I originally gave a poor review for this company, having travelled to London on a Sunday and being unable to get anyone to help our daughter to be able to access her accommodation. I did this in the hope that Spaces Urban Living would respond. They certainly did, and were exceedingly helpful and apologetic the very next day. She is very happy with the accommodation. Thank you to Spaces Urban Living.

Worse customer service I've ever experienced. The room is spacious, great location and they just need to maintain the property instead of using DIY engineers to fix things. Two weeks in, the fridge was broken and it took them a month to fix it after throwing blames, then the washing machine broke with some plumbing issues, they not only blame the tenants for breaking a new washing machine but didn't fix it 3 weeks later. The old washing machine vibrated too much and they replaced it with the same model causing the same issue and a lot of argument with the neighbours below. Their emergency line is also useless as no one ever calls back and they gave a number for an engineer that doesn't work. Simple shambles while they charge a ton of money. Stay away from them. I'll also be reporting them to the property ombudsman as the property is unsuitable for purpose.

Have rung the 'helpline'???!! several times today to get the key details for my daughter's room which has been paid for, we are now sat in London having to look for somewhere for her to stay tonight Sun 24th September. with all of her belongings. Several of the staff were totally disinterested - some pretended to be concerned but not one has rung back. Please can someone sort this out!

The estate agents were kind and appeared honest. I was put under no pressure to make a decision. Although in my instance the tenancy did not start for 6 weeks. It might of been different if the tenancy was more urgent.
I had a few quires that were answered by email, typically within 1 working day, and they were were answered without issue.

I am really happy with Spaces Urban Living so far. There service is amazing: everyone is super helpful, friendly and extremely quick to reply any messages or questions. The renting process worked out really easily! I couldn't make it to London, so my agent would skype me and explain all the details! I can recommend the company! (:

Spaces provided good quality accommodation and customer service, but was not a very good company to deal with.
After a few months of living in the flat, they raised the rent when I had to renew my contract out of the blue. I'd also clarified initially with an agent that I could renew by any number of months, but was then told I had to renew by six months even though I only needed 3. Along with this, I had to find my own replacement tenant when I had to leave and pay £350 (though this was in the contract) but they were not helpful in this matter in the slightest.
Despite these things, the accommodation was good and the staff were polite and helpful in as much as they could do. The only reason this is not lower is that in the end, one of the employees was very helpful in organising a way to clean and clear my flat and handover remotely.
Spaces is a company that is okay to deal with as long as you stick exactly to your contract and don't do anything outside it, as any movement outside incurs an exaggerated cost. Staying within the defined bounds, they won't bother you and you can have a pleasant enough experience.

Bad experience - do not believe What u see in photos because reality is different, I went to view place That I thought by looking at the photos was new And spacious- reality was small rooms , not very clean( photos for marketing are taken so it shows spacious place) . Before viewing I had a call from agent to confirm viewing and they tried to convince me to secure place without seeing it as aparently market move fast in London. Luckely I did not secure place And now I understand why They do this- to sell place without seeing bad reality. On the top Bills were not included And When I counted in front of agent How much it is he had different figures. Agent was polite so can't complain But I Would not recommend - I waisted my time here ..

In none of the pictures did it indicate the flat was part of council estate housing, but still charging prices above market price? Don't be fooled by the picturesque images on the advert, The rooms were a tip, dirty clothes everywhere with half empty glasses on the table, couldn't even recognise the according rooms from the advert, one room out of the three not even open. Really disappointing and wouldn't recommend anyone to consider using spaces urban living, dont waste your time, a real shame

We stayed at a Spaces Urban Living apartment for a month, they made everything easy and hassle free. The apartment itself was perfect, and was cleaned on a regular basis. I would definitely recommend Spaces Urban Living for easy renting.

Had a great experience in my first year with Spaces. Maintenance issues were always fixed promptly and followed up. All rooms were clean, modern and kitted out with all the necessary furniture. A tad on the expensive side tbh, but I'd definitely recommend them and have done.

Good portfolio of rooms. Practical services and easy to contract. But inflexible tenancy

Spaces have been extremely helpful throughout my time living in their property in South London. They have been quick to answer any emails and phone calls and would always come to sort out any problems in the flat (even though there weren't many at all).

Smooth process overall with the deposit being returned, but what a sneaky way of presenting the apartments and the locations. Had I known that they are going to put me in some estate housing I would've passed on the opportunity.
Beware with these guys: Insist on visiting your future place and only take it without visiting if you must! (The prices are def higher than average.)
In my read, this organisation is to be avoided and only used for short-term emergency rentals, then getting out ASAP. That said, you'll get a relatively smooth admin process with your deposit returned, so I cannot complain on that end.

Spaces urban living really helped me and provided me with reliable and trustworthy advice. I'm moving to London from Birmingham to start uni in September. I dealt with Justin who explained the process clearly to me, answered all my questions and gave me advice about the different locations. After a Skype call I was filled with confidence that I wanted to proceed with the room I had found and also with spaces urban living. I completed the screening process and managed to secure my room ready for September. It's great that they are both a landlord and agent so they can answer all questions quickly. Thanks for your help in finding me my new home, I can't wait to move in!!

Spaces Urban Living is a great option if you're a student living in London and don't want to deal with the nightmare of shared contracts and bills. Finding a room can be difficult especially last minute. I therefore recommend Spaces Urban Living for its practicality and ease. Whenever the boiler broke down in my flat they'd have someone check it and fix it within 3 hours! Plus, the weekly cleaner was an added luxury!

I love the flexible length of contract. The rooms are nicely furnished in neutral colors which allows me to decorate as I'd like and make it look like home. 4 stars only because sometimes the team is difficult to reach and we had problems with the cleaning staff for a while, which were luckily resolved in the end.

Very easy and quick move in process. Any problems dealt with efficiently. Nice to have cleaners and bills included in package. Great to be able to choose length of contract. Helpful staff on the phone. Only downside is the £49 move out fee and additional charge for mattress protector.

Reply from Spaces Life
Overpriced with lots of hidden fees. Technically these fees are on the contract, but you don't get to see this until you have paid the £100 reservation fee. £50 move out fee minimum!
Rooms were nice and in good locations, but common areas contained mould and ants. Almost no freezer space and they refused to add more.
Internet was too slow to allow me to stream when my flatmates did and I was told the speed could not be increased as it was the same across all their properties (even though the new ones were advertised with faster broadband).
They tried to increase the rent a few months after I moved in by £50 - it was already overpriced!
I'm now paying the same amount for a bigger room with a private lounge in a lovely house. Glad I moved!

I've had a great experience with Spaces, really efficient moving in, lovely house, always quick at resolving issues - thanks!
