Collar is as described…
Collar is as described. So far, works extremely well with no issues. My dog really doesn’t need it anymore on our property as he respects the border after only a few weeks of use. It’s more of a security blanket and great for travel situations. Would love to see advancements in collar size, but that’s being picky.

Collar is reliable
Collar is reliable, i often have lag when i try to interact with the collar on my phone. The collar itself works perfectly and keeps my dog within bounds but the interaction with my phone doesn’t work 30% of the time.

I have had a Spot on collar for several years now, with a subscription (real time tracking). Living on a farm with fair bit of acreage, it is great to be able to restrict how far my dogs can explore and know where they are at anytime. I had an issue with on collar and Spot on was fabulous with repairing the collar!

Had to return. I honestly wanted to love this collar so bad but we just had too many issues and overall the battery life just killed it for me. Our collar actually spent more time on the charger than it did on my dog which isn't helpful at all. In my opinion the product is NOT worth the high dollar price they're asking and then I top of that you have the outrageous yearly subscription for something that's not even totally reliable. The amount of times my dog left boundary and got no correction is wild. No thanks
In response to their reply, yes I would have done the troubleshooting however like I mentioned before the battery life is just not worth the time. I had it on extended battery life 80 percent of the time I had the collar and it really only got me maybe 2-4ish extra hours so instead of having to charge it every 12 hours I made it maybe 16 17 hours. Absolutely not worth it. My dogs are outside WORKING dogs on 22 acres with no fence they work at NIGHT when yall recommend charging it. Im totally for a less technically working dog collar that's reliable and last more than 24 hours. 48 hours and you definitely got yourself a 1000 collar. Come out with that and maybe I'll consider repurchasing.

Highly recommend!
The SpotOn fence collar has made our life so much easier with our puppy. We trained her - we did put up flags so the boundary was visible and had to experiment with the level of correction but once we figured out how high was enough, it has been wonderful. She stays in the yard and within her boundary, even when wanting to chase something outside of her boundary. We have a second house and did the same thing with that property and she did perfectly there as well. It is so easy to just switch fences when we go between homes. Highly recommend!

Collar didn’t hold boundaries well
The collar was inconsistent in sounding the alarm when crossing over the boundary I set. That rendered it unusable for training and for use.
UPDATE: In their reply, SpotOn said my collar was returned in April, seeming to cast doubt on why my review was in June. I BOUGHT the collar in April and returned it at the end of June, after giving it a long and honest try.

Not worth $1000 bucks
Overall the collar works well after it's configured. Getting there is the hard part. The app is horrible in my opinion. If you are in an area with poor cell service, good luck setting up a fence.
I tried the "walk the fence line" feature and found it to be horribly inaccurate. It also added so many unwanted "fence posts" that I spent more time fixing the fence than it would take to just pinch zoom on my phone and setup a fence that way.
The collar itself is stiff plastic and feels cheap. It is very difficult to strap it on to my Border Collie's neck. I hate that and would love an alternative option.
Also, I hate that when I turn a fence on or off the app asks me like 6 times if I'm sure I want to do that. How ridiculous.
Overall this product is not worth $1000 bucks and I would never buy this again. In fact I think I would go with a Halo collar if I had the choice again.

When it comes to containment and fence creation that relies solely on the collar having a strong GPS satellite connection, cellular has no effect on containment or creating/editing a fence. Cellular subscriptions are only used for notifications and features within the tracking tab of the app, and is a fully optional piece of the system.
I hope this helps to better understand the use cases for satellites and cell service. We look forward to hearing from you and resolving any issues you may currently be facing with Oreo's collar.

Mixed results.
Generally, the SpotOn GPS fence works well, but it's not consistent. Here's the problems I've had: Occasionally, the location data is off by 10, 20 or more feet. This morning, it was off by about 100 feet and showed my dog's location to be in the road in front of my house when she was clearly not close to the road. Even after I shut the collar down & rebooted it was showing her in the road. The battery life can barely get through the day now even though I bought an extended life battery. To be fair, it is 15 months old. The shock feature is much too powerful. When I first set it up I started at a low setting around 4. When that didn't work, I put it at just below 50%. Not long after I found two open wounds on her neck where the collar points burned her. I've put it back to 4. The good thing about the SpotOn system is that the fence boundaries are easy to set up. And it is an effective system to keep your dog on your property.

We'd also be happy to evaluate your battery performance. Although battery capacity naturally decreases over time, a 15-month-old collar should still provide dependable runtime, and our team can help determine whether what you're experiencing is expected.
We also wanted to address the skin irritation you mentioned. The collar's contact points are incapable of generating enough heat to cause a burn. In situations like this, the cause is typically a pressure sore from prolonged contact or friction, or, in some cases, an allergic skin reaction. Rotating the collar position slightly each day, ensuring you can comfortably fit two fingers under the strap, and periodically removing the collar while your dog is resting can help prevent irritation.
