equipment No Mess when installed I like the app on my phone I am able to see the front yard I am able to see the backyard you know sometimes when you're not home you just might want to look and see what's going on with these cameras you can do that I really like them I will give them five stars from the cameras to the equipment very reasonably priced I would recommend if you don't have service with select security check into it and become a satisfied customer like me Melissa

Liked the new upgrade…

Liked the upgrade to WIFI using a touchpad. Very easy to use and the customer service reps are friendly and helpful. The technician who upgraded my system was polite and knowledgeable as well.

I gave it a 3 stars because then one…

I gave it a 3 stars because then one thing I don't like about it is that you can't hear it when customers service come on it. You got to be standing right here at the box to hear her talk. I should be able to hear anyone that comes on that box from our bedroom, kitchen, bathroom anywhere in our home and that's not the case period. Fix that issue fast please.
