3rd Feb 2026, 2 men arrived from Softview bright and early. It became clear they took care in there work, even with the removal of the old inner front door, no broken glass. Then they started fitting... See more

Very happy with the professional way this company organised fitting new doors to my conservatory. It ran like relaxed, unrushed clockwork.
We've just had our conservatory windows, doors and roof replaced by Softview, and are delighted. They gave a fair price, carried out the work efficiently and well, and were a pleasure to deal with. As... See more

Review of My New Conservatory and Windows
I recently had the pleasure of working with Softview, and I am absolutely thrilled with the results! From start to finish, their customer service was exceptional. The team was incredibly professional and attentive, addressing any concerns I had along the way and putting my mind at ease. They truly listened to my needs, ensuring everything was perfect.
The installation process was smooth, and the end result is beyond my expectations. My new orangery looks absolutely stunning—it's the perfect addition to my home. I couldn’t have asked for a better service and would highly recommend Softview to anyone considering a conservatory or new windows.
Thank you, Softview, for your outstanding service and craftsmanship!

I recently had all my windows and doors replaced by Softview. From my first enquiry in the showroom to my windows and doors being installed, it was a fantastic service. All members of staff and trades were knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I love my new windows and doors which have transformed my home. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family!
We were VERY patient!
We went back to softview because they did a good job putting up our conservatory. 10 years ago but they have gone right down the pan.
August 2024 work was due to start on a solid roof on the conservatory with an expected 2 weeks of work. (We allowed 5 when booking our holiday in September) It started 3 weeks late and thinking about it the problems started with the surveyor. He did not take into account the width of the building they decided the brick front pillars had to be widened and we needed different brackets. We were 2 weeks without a roof and the flooring got ruined. Dispite asking for a plan of the building on numerous occasions we never saw one. They gave us 5 windows in the roof when we explicitly asked for 3 max 4 (they changed them) the finish on the fascias and guttering had to be re done. The roof ridge was redone 3 times. I looked on the Internet how the roof trim should be fitted and showed the fitter how to do it. The new windows they put in the front are very poor quality. Scratched inside and out and in the sealed section.
They paid for the floor covering to be replaced and is was finally completed at the end Jan.
The reason they have 2 stars and not one is because they did hire a project manager who was excellent. He did put right anything I asked him to no quibble. He lasted 5 months because he couldn't stand the lack of planning.
The plasterers were excellent,
In a nutshell.
1. Their fitter was not trained to install solid roofs adequately even though I asked the question before committing to the work.
2. They need to get a surveyor familiar with the HUP system to do the site survey with a project manager.
3. They need to have plans signed off by the customer.
4. They need to work to realistic time frames.
5. They did put right as I asked them to.
6. One fitter who came to make good was excellent and even said to us on one occasion I can't do the job today because I couldn't do it properly.
7. They gave us a token compensation when we asked for it.
Very pleased with my new window
I contacted a number of local companies, but Softview were by far and away the most interactive. They sent round a lovely man, no hard sell, who advised me on the options for the replacement window which I needed. The window was fitted yesterday by another couple of friendly, tidy fitters and I am very pleased with the result. The window is a vast improvement on my old one, and I’m very happy. I was phoned this morning to check I was happy with everything. I’m a very happy customer.
DO NOT USE
DO NOT USE. Windows never fitted properly in the first place and needed 6 call backs to get close to ok. From fitting in Feb 2019 until July 2020. In the end had to accept. Now one of the windows is full of condensation and we reported 1 month after the guarantee had ended from date of fitting. Softview seem to think that 6 call backs to get windows windows fitted correct is acceptable. They also like to say they have 1000's of customers and they are ok, but before you order remember it could go wrong for you and Softview will not support you.
Interestingly the team on the phone said our experience was poor and they would not find it acceptable. However the owner doesn't care, because we are just one of 1000's of customers. Remember that could be you if you use them!
Following the reply from Softview, I fail to see how not looking after one customer is unfair to others. This confirms their many others customers who have complained just after the guarantee has ended, and you have chosen not to support them.
In summery Softview feel badly fitted windows which only last 5 years is acceptable.
Totally outstanding from start to…

Tradesmen need to be treated like you would like to be treated yourself. Plenty of cups of tea goes a long way.

