Great price for 2 new tyres but the balancing done on them was awful. Had the tyres put on Saturday and didn't drive at any speed home so didn't notice any problem until I set of to work on Monday. The car was undriveable at 60/70mph (Great on a 150 mile motorway journey!) and working away all week meant I had to pay another tyre garage £24 to balance them. Was told they had never seen so much weight put on the inside of one of the wheels. Car now drives perfect again.

Setyres.. my type of Company!
In July I had 4 new tyres with free valves brakes and pads fitted at our Lancing’s Brighton Rd branch and experienced significant tyre pressure drop on both nearside tyres after a couple of local drives and a returning Essex drive the following week. Despite returning twice for these tyres and valves to be checked the issue remained and by my third return the branch proposed a new remedy however by then I’d lost trust despite always using Setyres over the last 18 years. I emailed head office to advise my issues.... from that point the Deputy Area Manager immediately contacted me and from then to now I am a very satisfied customer. Sam listened to my concerns and suggested a way forward for me to consider. This included Sam giving me a practical demonstration of his proposals (as I have limited trade experience) at the Lancing Business Park Trading Estate branch at a time which suited me. With my consent, Sam arranged the relevant service and checks with another review a week later, by which time it was clear the nearside tyres/ valves problem was rectified. In addition he followed up with a courtesy call.
I count the measure of a company by how they deal with any customer’s issue which might arise later and how they take timely steps to address the matter to the client’s full satisfaction.
My trust in Setyres has been restored as I was treated respectfully and considerately leaving me feeling a valued and valuable customer.

Havant Setyres Paul was so couldn’t care. I ordered 4 tyres and spent hour researching and was very specific on the tyres I wanted but he had to order them in, during the fitting I noticed they were wrong tyres went to office and was told well that’s all we got so we will send them back if you want, at this point tyres were off wheels the tyres taken off were possibly illegal so I felt I had no choice. Paul really came across “he did not care” he had the sale, I will never set foot in Setyres again. I even sent an email to head office never even got a sorry.

I used the Sevenoaks branch and received amazing service from Gary and his team. I was having ongoing issues with a well known National second hand dealership that I had recently bought a car from and these guys gave me all the advice and evidence I needed to get the problem sorted. Nothing was too much trouble and I would recommend them to everyone.

He took so much time to sit with me and show me the parts of my car and explained how they work etc, which for me was never something any other garage had ever done! SE Tyres in diplocks way polegate or hailsham had a new cataylic converter put on in 2016 yellow light came back on shortly after but I had moved out of the area I changed the cat myself this time and the cat I took off what they put on new had been gutted of the inside.
So they gutted it to sell the precious metals inside and charged me over £300. That is criminal they work on price work its all about the money to them beware dodgy garage do it yourself I did and I know its done properly and the exhaust they put on didn't have proper metal gasket just some sealant and no gasket on the cat as well as no inside to the cat shoddy criminal work do not go there. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Having bought a car privately only to discover it had no front brakes I called Set Tyres in Lancing as I needed to be on the road to attend vital hospital appointments. My fear was that the entire breaking system would have to be replaced which I would not have been able to afford. The Lancing depot manager Tim assured me his staff at the maintenance centre would have a look immediately to assess the remedial work to be done and give me a price before undertaking any repairs. I was pleasantly surprised when Alan, the chief mechanic, called to say the car needed new discs and pads and they would do it for £250 including VAT. Soon afterwards I received another call to say the work had been carried out and I could come and collect the vehicle. I would just like to say how grateful I am for the swift response of the Set Tyres staff to my situation and to let them know their good-humoured casual professionalism was much appreciated. With minimal fuss and strictly no chin-stroking and talk of slave cylinders and rusty fluid pipes the Set Tyres technicians fitted the necessary components and made sure the car was roadworthy. A job well done, however I think above all I would like to pay tribute to the attitude of each of the Set Tyres staff I dealt with. They made the whole process a painless experience and what's more, I think if I had taken it anywhere else the essential repairs would have taken much longer and the bill would have been much more expensive so thank you Set Tyres. You are now my first port of call.

