Using a shadow PC is ideal for avoiding the hassle of purchasing a PC.
We have very good power, for an excellent price.
Per year, it costs me less than buying components to continue working/playing.
Thanks Shadow

Awful, they auto renew subscriptions and just keep on lifting money and refuse to return it
On a fast wired internet connection it’s taking more than a second to even register my click on the desktop never mind in game awful service awful suppprt system scammy tactics to take your money

Unmatched offering, truly a glorious product.
I’ve been using Shadow PC for 9 months (Pro advanced, Server location EU, Frankfurt, connecting from Sweden) and rely on it regularly. Issues are extremely rare, and support is excellent. The value you get from Shadow is unmatched anywhere else at this price. Given all that, I’ll happily remain a customer moving forward.

I'm editing this review, as Shadow became absolutely horrible to use in the past couple of days. Just full of latency, had no problem during 2 weeks and all of a sudden nothing works anymore.
Terrible, won't subscribe EVER again.
I was willing to say that Shadow is a perfect service because I had no issue with my cloud computer so far... but it changed, and drastically.
It doesn't mean Shadow is bad, Shadow is actually not bad, but could be way better.
First of all, it's been a few days now I'm experiencing lag spikes during the morning and during the night. In the afternoon I almost have 0 problem expect for one and this one is annoying:
Sometimes, I don't why it happens, but the key I press on my keyboard, if I press one during the issue will simply keep activating by itself until I turn off the keyboard and turn it back on.
That means if I'm playing GTA and driving a car, if I'm using Z or Q or D or whatever to control the car, if the issue happens during that specific time, then the car will just smash into the wall, or keep driving by itself or keep reversing because they key I'm pressing just stay locked as if I was manually pressing it.
Absolutely not funny when you're playing FiveM.
Also the default storage is a huge problem. In 2025 storage doesn't cost that much, and having to start with only 500gb (well less because of Windows installation)is just ridiculous, and the amount of extra money you need to put every month for more storage is as well ridiculous.
Shadow has the ability to be a real competitor on the market, but it seems the company is just killing itself by offering a product that is not that good by default.
It's not bad, but it's not extraordinary.
I would also point the fact that you can't run any VPN on shadow, which is really annoying. I know there's split tunneling but in my case it's not what I need.
Should you buy Shadow ? Well if you're not too demanding then yes, but if you want the maximum and the most powerful experience of having a gaming computer... then no.
Shadow is good If you're just lacking a PC for 6 or 7 months. I wouldn't advise anyone to use any cloud services for years, it's just nonsense.

I subscribed through the UK Shadow website at the advertised price of £32.99.
When I clicked “Order,” I was silently redirected to the US checkout ($37.99) and provisioned on a US datacenter (Washington).
This gives me ~80ms latency, making the service unusable.
Support now claims my account has an “American billing address,” which is incorrect — I live in the UK, entered a UK postcode, and paid from a UK bank account.
They also told me the only way to get a refund is to purchase a second subscription — which under UK consumer law is illegal.
So far I’ve had no resolution, and Shadow have ignored my last escalation. To me, this feels like I’ve been scammed into paying for a service I cannot use.
I’m now preparing to escalate through my bank (TSB), UK Trading Standards, and legal advice. But it’s important that others here are aware this can happen — you may think you’re paying for a UK service and end up locked to a US server instead.
I would prefer Shadow resolve this properly, but right now it feels like a serious breach of trust.
You should change your strategy! I think there are many people like me who just bought a subscription, because they wanted to play only one game they couldn't play somewhere else. If this game is not working and there is no possibility to get the money back, then it feels like a scam! Think about it!

Good service, amazing specs, lets me do absolutely everything I wanted to for a fraction of the price. I'm yours for at least the next few years.

If you don't have €2,600 to spare to buy a gaming PC, then a Shadow Cloud PC with RTX graphics is just the thing for you.

Pretty good service, reliable and always available. Solid performance and nice interface.
I would appreciate the option to NOT kill the virtual machine when left idle, because several times it killed my unsaved progress.

Be careful, terrible experience with them.
I bought their Neo Gaming Plus service, and it didn't work for me, even though I have a great internet connection at home.
I requested a refund, and they told me it's not possible to refund anything. Support keeps repeating that they don't accept returns, even though I told them the service doesn't work.

FALSE: You denied me a refund, so please refund me based on your statement below.

Shadow offers decent performance to play my favorite games on high settings and - if it works - is easy to use.
However, it is kinda slow to start up, and sometimes is plagued by technical issues which require a restart (for example, sometimes no GPU is attached, and without GPU, games won't run). Also, it restarted randomly a few times due to a BSOD / bugcheck error.
I also hope it will get updated to windows 11 + tpm 2.0 soon, because windows 10 is almost end of support and some newer games require tpm 2.0 for online multiplayer.

Everything works really well and is easy to use and to install. Some troubles with the sound sometimes though.

I’ve been using Shadow PC for a while and, honestly, I’m pretty disappointed with the experience. The hardware is quite old, so you sometimes see graphical artifacts, and the virtual machine itself can occasionally freeze — when that happens, it can take up to an hour to reboot. Packet loss is frequent, and ping can randomly spike from 30 to 60 ms, which makes gaming frustrating. The Shadow app is unstable too, often requiring a restart or re-login to fix issues. Support is slow, sometimes taking almost a week to respond.
Another big problem is the queue to access your virtual machine — it can take 20–40 minutes, or even up to 1.5 hours, which often leaves almost no time to actually play.
I recently switched to Boosteroid, and so far it’s been smooth and reliable. No noticeable lag or freezes, and the service is much cheaper at €10/month compared to €50 for Shadow.

Pay the highest tier, only to not be able to use it because servers are always full. They should begin giving refunds for every minute you are "waiting for a spot". Stay away don't buy.

Shadow drive works horribly. Uploading files is a nightmare: it takes for ever and stops randomly. It provides no overview of progress like Google or Microsoft Drive.

No available slot. 30 - 45+ min wait times. I've been a Shadow PC member for years. Over the last year their capacity issues (at least for the Portland servers) have gotten worse and worse. You don't pay for a virtual PC to not have access to it. It's unavailable when you'd expect traffic to be minimal (e.g. 2 PM on a Tuesday, or 2 AM on a Sunday). It's a shame they say they're fixing their capacity issues and nothing changes.

The experience was brilliant.
as promised, low latency performance everything checks out. my main concern is the price to performance.
In my opinion, running games specifically, i found the CPU to be the bottleneck of the system. and only running at 2.8Ghz? I do understand the constraints of running blade infrastructure but the EPYC 7543P is definitely not a game changer in any way, i beleive they hurt themself with the choice of CPU to use in their virtual environments.
I would prefer to see the AM5 socketed EPYC series. ( 4004 EPYC ) not only does the CPU series account for server application and workspace, including but not limited to video editing and 3d rendering on top of any CPU intensive specific workload but it has the clockspeed and with it being an AM5 architecture the TDP is gorgeous giving thermal headroom in the very compact blade config.
Its not bad. In my mind personally, they missed out on something very simple.
