I purchased my first used electric car from Sherwoods (Durham). Alex made the whole process from start to finish seemless. Any questions (via email) were answered immediately. My car was delivered by steve who was also fabulous. I didn't get to see the car in person, but when it arrived it was pristine and I love it.
First class customer after care. Highly recommend. Thank you, Alex for being a awesome.

Clutch went on 18 month old Vitara , never had a problem with a clutch on any previous vehicle and only 16000 miles on it.

After sales service and communication was appalling (Andy was decent but typically off ill which affected things) , over priced repair (for me that just have been a warranty issue) but was backed into a corner as needed loan car.

Never notified car was ready until an abrupt/rude phone call asking when i was picking it up. On that call I was told to wait till Andy was back from being absent then when he returned tehy got heavy handed.

After sales director Paul Shield's customer skills appalling , I'd had zero notification when my car was ready then demanded loan car back immediatley, couldn't stress how important they got the loan car back that day or they'd pick up and leave me without mine , even threatened with the police rather than wait an extra couple of days when i could get in without my work being affected (wouldn't have been an issue if i had been informed earlier or not told to wait). He also gave me duff information on payment methods.

They get a 2 based on Michael Bamford in Sales (although he stepped out of the issue despite me asking for a deal on keeping the loan car before the issues) and Andy Robinson in the service centre but certainly the worst company I've dealt with for a vehicle and wouldn't use again as it stands.

Mark was helpful, kept me updated with lots of calls and explained everything to me.

I'd recommend Sherwoods Gateshead Suzuki to anyone because it was a positive experience for me which had evolved when I was slightly involved previously when my son bought a car from them last year through salesman Mark Langley. I therefore decided when I wanted to renew my car I would check them out again, the car that I was interesed in after many hours of research was one showing on their website and I went to view and test drive. It met my requirements and I was given a good trade in price for my old car. I dealt with Mark again and was impressed with his pleasant demeanor, gentle advice and candour, this was of prime importance to me as no one likes a pushy car salesman, . All the paperwork was sorted by Mark from start to finish and as I am known for being picky whenever buying anything of value then Mark was very good humoured with my somewhat irregular requests, it was a pleasure doing business with Mark and Sherwoods Suzuki. I would certainly recommend them to any future car buyers.

Although my English is not good, the salesperson still tried his best to make me understand, so that I can buy online and have it delivered to my doorstep.

The customer service from Alex was exelent he gave us all the information explaining so we understood as we are not good with tequnolagy he printed the information on paper .Alex explained all things on the car that we needed to know
he was very helpfull and pleasant .The car we purchased was exactly what we wanted and are very satisfied with the whole process.

Had van in for a service, after getting vehicle back i found a damaged item in the back. After talking to the dealership it was clear that they wernt interested. Not happy with outcome so have raised complaint through the leasing company

Sherwoods Gateshead sales team have been wonderfully helpful, supportive and dependable, especially Georgia and Martin who took care of everything, even during the most busy times, they had my back! I'm so happy and grateful to have dealt with Sherwoods.

I bought a car after travelling 6hrs in a train, the car seemed to have been very heavily valeted that very morning which should have been a warning sign to me. Unfortunately the pressure of buying the car once I had travelled all that way meant I sadly took the plunge and bought. After the long drive from Gateshead to West Wales I found my clothes and possessions that had been in the car stunk of dirt so much that I had to shower and wash my clothes the minute I got home. That was in May, they refused a return and I decided not to deal with stress of going through ombudsman despite consumer rights agreeing it was not fit for purpose. Sadly, I hate my stinky car which still fills my nostrils with filth 5 months on despite extra valets, keeping windows open as often as I can and using seat covers. The company seems happier to make a profit over customer satisfaction at all costs. I have other grumbles about them but I won’t go on. Basically, just don’t buy a car from them, they are not a trustworthy conscientious business, just fraudulent behaviour masking a car that is not fit for purpose.

Absolutely appalling service from the 'manager' at Sherwoods Durham branch, Lewis. How he got a job in customer service is beyond me! Arguing in a showroom full of staff and customers, then storming off and shouting at me as he walked into his office! I went in with a price for a car I'd been quoted online; with his 'extra' discount was still more than I'd been quoted for the exact same car. Was looking to purchase a car today - however I certainly will not be purchasing a car from Sherwoods Durham whilst Lewis is in charge! I have made a formal complaint to Peugeot about the appalling service I have just received.

Accusing an older long standing Sherwoods customer of damaging a brand new loan car without prior supporting evidence is appalling to say the least but not to listen to them and accuse them on not telling the true and then go on to say “either pay £144 now or you never get another loan car from us” is absolutely disgraceful. Top it off to the point where the customer didn't want to complain because of repercussions is utterly reprehensible. This company should be ashamed of themselves.

I had the opportunity to deal with Sherwood Town Motor, and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. While the company initially presented itself as reliable and transparent, I encountered several instances where the information provided was misleading or incomplete. I was promised the deposit can be on credit cards entirely, however, this was not the case. I was promised the car will be valeted and polished, again that was not the case. They are happy to deal with you initially, but once they have the money in their bank, you are not a priority anymore and it takes days to get back to you instated of hours. My experience with Ryan is not a very good one as he never available to answer my questions or most of the time is busy on “other things”

This lack of honesty affected my ability to ever trust any company that sales cars on line and ultimately led to disappointment. It's essential for companies to be upfront and accurate in their communications, especially when it concerns key details that impact their clients or partners.

I hope Sherwood Town Motor will take this feedback into account and work towards improving their transparency, customer service training and communication moving forward.
