shit direct
Sports Direct is a complete disgrace. The staff treat you like an inconvenience rather than a customer, showing zero respect or professionalism. The store is filthy, disorganized, and feels like a bargain bin for junk that nobody else wanted. My order was a total scam—missing items, damaged goods, and the worst part was how they stonewalled me when I tried to get a refund. Customer service is a joke, full of lies and excuses with no accountability whatsoever. Shopping there is a waste of time, money, and patience. If you value your sanity or your wallet, stay as far away from Sports Direct as humanly possible.
DONT GO HERE
Sports Direct was an absolute disaster. The staff were not just unhelpful—they were downright rude and seemed annoyed whenever I asked for assistance. The store was a chaotic mess, with products thrown everywhere like no one cared. My order was delayed for weeks, and when it finally arrived, half the items were either the wrong size or completely damaged. Trying to get a refund was like pulling teeth, with no one taking responsibility. Honestly, it felt like they don’t care about customers at all. I wouldn’t trust Sports Direct with my money again, even if it was free.
Delay.
My order was supposed to arrive by the 14th at the latest, and today, the 16th, I still haven't received it. SportsDirect hasn't notified me or communicated anything. I had no problems with my last order, but not with this one.
No delivery of order…
Hi I ordered jeans for international delivery. They were to be delivered a week ago nothing arrived. I now see they are being returned to sender with no reason provided. I have sent 3 emails to sports direct about my order requesting a refund as order not delivered and have heard nothing. Delivery service and customer service is non existent. Needless to say this will be my last purchase. Sorts direct please refund my money.
Wouldn't give this company even 1 star
Wouldn't give this company even 1 star. Staff are rude and unhelpful. The online store process is so backwards, you have to pay for 4.99 for delivery and another £4.99 for a return which you can't do in store. There is no telephone service for this company so you can't speak to a human, instead you have to go through a very slow wed chat service where no one is helpful at all
No Order Confirmation After One Week
I made a purchase a week ago for two pairs of trainers and paid via Frasers, including an additional £5 for click and collect at a store near my home.
Since then, I have received no confirmation whatsoever — no order number, no email, and no updates about my purchase.
I contacted customer service by email to request clarification and received no response, which is completely unacceptable. As a customer, I have no proof of purchase and no support.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have had issues with this store. I had a bad experience in the past and decided to give it another chance — something I now deeply regret.
On top of that, the in-store experience is also very poor. The staff are often rude, unhelpful, and clearly uninterested in assisting customers.
Due to the lack of communication, absence of customer support, and overall poor experience, I do not recommend this store and will not be shopping here again.
DO NOT PAY FOR NEXT DAY DELIEVERY STILL WAITING 2 DAYS LATER 🤬
I am absolutely disgusted that as a costumer I paid £11.99 for next day delivery for my 10 ye we old a new pair of trainers to which 2 days later I’m still waiting for said trainers can not get an answer on their customer service telephone line absolutely disgusting. I can’t leave my home I suffer with really bad mental health problems so had to order my sons shoes your service is shocking and I will be returning said trainers when they arrive and taking my custom elsewhere
I think it’s absolutely ridiculous and…
I think it’s absolutely ridiculous and abysmal with the return policies…brought my two children the same trainers online, both sizes came up smaller than average so kept the biggest size for my youngest but needed to exchange the smaller size, took them into store but were refused any exchange or refund as the trainers were purchased online and had to do the return online only, keeping in mind initially delivery cost was £5 on top of goods, once I got the returns online sorted there was another fee to return them of another £5..scamming people, what a backwards process!
Unable to contact sports direct or complain
On 23.11.25 I ordered some items for Christmas using the Black Friday deal - meaning I would get a voucher. Except I never did despite my order qualifying
One item actually does not fit but it’s now too late to return as over 28 days - why is this not extended for Christmas?
I have tried for an hour to contact sports direct or complain but the web links simply take you round in circles
Horrendous Product, Horrendous Customer Service
The Astroturf Boots fit awfully when first used. Customer service barely replied to me, and would not let me return them or exchange them. The boots are already breaking after 6 uses, with a section of the front peeling away.
Great customer service
I was in the Bath store today. My daughter and I were served by Wayne. Wayne knew exactly where to find the sports shoes we needed and talked us through our options within that category. My daughter has suffered from shin pain so he went on to talk through insole protection for that, to which he brought his own sporting experience. He was positive and really friendly so we left with exactly what we needed, at a price we could afford. THANKS WAYNE!!

I went to Sports Direct in Bracknell to get a running top & leggings for my daughter for Christmas. I assumed if she tried them on & they didn't fit I would be able to take them back. I went back to the store yesterday with my daughter as they were too big but the store did not have an alternative top in her size which is size 6. Even though they could not supply us with the right size they still refused to give me my money back & instead gave me a credit note which is of no use whatsoever as they don't have anything in her size. They said if we bought them online we could've got a refund but as I bought them in the store she would've had the chance to try them on so they won't refund. This is obviously nonsense as I was buying them as a Christmas present so obviously she did not have the chance to try them on. A voucher is of no use to me if I can't get what I want, which is a running top in size 6! So I've had to go to another shop where they do have a top in her size & spend extra cash which I can't really afford to do. I will not be using this store again.

