Dishonest buisness

I give 1 star for the customer service. Really depends on your luck. Most of time they won't reply you. I've sent several emails to ask the question. So far, just one reply said they are working on it and problem still not solved.

0 star for being dishonest to steal money from customers. I bought US share (Pfizer). Recently the company spun off another company so all the Pfizer shareholders are entitled for extra shares from spun company - meaning, extra bonus shares. All the shareholders in US have received the shares and sold the extra shares to get money. But so far I haven't got my shares. It has been a week. No email to customers to explain where have those shares gone. I've emailed them several times, all I got just one short email said they are working on it and then they just completely ignored my rest emails. Pretending nothing happened. Now, I haven't got my shares, and this dishonest company obviously doesn't want to deal with it. They just simply took away other people's shares. Bunch of thieves. Watch out this company. Use other platform if you want to protect your OWN money.

Good when it works. Often doesn't work.

I've lost money on Sharesies in many different ways. Sometimes the link between Sharesies and their US partner fails, sometimes it won't even let you in because Sharesies no longer recognises anyones login details, sometimes market orders get stuck in a holding pattern for hours. In each case the issues cause delays in either taking advantage of an opportunity or getting out of a position before it's too late. Don't expect an apology from Sharesies either. If customer service gets back to you it will be hours later, and they will just shrug their shoulders and give you the "we treat every problem very seriously" routine - often with the same cu-and-paste correspondence.

So far my experience has been good

So far my experience has been good. I buy my shares online and transfer the funds online too so I don't have much to say in terms of customer service experience. This is the first site I have ever used with trading and I find it easy to use.

Abysmal customer service

Pretty abysmal customer service - if any. No phone line, just an email, which takes days to respond after multiple requests.

They also have a convenient escape clause "We don’t guarantee that our Service will be 100% secure, uninterrupted, or error-free.” which outright prevents any losses incurred from tech glitches on their side which was my case, resulting in an unclaimable opportunity cost of 16% of total value invested. So if any loss is made on the account of tech problems on their side, here is nothing you can do.

It turns out the transaction costs are cheap for a reason. A more stable, traditional bank trading platform with better customer service seems like a better alternative for people who are serious about investing albeit higher transaction cost.
For US shares I have found they have better service

Slow orders, laggy service, unfair

Slow orders, very unfair. there is also a Que or a line you must wait in to get your shares even when you want to pay more money then opposition,
found myself getting too frustrated.

only good thing was rob and theo customer service, responding to me via email, for them ill give it 2 stars and not 1. not for people who like instant trades like myself. back to stake nz i go, much faster system

Smiles in the front, frowns behind the curtain.

This company looks good from the outside, easy and quick to take your money but impossible to get any assistance once you have deposited. Orders stuck in pending, no responses to emails or messages. There are way better platforms then this, I encourage you to look around.
