Great company values and professionalism
We were honestly in a bit of a rush to purchase solar panels, having heard about the VAT increase, so we didn't have time to compare prices and companies. We went with Solar Plants Ltd because of their excellent reviews and because they are the leading installer. They have been nothing but helpful and reassuring. We had solar panels installed in our previous property and experienced a few issues with the company we used. This has been a much smoother operation. We were also pleased with the range of options we were given and the common sense advice. The telephone operatives are especially professional and everyone we have met who works for Solar Plants has been a great advert for the company values.

I have always had excellent service from Solar Plants. Their installation was efficient and the system works well. Also the on-line monitoring system is brilliant enabling the user to ensure that each solar panel is working effectively. My system is fitted with a storage battery which I would thoroughly recommend

My last comment was about a long time…
My last comment was about a long time to repair my system. I can now report that it was fixed last month and that Solar plants have made a good will gesture to compensate me for the delay and loss of earnings.
I think this shows that Solar Plants cares about its customers

Having had solar panels fitted some time ago and worked well for the first few years. I have now been waiting 5 weeks for an appointment for an engineer to call to repair a fault.
I was told on 29th July by email....
Thank you for your patience while we have been investigating the issue with your system.
We have had a reply from Solaredge, they have advised us to send an engineer to site to carry out a remedial visit.
I have passed your details to the scheduling team to arrange a visit, you will receive a call from them once an appointment becomes available.
The scheduling team are currently booking 3-4 weeks in advance.
Now 5 weeks later, still no booked call to make the repair. Very disappointing service.

Shiny front end, rusty and dilapidated workings!
Solar Plants started well and fitted the solar system quickly with a well organised team at the end of March 2019. If the system had worked properly from the start this review would be 5 star.
Unfortunately the reality is that non of our invertors or the Solar Edge, used to monitor the system, have worked properly since “completion”. I have rung persistently to very friendly receptionists who are then not backed up with action from relevant staff. Numerous engineers often with the wrong information and parts turn up and are unable to make the system work properly, someone will always be in touch and then no one ever is until I chase.
Last phone call to “chase” , mid August, I was told to e-mail my concerns....no reply again, now the end of August. Today I find one of the invertors is not working at all, Solar Plants are supposed to be able to monitor my system remotely and send an engineer to correct any fault, but again I will have to try and contact them and elicit a response.
As a business we have invested over £50,000.00 on this system and after 5 months I am still not able to have any confidence that the system will work and that the invertors and Solar Edge are fit for purpose.
If things change I will let you know but on their current form be very careful dealing with them.

We are deeply saddened to read that you have not had the 5-star service that we strive to provide to all of our customers. Please see the below response to your review. We have also emailed you and will be in contact further to resolve this as a matter of priority.
On our last visit dated 14th August, our engineer tested all three inverters and found a settings issue with one inverter and corrected this from the site. The other two were working correctly.
You have a large system fitted, with three inverters that are all working and producing solar generation. The issues we are facing stem from the communication on one inverter, the internet signal is poor thus the inverter requires a GSM modem with a sim that is fitted inside the inverter. This was swapped out again and was working fine before the engineer left. Communications have since dropped again.
Our technical team opened a case with SolarEdge on the 22nd August and are still in discussions to decide upon the best action possible to establish communications.
The team are taking all necessary action to correct the issues and we apologise if you feel that you are not receiving the service that you need and want. We will work with you to keep you updated and notified of the situation so that we can restore your confidence in the product and our services.

A 100% excellent experience
After a chance discussion with a representative from Solar Plants at the Fully Charged Show in June 2019 he was positive that they could help with solar and battery storage. All other companies we spoke to had looked at our house and dismissed it as not possible but not Solar Plants. The salesman discussed 3 options with us and explained everything in just the right amount of detail that we felt happy to take things further. A survey was completed and everything was OK. The install team arrived and despite thunderstorms on day 1 they were able to finish the install of the panels and all the cabling in 2 days with the battery installed on day 3. Since the system has gone live we have started to see a significant drop in the electricity used from the grid and are looking forward to the longer term results. All the staff at Solar Plants have been very helpful and happy to go through any questions and the install team explained everything they were doing.
We will happily recommend Solar Plants to anyone wanting solar panels and battery storage.

Excellent customer service
When I moved in to my current property, I had no clue how to extend my WiFi signal over to the garage where the solar panels are fitted, but luckily for me, the Technical Support team were fantastic. Team member “Morgan” showed the patience of a saint as he sent me details for a TP-Link and then assisted me with further calls trying to set the thing up!!
Yesterday I phoned to ask for advice about setting up cctv in the garage .... something completely unrelated to the solar panels .... (so a little cheeky for me to even ask them) .... and they were great. “Gemma” who answered the phone was sympathetic to the reason and so helpful and “Morgan” once again, was very helpful and gave me the necessary advice.
These staff members are great representatives of the company. Brilliant customer service. Thank you for being kind and very helpful.
