Trust ford????

I’ve lost more money dealing with this ford store then I ever thought possible.
Had nothing but problems with a factory new ranger. Worse truck I’ve ever had.

Just kept getting passed between staff who knew nothing about the situation or who just didn’t care. I only got information once I complained.

It’s been over 3 months since I started the rejection process. Still waiting. I’ve got several emails where they claimed to of completed steps moving forward. Complete lies!
I’ve been polite all the way through to staff. No one is returning calls or answering emails.
Lack of customer care unbelievable.

So after taking delivery of a new…

So after taking delivery of a new ranger back in September it broke down 3 weeks later.. was recovered to fords Gravesend for repair and after pushing for it was finally put in a replacement ranger.
I’ve owned it 3 weeks and they have now had it two with no solution yet as to what’s wrong.
Continually having to call them as they never call back when they say they do.

Very poor service

After booking my car in for a service 2 weeks in advance and requesting a courtesey car as needed to work and arranged meetings with clients - on the day of the service got a call at 8:30 saying the courtesy car wasn't available as i was already on the way in to the dealer i'd have hoped they could of sorted something out before i got there - arrived and no loan car and was told "we'll we did tell you" yes at 8:30 that morning when i'd already arranged my day!!! Well said the service guy we can rebook you but i'd just travalled 18 miles from Bracknell and no i'm tied up for a few weeks and the car needs to be serviced! Got a lift from the dealer to the local train station and the ford driver stopped outside the station in live traffic and told me to get out, i told him to move up to the drop off location as i wasn't getting out in a dangerous position - picked up the car later that day got a brief apology no discount or componsation - good work ford you've convinced me that ford is not the car i like anymore due to the service and will now sell it to get something else - very poor indeed.

Completely unprofessional!

I had my car turned in for service and MOT, and I was very surprised when they called me with a long list of parts that needed to be replaced to pass the MOT, for a total of nearly £900 (car in very good condition with 20k miles). I asked a couple of times for a breakdown of part costs and they promised send me the breakdown via email. Obviously they did not send me the breakdown and after a couple of hours they called me to say "your car is ready for pick up!". So I asked the cost breakdown again "I'd like to understand what I am paying for" and I was been told that I would have received the breakdown with my receipt after I paid the bill.
After I payed and my car was returned I noticed that many parts have been replaced including screen wipers that I just bought brand new a few months back (and a good brand too). Seriously guys, that's not very professional!

SMC Ford Uxbridge

Service staff made up a big long story about how they couldn’t decipher the fault codes on my Mondeo and how the problem was much more complex than it first seemed. Unfortunately for them the dash cam revealed they hadn’t touched the car since I dropped it off. Be aware of the service staff here, they clearly cannot be trusted.

Awful experience with SMC Slough.

Awful experience with SMC Slough.
Bought a brand new Ford Ranger and had it for two weeks. It's since been in with Ford for over 2 months and no contact!
After repeated calls to SMC Ford we still have not had any update on what is happening or if we're even getting it back.
This is the worst experience we have ever had with any manufacturer. Unless Ford do something to assist and rectify the situation they have permanently lost our custom.

SMC Ford Slough

SMC Ford Slough, totally useless...unfortunately for me purchased a car in March 19 Ford Focus..had issues from the start with problems, main issue being a replacement track rod, replaced this under warranty had the car MOTd a few weeks later, mechanic informed me that I should strongly complain as it wasn’t even tightened and the nut was loose, he said genuinely that if that had come apart it would of happened sooner rather than later it could of caused me to loose control of the vehicle and crash, soon as I said SMC had replaced this they laughed and said that this was not the first time they had heard of shoddy work done by them..my advice stay away as after sales forget it, mongs.

Shoddy service - steer clear

Shoddy service. I haven’t worked out if it was complete incompetence or just dishonesty saying that work needed doing when it didn’t! Then when it was brought to the service staffs attention yet more lies or incompetence. I would steer clear of this company.

