closing interview personnel
having completed my DN papers I have had closing interviews with the Sheilds personnel, one said to me 'do you not think you are too old to be doing this course' and the other one told me to 'watch my tone' when I asked him to stop repeating the questions he was putting to me and give me time to answer. I explained he did not require to keep repeating the questions to me and patronising me while doing so and let me answer his questions he was asking , we got there in the end, but the closing personnel really need to understand the time and effort students like I put into such papers and the content within them can be vast, asking students questions on specific items in the scenario does not bear well when the scenario has multiple answers to their 'specific ' questions set by the scenario given, to ask whether someone is ' too old to do a course' and for another to tell them to 'watch their tone' when THEY are not being clear and concise with THEIR questions is very rude to say they least and very unprofessional and also very degrading and patronising to a student who has put in so much effort to try and pass this very difficult paper.

I don't think I would've registered already if it wasn't of an outstanding guidance,professionalism and prompt response from Shaharazad. She made everything look simple and straight forward in a way that I couldn't have imagined since I am one of those people who are "technophobic" . This kind of service has made me become even more optimistic with the Tutor I am yet to work with.Because of this.. No doubt , after completing this courses Ishall come back and study further.

I had one of my NEBOSH diploma units referred. Ahmed Tahir Chohaun was excellent in explaining what I did wrong and how to approach it in the future. He was very helpful throughout. I now feel very confident in taking a resit.

I studied for the NEBOSH General…
I studied for the NEBOSH General certificate and thought that the study was well thought out and covered everything that I needed. I passed my NEBOSH NG1 with a refer on my NG2 however with the feedback I was easily able to resubmit my NG2 to get a pass.
I have just got in touch regarding not receiving my parchment and the help was responsive, clear and very helpful. A1 SHEilds. I would not hesitate to recommend yourselves

You were informed that if you do not have enough hazards you are able to look at the ones within your workplace that are already controlled.

Great experience so far
I’m just getting started with my training through Shields Health & Safety, and I really want to shout out my student advisor, Leah Frayne.
Dealing with the admin and funding when a massive corporation like the University of Edinburgh (UoE) is paying for a course can be (it really is) a massive headache. Leah has been absolutely brilliant through the whole setup. She was incredibly attentive, supportive, and completely understood our specific requests and circumstances without making it feel like a hassle.
Starting a new qualification is always a bit daunting, but Leah definitely made it personal to the point of making me feel like I was talking to a lifelong friend.
If you are doing a course through Shields, you would be in great hands if she is dealing with your case.
I can only hope to get the same level of support while doing the course. I will be able to tell soon enough!!
