First week of ordering meals from Simmer. Delivery was spot on, although would prefer to order less than 6 x meals each week as you're then limited to eating microwave meals. Don't get me wrong , the... See more

I’ve been using simmer for about 3 weeks now and I am loving it! The meals are super tasty and varied. It takes the thinking out of meal prep, syncs perfectly with mfp and saves SO much time.
Tasty food with great weekly variety
Tasty food with great weekly variety. Takes the time and thought out of your weekly diet and keeps the calories down. Lily from customer service is fantastic at her work.

Amazing service from Lily easy delivery, have loved all the meals so far great variety
The meals are pretty tasty
The meals are pretty tasty, although the standard is probably not quite enough for me. However, the price for the standard is still a little too high for my liking so I don't feel like I can go bigger. Super convenient though.

I would put no stars but that isn’t an option.
I emailed them twice to say I didn’t want anymore meals and yet again they automatically sent me more meals and took the money out of my account.
I’m not 2 weeks out of pocket for meals I didn’t even order!
I followed the link to cancel and they are saying it wasn’t cancelled yet o have proof that I emailed them last week also!…
They are now saying give the meals to your friends and family if you don’t want them!
Yeah because I’m going to spend all that money and just give them away.

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SHOCKING
It’s like they are purposely scamming people out of money by keep sending boxes of meals you didn’t want/need or even order!!!
They are refusing to refund me any money and quite frankly don’t care about this putting me into financial difficulty for the 2nd week running!!
Tik tok convinced me to try, waste of money
The food itself is presented horribly, messy.
I have so far tried the breakfast egg muffins which honestly terrible, tasteless and the turkey was rubbery
I also tried the prawn curry, once again tasteless and just a mess it looks so unappealing
I have the rest of the weeks meals to try and honestly considering throwing them in the bin. Never cancelled a subscription faster.
Absolutely delicious meals
Absolutely delicious meals. Always adding new dishes which taste amazing but equally love their signature dishes too. 10/10!
Disappointing service and confusing pricing
Disappointing, confusing and poor value
Some Simmer meals are genuinely tasty, but after spending over £200 on 39 “meals”, I won’t be ordering again. Around 30% of what I received has ended up being thrown away due to delivery, packaging or freshness issues.
I received three meals expiring within two days, two with the plastic seals already open, and another that smelt so bad when heated that I had to throw it away. This makes me seriously question the week-long freshness they advertise.
Delivery was also frustrating. I received contradictory emails saying my order would arrive on Sunday and then Monday. I followed the Monday information, only to find the meals had actually been delivered on Sunday and left sitting outside for hours. Customer service told me delivery wasn’t to do with them, despite Simmer being responsible for sending the contradictory information.
The subscription process is another major issue. I’m experienced with subscription services, and it feels very obvious that the pricing and cancellation process have been made unnecessarily difficult. There are no clear reminder emails to select your next meals, weekly menus don’t clearly display what you’ll actually be paying, and cancelling is far harder than it needs to be.
Because I wasn’t reminded to choose my meals, Simmer automatically selected them. Four of my five breakfasts were sugary flapjacks, brownies and energy balls at around £7 each, roughly £30 for products similar to things costing a fraction of that in supermarkets. They could also see from my order history that these aren’t the types of breakfasts I normally choose. I was also sent the same main meal twice despite it not appearing twice on my selection.
Simmer says you can’t cancel after Tuesday at 1pm because ingredients have already been “locked in”. Aside from 1pm being an inconvenient deadline for working people, this explanation makes little sense when meals are then substituted and others arrive with only a couple of days before expiry.
Food quality is inconsistent too. Some meals are very good, but many chicken dishes are extremely dry, vegetables are often bland, and I struggle to understand how some meals claiming 40–50g of protein contain what looks like only a few small pieces of chicken. Meals are also packed out with carbs to make them look bigger.
For a service charging around £7.49+ per meal, I expected far better. The lack of reminders, unclear pricing, difficult cancellation process, unwanted automatic selections and questionable freshness make the whole experience feel deliberately confusing rather than customer-friendly. Two stars for the meals that are genuinely tasty and better value, but ultimately I’ll be moving to another meal delivery service.

I love the portion sizes and the flavours. As a vegetarian, I just wish you could add more options rather than having to pick different chickpea curries and tofu every single week.
So convenient
I'm currently working 50+ hour weeks and Simmer is a life saver, saves me SO much time not just cooking, but cleaning. The meals are tastier than anything I make myself, really grateful for finding this!
Thank you Lily for all your help with applying the welcome intro codes.
Great food
Great food, best on the market, highly recommended. Thanks Lily
Excellent service
Excellent service, tasty meals, and simple to use. I would urge Simmer to introduce a five meal option, however. Big thanks to Jaime Leigh for her support.
Great meals
Great meals, great macros and so convenient. You are missing out.