I paid fast shipping and it arrived one day later. They ruined my Xmas gift
Shocking customer service
Shocking customer service. Visited the Scarborough store today. Asked the assistant for some shoes which were on display. He got the shoes, dumped them on a bench and walked off. No customer service or interaction. I wanted to buy the shoes if they were a good fit and whilst 2 assistants just stood 4 yards back offered no help what so ever. I left the store and bought the exact same shoes on Amazon for 10 quid less. I for one won’t be going to this dump of a shop ever again.

One star flatters them.
This was my first time using their site and it will be my last. I ordered two items from the site. I elected to collect at my local store. On collection I was provided with a collection receipt. On returning home I found the T shirt in the package was not what I ordered. I ordered a Lonsdale branded T shirt with a specific logo on the chest. The T shirt I received was a plain T shirt. I checked the E mail sent on my confirmation of order and the T shirt shown was a plain grey T shirt. I had NOT clicked on this. I checked my collection receipt. On the receipt issued by the store the product code for the T shirt to be collected was the Lonsdale brand I had clicked on at the time of ordering.
Then followed a frustrating period of trying to contact 'customer service'. The site link directed to for this either froze or crashed for periods. Eventually I managed to get a message off to them. After about two days I got a reply from a rep. I supplied all details including screen shots of the email received on ordering and the collection receipt which showed the package should contain a Lonsdale brand T shirt. They insisted I had ordered the plain grey ( which I had not)
I explained that IF I had ordered the plain T shirt then the product code should reflect that on the collection receipt. However the product code on the collection slip showed the product that I did order! They simply refused to even acknowledge the question or provide an answer. After a series of back and forth ( after which I started to wonder if I was dealing with an actual person and in fact AI) as the content was so 'cut and paste' and repetitive, I realised I was wasting my time.
Fortunately the amount involved was not excessive.
Lesson learned.
Refuses refunds. Hides behind “policy”.
Bought £100 Oboz walking shoes from Sports Direct. Within six weeks, the inner heel lining had completely worn through during normal use.
Sports Direct inspected the shoes and refused a refund, claiming “no manufacturing fault” and relying on their returns policy. That ignores the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which requires goods to be of satisfactory quality and durable. Walking shoes at this price point that fail in a few weeks clearly are not!
What makes this worse is another pair of Oboz bought by my partner at the same time, and failing in the same way, was refunded by Sports Direct?! Same product, same fault, different outcome. But with no explanation from Sports Direct of course.
They are very difficult to contact. Customer Service are dismissive and appears mostly interested in shutting customers down as opposed to applying the law.
Be aware that if something goes wrong, you may have to fight for rights you are legally entitled to!
Rude staff
Sports direct staff at the Didcot branch really are a rude bunch, terrible service.
5 Star Customer Service by Lauren, Sports Direct, The Pavillions Shopping Centre, Swords, Dublin
5 Star Customer Service by Lauren, Sports Direct, The Pavillions Shopping Centre, Swords, Dublin
I called into Sports Direct, The Pavillions SC, Swords, Dublin. Lauren was the Sales Advisor who was absolutely excellent in her customer service, knowledge and friendly manner. Lauren was extremely busy looking after numerous customers and handled all including me very well. Other customers were asking loads of questions and Lauren knew each product in detail very well. Lauren is an excellent ambassador for Sports Direct Ireland and I hope this positive feedback is relayed back to Lauren.
The 2 T shirts I was buying were in mix…
The 2 T shirts I was buying were in mix and match. When I got to the checkout the woman was rude and told me I couldn’t mix and match which is what it said on both t shirts. The women spoke to me like I was stupid
Bad service at Sports Direct, Headrow, Leeds
On Tuesday I went into the Sports Direct Headrow Leeds and after browsing and then choosing a pair of trainers to purchase, a staff member said I could not purchase as they were closing. It was 6.50pm and the shop closed at 7pm. There had not been an announcement to indicate that the shop was closing and with it being 6.50pm there was still plenty of time to make the purchase. Nevertheless, I decided I would come back the next day (Wednesday). I did so. I went back to the shelf where I had seen the trainers and looked for a member of staff to get me the size 6 but there was no one about. I walked to the tills. The store is large and even on the way to the tills, I could not see any staff to help me. While waiting in the queue the till staff member, seeing the trainer in my hand, rudely told me if wanted to purchase the trainers I needed to talk to staff in the shoe department. I told her there was no one about. She said I needed to find someone. I told her I had looked and there was no one about. She rudely said she couldn’t help me but would use her radio to contact someone to help me and she said I needed to make my way back to the shoe dept. I made my way back to the shoe dept and we came across 2 staff members and asked for their help. We were met with the same aggressive response. When my friend said we were unhappy with the staff treatment and asked to see the manager, one of the staff said she was the one in charge. She too was rude. The customer service of the staff is diabolical at this store. I decided not to make a purchase. Not only is it difficult to find staff on the shop floor, the ones you do find need to be trained to know how to speak to customers and be helpful. I felt violated. Horrible experience.
