5 day wait for a ten minute appointment, £75 charge after not being able to fix on the day of call out.

Called Friday for an emergency fix, led me on till Sunday, i made it clear i just needed it working, when they finally arrived they removed one single part, the part they had wasn’t compatible and they were not able to repair it or replace it there and then, asked me to wait 3 extra days, I explained my urgency, so denied, they then asked for £75 for a call out? I paid just so they would leave and I could get someone competent in. Very poor service which has unfair business practices. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

How not to run a company…

Sent my initial enquiry as an email, no response. Phoned to be told that their inbox was probably full! Please send WhatsApp message, which I did. Had a call back 4 days later and asked to phone to book an appointment. Phoned to book the appointment, which was set for the following day.
Waited in all day, nobody showed up…that was 4 weeks ago and I have had no follow up, no apology, nothing.
What a waste of time

I was broken down in a car park last…

I was broken down in a car park last week. The RAC man told me the problem was an electrical fault and recommended Southern Auto Locks. They charged me exactly £300 to fix the problem; it did not need any parts, and it took him 30 minutes. To be fair, he did tell me the price beforehand, and I agreed, so I'm also to blame for accepting the estimate, but I feel angry that they have charged me so much money, and I feel utterly ripped off.

Outstanding service

Had a massive issue with a broken ignition barrel.Called the mobile number at 8.15am Monday morning,although busy for the day Darren promptly fitted me in.My car was back on the road by 1.15pm.The 2 fitters were extremely professional,very polite.The experience from start to finish was outstanding.Amazing customer service,made my extremely stressful day much happier.Would definitely recommend Darren and his team.Thank you for saving my day.Elaine.

Never turned up when Darren was…

Never turned up when Darren was supposed to. I then had to phone and was told he had forgotten. Had to call twice to find out if they’ve ordered the part for my car lock and still haven’t heard anything back after over a week. Customer service rating 0. Phoned another company who was professional and prompt. What made me laugh was I had a text asking me to review the service, so here you go here’s your review.

Unprofessional

Asked to come out and repair locks as necessary due to key fob not opening the car, note, key barrel had been damaged due to an attempted break in a few weeks before.
They drilled the lock out to open the car but damaged the paintwork around the lock, which i can accept to some extent, and i was to await pricing up of a lock/coding the next day.
This price never arrived. Attempts to contact them was met with stories of part already ordered bla bla bla...never heard from them again and got fed up trying to get an honest answer out of them.

Fabulous service

Fabulous service. I threw my car key in our big community bin. Grandson did climb in complete with grabber and rubber gloves but no luck. Quoted £300.00 by dealership plus log book, car code (?), proof of who I am and more but southernautolock were brill. Helpful, full upfront quote and could have been out straightaway. I chose next day. Job complete within 45 minutes and I had a full working remote again. Highly recommend 5 stars all round. 😊😊😊😊😊

We're great when they came out and…

We're great when they came out and claimed to fix the issue. When it returned with the same problem said they'd come out to take a look and would be out next day then ghosted me and haven't answered since. I have had to pay again at a proper garage - use with caution

I needed a new key cut for my MINI…

I needed a new key cut for my MINI Cooper R50 2006, Steve came straight out cut the key for me so I could start the vehicle, then Darren came back to re-programme the key for the central locking system to work, all works now and I have a new key, well impressed with this service highly professional skilled locksmiths, I would recommend to anyone who requires, will be using them again for my other cars 101%, fair pricing, friendly, quick to react to work, local company, 11/10 service.