Beware rude lying staff
We was given a quote by Matt and it was agreed, by the Surveyor, a few days later and so we paid the
£ 1,000 deposit.
When it came to doing the job they said it was nearly double the price and that it couldn't be done for the price originally quoted.
Had so many problems trying to get the deposit back, unanswered phone calls, phone calls not returned, rude staff that lied to cover each other.
Do not go near this company

Disappointing
Twenty years ago, this company provided all of my doors and windows. There were lots of niggles and problems which were only partially resolved - but I chalked it up to experience.
Fast forward to now - the letterbox on my front door was broken by a parcel being forced into it.
I rang the company and was told that 'aftercare' would be in touch. A few days' later I was contacted and told that it would cost £75 just for someone to come and look at my letterbox. I had to politely decline the offer.
Make no mistake, the two gentlemen I spoke to (the first on the 17th and the second on the 20th of March) were perfectly polite, pleasant and friendly.
No doubt there is pressure from on high to extract maximum profit from clients, but I have spent thousands with Softview and feel that a courtesy visit and a little guidance would have been a nice gesture.
I am well aware that a decent letterbox can be bought for £15 or less, but as a newly-minted widow with limited DIY skills, I simply needed advice as to which one would be correct for my door.
Fortunately for me, I have now received that kind assistance elsewhere.
Avoid at all costs
We used Softview for our windows and doors because we had a good experience with a set of patio doors previously. What a mistake to make! They turned up to fit windows and doors when they said they would. Fitters were great. Then the problems began. Our upvc back door is warped. The wind whistles through. The drip bar is too short. Door leaks. 2 years later, they are still sending people to try and fix it. Even I can see what is wrong, but they keep telling me it is something else.
The windows don't shut properly. The handles get stuck. Then there is no sealant around the windows. Finally, you try to call customer services, which is a waste of time. They either don't answer or say they will call back. Never do though. Then, if you finally do get an appointment, they cancel either the night before or on the morning of the visit. It is 2 years since the work was done, and still they have not fixed it. Please, please, PLEASE avoid tgis company at all costs.
Rude cowboys
Terrible service and extremely rude management - a simple sorry was all that was needed! - I wanted 4 replacement windows in a conservatory which they had built previously. Measured twice in first week and told about 10 day turnaround - 4 months later they turn up after no contact and impossible to get hold of- all windows were wrong size! Measure again - 5 weeks later still nothing - I contact manager ( rude Billy) and he suggested they come around and guess what- measure up! 5 months to measure 4 windows and then he put the phone down on me as I said I’d sooner they didn’t complete the contract. Please save your sanity and go with a different company because if they are incapable of measuring you’ll be having a world of problems. Cowboys

If you value your money & sanity please avoid these cowboys
Conservatory ordered in August 2021. Old one dismantled and left for 3 wks with air con unit exposed. The base was measured wrong and new footings and brick work put onto out of line base and now the whole conservatory is slightly wonky. Doors don't open or shut properly and windows out of alignment. Workers been back many times to adjust to no avail.
Plastering inside had to be redone due to being thrown on in a terrible state. 5 new layers later it looks reasonable. However this is all 1 year 2 months later and its still not finished! Outside works not complete and building inspector won't sign off due to covered up air bricks and gutters with roofing felt never trimmed and blocking gutters.
If you value your sanity and money please avoid these cowboys. Like all the other reviews you find on google/trustpilot etc - PLEASE READ before bothering with this company as you will only be disappointed...
To date they are now offering to sue, so we are taking legal action.
I won't use again
On the whole Softview have been pretty useless. They promised me options that weren’t available and subsequently have failed to put right faults with the glazing and their installation. Very poor service from the office. On site the installers have been good and have made a decent job of almost all the installation. Softview have also failed to send me a guarantee.
