SOULSTRUTTERS - DO NOT BOOK THIS BAND
I booked SoulStrutters, a supposed soul/funk wedding band for my wedding in June 2021. Unfortunately due to the ongoing pandemic we decided to postpone to 2022. I had a contract with the band that clearly stated we could move our deposit to a future date should we need to reschedule but the band leader Jack Baldus refused, he refused to discuss and complained he was busy when I raised the issue with him. I suggested we deal with within 48 hours, this request was refused and he threatened to block me on WhatsApp. I tried to make alternate contact with other band members but the other phone numbers listed on the website are non existent.
Jack promised he would respond and help us manage ‘within 5 days’ over a week has passed and after prompting for a response again, he still refused to deal with. I made it clear I was left with no choice but to escalate and warn others with a factual review.
Our request for a refund has been denied even though it was suggested the band would cease to exist and SoulStrutters have failed to adhere to their own contract even though we followed their exact requirements.
We have reported to Action Fraud and to our bank to try and reclaim our deposit.
Do not book this band, shocking behaviour from the band leader and you will be let down and disappointed.
