Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 3,729 reviews, reviewers overwhelmingly had a great experience with this company. Many customers find the service very easy to use and appreciate the flexibility of payment options, allowing them to split payments over time without interest. This payment method is particularly helpful for larger purchases, making items more affordable and providing peace of mind, especially when payments are only made after goods are received. Reviewers frequently highlight the convenience and efficiency of the system, noting that it allows them to control their payments comfortably and acquire desired products or services at an affordable rate. However, some customers also noted confusion and dissatisfaction regarding the payment process, particularly the initial full amount being held on their credit card as a pending charge. This practice led to concerns about credit utilization, blocked funds, and in some cases, even double charges, which impacted their ability to use their credit card for other purchases or negatively affected their credit report.

Not happy with the pre authorization…

Not happy with the pre authorization monthly of the total note amount. There is a reason why there are installments in place.

Thank you for sharing your experience! For all installment plans powered by Splitit, you will see two transactions after checkout:

1. One is the temporary authorization (hold) on your card that guarantees your purchase.
2. The other is the first installment, which is charged immediately.

We have not charged you in full; what you are seeing is the temporary authorization hold, plus your first payment.  With Splitit, you get the benefit of only paying your monthly installment, plus all the benefits of paying with your existing credit card, no new loans or any additional fees! We hope this information addresses your concerns!

Hi Georgia,

Thank you for sharing your experience, and we apologize it was not a positive one this time.

We work very closely with credit card providers to ensure you have the most options when creating a Splitit installment plan. However, there are limitations depending on your country, bank, and the Merchant where you are making a purchase. In some cases, we may not be able to accept your preferred card for the installment plan. And in most cases, a debit/prepaid/FSA or HSA card cannot be used for installments.

We greatly appreciate your understanding in this situation.

I have beeScam-Like Service, Missing Refund, Misleading Support for Over 4 Monthsn trying to get my refund for…

I have been trying to get my refund for more than four months. The support team keeps giving misleading information, delaying responses, and making promises they do not keep. This experience has been very frustrating and stressful. I expected honest support and a quick solution, but instead I was ignored many times. Because of this poor service, I am leaving bad reviews on Trustpilot and other websites, reporting the issue to Simplilearn, Pearson VUE, and consumer protection authorities, and also looking into legal action. I would advise other people to be very careful before using this company because my experience has been extremely disappointing.

Hi Ehab,

I personally have been working your case. The reason your refund is failing because the original charges are two old. The Merchant needs to refund you directly, either with a check or to your bank account. It is standard that credit card transactions cannot be refunded indefinitely, and this not a Splitit created problem.

We are very sorry the resolution is not yet handled, but the Merchant is currently working on refunding you directly. We greatly apologize for the frustration of this situation.

Thank you for sharing your experience! For all installment plans powered by Splitit, you will see two transactions after checkout:

We have not charged you in full; what you were seeing was the temporary authorization hold of £  238.25, plus your first payment of £  21.66. That means your plan was working as intended before you decided to cancel.  With Splitit, you get the benefit of only paying your monthly installment, plus all the benefits of paying with your existing credit card, no new loans or any additional fees!
