Ads are contagious here, there's way too many intrusive ads, and you also put Adobe Flash Player still up for download on your site! Flash contains a lot of security exploits and very dangerous to use, and the software was discontinued in 2020, Adobe Shockwave Player is also still on there and available for download, it has security exploits and was discontinued in 2017...these ads are everywhere and full of PUPs, sometimes, PUPs are downloadable on the website itself, really?!?!?!

Tries to trick you in downloading some crap you don't want
Like many other download sites, Softonic uses the scummy practice to give you a big fat download button that actually lets you download something completely different that you don't want and underneath in a thin, barely noticeable font there is an option to download the program you actually want.

False Advertising and other things
The date of experience is incorrect because I cannot count the amount of times I came across this website, trying to look for a download of a program I cannot afford because everything requires a subscription to the point it'll drive you mad or just cannot find anywhere else on the internet, and then when I try to download from here, it's always not what I wanted. Sometimes it gives me a broken APK. Sometimes it leads me to the original website of the program that I am again, unable to purchase. Sometimes it's not even what I actually looked for. Sometimes it looks way too suspicious to even download. And most of the time it doesn't even download, and then gives me some unrelated suggestions that the download of work just as horrible. If there was a site I wish I could get off my Google search results, Softonic would be one of them.
