They confirmed my debt was prescribed, then sold it to another company to harass meve never experienced such gross…
I have never experienced such gross incompetence and negligence from a credit provider.
On 28 January 2026, Nimble Credit Solutions sent me an official letter (which I still have) confirming that after a thorough investigation, my alleged debt with Homechoice (Reference: 26HC075863) was PRESCRIBED. The letter explicitly stated: "This letter serves as confirmation that the above account has been closed and you will no longer receive any further communication from Nimble Credit Solutions in regard thereto."
Great. Problem solved. Or so I thought.
The Harassment Begins
Less than a month later, I started receiving emails and calls from Shapiro Shaik Defries and Associates (SSDA) —a debt collection attorney—demanding payment for the EXACT SAME DEBT. When I asked SSDA where they got the information, they told me Nimble sold them the debt in December 2025—a full month BEFORE Nimble confirmed to me in writing that it was prescribed and closed.
So let me get this straight:
Nimble sells a debt in December 2025.
On 28 January 2026, Nimble tells ME the debt is prescribed and closed.
Nimble apparently FORGOT TO TELL THEIR OWN BUYER (SSDA) that the debt was dead.
Now I am being harassed by lawyers for a debt that Nimble themselves admitted does not exist.
I even called Nimble last week, and an agent admitted the debt was prescribed and promised to remove me from their system. Yet the harassment from SSDA continues.
The Result?
I have wasted hours of my life dealing with this. I have had to get the National Credit Regulator involved. I have had to pull credit reports to prove the debt is closed. All because Nimble cannot manage their own data or communicate with the companies they sell debts to.
If you sell a debt to a third party, and then you confirm that debt is legally prescribed, it is your responsibility to recall that data. Nimble failed to do so. They are negligent, unprofessional, and their broken systems are causing consumers real emotional distress.
Avoid doing business with them. If they sell your debt, you have no idea if they will actually close the file or just sell it to someone else behind your back.
