Excellent evening. Wonderful hosts warm and welcoming. Brilliant company and a fun night had by all. The evening was everything I thought and more. Nice venue too. The overall experience was exciting and fun. Had a wonderful time. Can’t wait to do it all again. Thank you to all the organisers for being so wonderful .

Ive been a number of times, and whether i have found someone who i have gone on furthers dates or not matched at all ive always had an amazing evening meeting new people and much prefer the process to the usual online dating. The staff that i have met being Elisha and Chris have always been incredibly welcoming and helpful and make the process which can be daunting to some especially if they come alone much better

I've been to their events twice. Interesting experience and I know they try to keep the numbers of guys and girls even however that's not been the case when I've been. The seats are relatively close together in Bruxelles in Leicester meaning it can be very loud and difficult to hear conversations. Also, they've had the women seated on both occasions and the men moving seats. It would be nice to change this up so it's the other way around.

I have been to a couple of these evenings at Portsmouth and Southampton. Both are really fun but really enjoyed the Southampton one last night... Met some lovely people and had a enjoyable fun evening. I would recommend to anyone who is serious about finding someone. The worst case scenario would be a few laughs and a great evening. The host Eleisha is really sweet and will make sure the evening runs smooth and comfortable. The seating arrangement and location was fantastic, free parking and a reserved floor for the dating.

I contacted via email about an event and received an attentive response. The waiting list is a very good idea and the customer service was exceptional. I was called and emailed very quickly about the query I had emailed to the team.
On the night the host was so lovely and reassuring and it was a lot of fun.

I had a really great experience for my first time with slow dating. Easy to book, great venue and the organiser was super friendly.

Me and two friends went on the Speed dating event in Bath last night. It was really good fun and a chance to just have a few drinks and get to know a few people. I am terrible in a speed dating situation because I get so nervous but the host Lotty was so lovely and welcoming that I relaxed by the end of it. The people we met were all really different which was great. The bar was beautiful (if a little pricey) and really added to the ambience of the evening. All in all if you go along expecting to have a night where you meet a load of people that you may or may not click with, I think its a really good fun night out. Takes the fear out of the who's single discussion when meeting new people as well. I only really felt a connection with one other person all night but thats really what you are going to find out. My mates (1 guy, 1 girl,) matched with loads and I think all 3 of us are certainly up for doing this again if only for the fun of it. I haven't had all my matches back yet but I know they are planning on a date with 2 of theirs respectively so it does work and it is fun. Give it a go and have fun and an open mind!

Having never done speed dating before I was very nervous. However the host of me at ease and was lovely. It was fun to speak to people knowing they are single and potentially looking for the same as you. I would definitely go again!

Awful T+Cs and dodgy advertising

It's not a "slow date" its a speed date with 4 minutes with each individual.

Watch out for the 21 days cancellation process too! If your paid up and try to cancel within the 21 days your out of luck. Given that most will likely not plan this a month or two in advance its a bit of a cheek.

Emailed event manager and was given another date to attend at least as was outwith the 7 days, if you try to cancel within 7 days then your done.

Would love to see events like this going ahead more often and enjoy the format. However if companies like this keep hosting them then I am not sure how long they will continue to run given the bad service.

Event managers also happy to fire quick email replies when they are looking for info or have something easy to handle. If you have a complaint then it appears to be one for the trash folder.

Tip - if your undecided or thinking about attending despite the review wait until about 5 days before the event and it will become half price. Would need to sign up and register for the site to see this.

Pretty poor experience. Someone had be escorted off site as they were too drunk and spilling drinks everywhere.

I didn't get any matches, but because I ticked some people I don't get another event for free. This is misleading

Absolute scam I matched no one. Was told at the venue that Slow Dating guarenteed a date and yet when asked for a refund or a second event, I was told because I ticked some ladies I was not entitled to this.
Now the venue was very grubby and matted, the floors were stripped of vanish and the bar tenders were under dressed for the event and snatched my money and threw back my change.
I booked another event for next month and wished to cancel and I have been refused this too.
Whats going on Slow? I went to Zero Degress in 2011 and received a much better service and a lovely host. This host at Match Box was a complete numpty saying no rouge men just what the ladies want to get worried.

Very disappointed from the start. The venue seemed very seedy and dungen like and the clientele of men was not much to go by. They all appeared to be a lot older than the latter age of 52. One guy was 55 and the other was 58.
Despite having a lovely host, who appeared to be attentive and apologetic throughout the course of the night and was trying her best, the evening was still a complete let down. 14 women signed up, where as only 11 men did. One chap left before it started followed by 3 more half way through the session.
There were long periods of time waiting around to compensate for the shortage of men. Overall the evening was a complete disaster and to top it off I didn't even receive a follow up email the next day for any potential matches or for me to log my dates down.. Very poor customer service in deed..

Not very impressed really & definately not what I expected. The host was very welcoming & cheerful & the venue was lovely. However, half the men didn't turn up in the end & most of the one's who did were clearly at the higher end of the age range, which was 37-52, so the physical attraction wasn't there for me at all. Infact one of them looked to be nearer 60! The first guy I met accidentally knocked my full drink all over the table at the end of the 4 mins & never even offered to buy me another, he just wiped it up & walked off! My only match turned out to be a complete waste of time as he only wanted a "bit of fun" in the end & wasn't interested in actually having a proper date with me! So I deleted his number 2 days later & never saw him again after the event. I will give it another go at some point as I did have a good laugh with the other girls that attended, but I definately won't be expecting too much from it next time.

Fun evening, great host, pleasant atmosphere.

Not a great venue or host, very very poor quality of participants and only 11 women and 7 men turned up at my event, some of whom left early anyway. A thourgly underwhelming experience that I wouldn't bother with again. Thankfully my complaint led to a refund.

I was booked onto the event without my knowing, having come out of a 5 year relationship and with no interest in meeting anyone (especially chaps between 20-28... I'm not that young!)

Spoke to a guy called Peter, who was zero sympathetic to my cause, and whose only (repeated) suggestion was to find other people to swap our bookings out with. Thanks Peter, for a whole eve of unwanted awkwardness - ruining the experience for myself and the chaps I got to speak to.

So the event was then short 6 guys, and so a handful of women have to sit there awkwardly twiddling their thumbs until the next chap appears. With two of us missing, it would've done the event a favour and offered more of a fair playing ground.

An evening of Slow Dating in Bath was better than I imagined it would be. The venue was excellent (Circo, Bath) and the friendly hosts managed the event professionally and made sure everything ran smoothly. Meeting people face to face for real is the way to go.

Yesterday was my first experience of Slowdating.com, it was a positive experience and it's so much better to see people in person, than online dating....it's defiantly worth going, remember you only need one date from it :)x

Okay so it was my first time going on one of these events and I went on my own after my friend couldn't make it. When I arrived I met the person John who was running the speed dating night, he was very welcoming, helpfuly and makes you feel and ease.

I went around and greeted others who were there too, (these are the people your going to see this evening so is very much worth introducing your self and breaking and awkwardness of standing/ sitting on your own whilst waiting for the event to begin) I found everyone there easy to chat to and a laugh which is great, we are all there after all to meet people.

There is a break half way through he evening for you to get another drink, go to he bathroom ect. Then after the event you can stay at the venue and carry on the talking and getting to know people you've liked more.

For anyone thinking about doing an event you should just book it and meet some lovely people. With online dating becoming bigger every day where is the fun of meeting people out in public where you can get to know someone in person rather than through a phone.