Cheats

Saturday 1st Sept Selected Ford Focus from SMC to purchase. Told I had to wait one week for the car to be “made ready”.
Saturday 8th Sept Drove back to SMC to pick up car. Attempts to synchronise phone into audio system failed. Was advised to book car in again to get this fixed later.
On the way home, the car gave warning that the tyre pressure was faulty.
In the week tried to arrange for audio repairs but told would take a month to get an appointment. Eventually got begrudging agreement to bring in the car 10 days later for fix and I also advised them there was something wrong with the tyres.
Wednesday 19th Sept Whilst driving it back for repairs, one mile away from SMC, the car began shuddering and jerking and, being quite frightened, I pulled into a carpark. The car gave a warning that there was major engine failure. I called SMC for help but was told I needed to call out the Ford breakdown services, waiting an hour for a 5- minute drive to SMC. The breakdown services sent only an engineer, not the promised tow truck. As I had taken the key out, the engine failure warning had gone. The engineer drove ahead of me as I followed him back to SMC.
I was in tears by the time I reached the sales room and asked to return the car permanently but was refused this and I was forced to take a courtesy car whilst they took another week out to repair it.
Saturday 29th Sept Returned to SMC for 4th time to pick up car. I asked what the problems were and if they had been resolved but the only answer I got was that the audio switch had now been repaired and my phone was connected. There was no advice on the tyres or engine. I drove home without event.
Saturday 5th Oct First drive since picking the car up the previous week. It was raining and the car steamed up inside. I turned on the de-misters’ front and back, and the heater and blower. The heater and blower did not work. I was on the motorway and could only clear the window on the driver’s side. It was dangerous and yet again, in this car, I was vulnerable.

On getting home I immediately called SMC and said that this time I wanted the car returned and a full refund. I was told only Andy Lee could make that decision and he would call me back on the Sunday or Monday. He didn’t.
Tuesday 9th Oct By late afternoon I had still not heard from Andy Lee so I called SMC and asked to speak to him. I was told he wasn’t there, so I asked the rather rude receptionist for the Head Office number. I called the number and found it wasn’t actually Head Office but the Services Dept. I explained that I wanted to return the car but was told they couldn’t help me, but would fix the problems and provide another courtesy car. I gave up as, clearly, they were not listening to me.

Later that evening I received 2 emails from SMC – the svc manager again asking to fix the car and provide a courtesy car, and from Andy Lee who had tried to call me that evening when I was on the tube without a signal. By this time, I had explained the issues to so many times and the only response I was getting was “we can fix this” and a refusal to refund me on return of the car. I have no trust in the ability of the service department and no confidence that the car is reliable: it’s just one problem after another after only 1 month of ownership.
Thursday 11th Oct Further email from Andy Lee again requesting they have a chance to fix the car, refusing my request for the car to be returned and my payment refunded. Legally I am entitled to return the car for a refund so see you in court bullies.

We purchase vans and dropsied trucks…

We purchase vans and dropsied trucks from SMC Ford Transit Centre in Slough.
One of the trucks after 2000 miles started to show a light saying there was no ad-blue in the tank, despite the truck being full of ad-blue. The truck was in and out of Ford workshop in Croydon and was eventually fixed. We have a monthly preventative maintenance program, so it is impossible for any over our vehicles to be low on fluids.
This same truck was delivering vital parts to one of our jobs in Holland when the driver stopped for fuel the truck would not start showing a fault of no ad-blue. The driver new there was ad-blue as he saw it being topped up when the vehicle checks were done before he set out from London. We got the truck recovered to Ford Garage FGeudens bvba in Belgium at around 9.30PM. The driver phoned Ford Assist which could not assist. Ford Assist advised the driver to wait at the garage until it opened at 8am. When GarageFGeudens opened in the morning they said we cannot even look at your vehicle unit three days’ time. We explained we have a driver and vehicle with urgent parts for a job stranded between countries in a brand-new vehicle with only 7000 miles on the clock. We called again to Ford Driver assist and were told that someone would get back to us. We continued to call Ford assist all day and were repeatedly told we are seeing what Ford can do for you and will get back to you, In desperation I called SMC Ford Transit Centre in Slough were we buy our trucks(I have sent business to Rahil from owners of other companies buying trucks), I spoke to Rahil the sales guy who sells us our commercial vehicles, I asked Rahil “please call the Garage FGeudens in Belgium please ask them if they can get someone to look at our truck) Rahil assured me he would get this sorted.
Rahil did nothing for us, I called him days later and asked him why he would not help. Rahil replied I called Ford assist for you”. Rahil did not listen or care about our problems. As for Ford assist do not waste your time calling them, they never did call us back despite promising on every call we made to them to help us.
We had to get ourselves out of trouble, George the driver of the truck got a Taxi to a local hire firm, hired a truck and removed a full tuck load of material on his own onto the hire vehicle then drove to the job in Holland without any sleep.
I called Ford Garage FGeudens bvba in Belgium and was informed days later that they had fixed the truck. Paul from Garage FGeudens informed me there was no ad-blue in the truck. I explained the whole story to him, he said he did not believe me and that there was no ad-blue in the truck and we cannot have the truck back until we pay his invoice.
I will pay Pauls invoice, I am not complaining about money. No one at Ford cares, at Ford they wouldn’t even call you a taxi. It would not be so bad if from the start Ford made it clear. Ford should let its customers know that they will NOT help that would enable business people to go straight to plan B which obviously has nothing to do with Ford. We waisted valuable time because Ford assist said it would help. We will not bother calling Ford assist or anyone in Ford when we need help no point it just makes it worse.