I booked an mot test for Wednesday 13th of May with Setyre Bexhill, when I turned up the guy there said that the mot tester didn’t turn up, rearranged for next day. I called before I turned up on Thursday but still no sign of the mot tester, rescheduled for Friday, again called on Friday the same no mot tester, rescheduled for Monday the 18th , I turned up on Monday and bingo the mot tester there, I left the car with them and disappeared for half an hour, when I got back the car failed on the brake binding to one side, and the advisory said that front brake pads wearing thin, 3 Tyres worn to the legal limit. I explained to him that I didn’t drive the car for over a week that is why the brakes binding and the car already been to mot test the week before and none of the defects they mentioned came up, he replied well already done now. I replaced the brake pads and past the mot. The legal limit for brake pad is 1.5mm my old ones were 5.5mm, the legal limit for Tyres 1.6mm my old Tyres tread varied from 3.5 to 5mm, I have photos to prove my points, It seems to me they apply Tyres and brake pads faults to most mots they carry out so they can do the work themselves and earn more cash. AVOID
I have an Alfa Romeo GT
I have an Alfa Romeo GT, took it to set tyres for a simple air filter change and to get at the air filter you have to jack the car up and get to it from underneath, the man at set didn't want to do that and pushed everything to one side from the top of the engine and ripped the old filter out and forced the new filter in, after he done it I noticed the orange rubber poking out on the new filter where he didn't clip it all in correctly, I told him and he said yes because the clip is broke so now won't fit tightly and that's why I can see the filter, I told him well the old filter fitted tight and the filter box was right and I didn't see any of the filter when I looked myself the clip wasn't broke so why is it broke now? He said it must have been broke before, complete utter nonsense, he broke my filter box because he didn't want to do the job probably and started ripping bit apart to replace the filter, not happy with set tyres, you owe me a new air filter box.
Will never use again!
I booked and paid for 2 new tyres online and went my local (Epsom) branch of Setyres at the appointed time. Right from the outset the manager was rude, lazy and unhelpful, treating my custom like an irritating inconvenience he could do without. I try my very best to get on with everyone I meet but some people simply make that impossible. I really don't know what his problem was, presumably he would just rather have been sitting on his fat ar$e at home watching daytime tv than working, but his attitude was utterly unjustified.
To be fair the guy who actually fitted the tyres was fine and even had the good grace to appear slightly embarrassed at his manager's excessive rudeness. If I hadn't already booked and paid for the tyres online there is no way I would have stayed to put up with it. I only went to Setyres because the place I intended to go to was closed due to Coronavirus. Nothing would ever induce me to return and I just hope this review helps someone else and encourages them to shop elsewhere.

Do not! I repeat do not use this branch at any cost unless you are happy to pay for repairs later. Took my wifes car for three tyres and tracking, before MOT, whilst doing the tracking the moron burnt holes in the cv boots, which caused an MOT fail and a repair bill of £200!! the manager Kieth is just rude .... left me waiting when i took it back and then tried to tell me that the boots were just split due to age but did explain the actual issue, which was the 'burn holes' both sides. whole office stunk of cigarette smoke as Kieth stands just inside the reception smoking and in genral the whole outfit is just amateurish. So if your happy to have to pay for repairs after shoddy work bieng done, if you like rude staff and no customer service then this is the branch for you. Rest assured I will not let them off the hook, Trading Standards next then maybe reporting staff smoking in a public place but im deffinately going to make sure people in Hastings know not to use the services of this company.

Was a lovely friendly garage but this bunch are very rude and aggressive. Terrible don’t give a monkeys manners.
I have 4 vehicles including works van and these will now have to be serviced elsewhere.
I will not give this company my cash and will never return. It’s a shame that we have lost our decent local garage and now have this bunch.

Phoned up for front tyres for my van, agreed price and said bring it in no problem, on arrival a short time after I went in to reception and was very bluntly told that I would have at least an hours wait before they could start. Ok not the impression I was given over the phone but no problem I’ll pop to the plumbers merchants and come back, Oh No said what can only be described as a person with the customer service skills of a deranged chimpanzee! If you go out you go to the back of the que, nobody else will see you this quick!
I’ve used this company since the early ‘red star’ days and always had good service, I wasn’t in a hurry but who wants to be spoken to like that? I’m the customer!
I run my own retail business so I know that however bad your day is you still treat your customers with respect!
