Really like this software. Saves me time and makes finding what I need easier

difficult to navigate and use user-interface. While it works some of the time, crashes, stability problems and compatibility issues still remain after all these years. Hence, it's just not a good product. If you are attempting to offer a product that is going to efficiently "replace" a standard stable PC background wallpaper, you literally have to do so in a way that doesn't degrade performance of the OS, the hardware etc. It must be able to equal the basic stability of a good wallpaper or it is nothing more than a fancy video player that doesn't work half the time. facts. and this is what we are dealing with in this ambitious, yet fatally flawed product that is so unstable and easily crashable with all of it's compatibility and performance issues, that I could never recommend it as a solid real world wallpaper replacement that offers a video option. The performance hit costs alone on a decent PC are an automatic deal breaker for anyone with half a brain. And if this critique sounds too harsh to you? YOU are the problem at Stardock for not being able to recognize a truth when it is laid out in basic writing for you. take of this what you will. Either offer a stable real world functional wallpaper replacement product or don't. but don't pretend to and slap a price on it... your reputation will not last long like that. EDIT: The stardock reply exactly proved my point. (directing me to their beta feedback website and denial of any problems whatsoever. Look it does kind of work? lol but you guys are clearly not getting it. keep ignoring. keep a mediocre product. good luck with that. first couple posts I saw where you directed me...
"i updated to the beta version the regular won't work" or
"I installed the beta all Im getting is a black screen with everything."
"Any updates on a fix or new beta"

And to every complaint, an excuse is given instead of an actual fix or resolution. So thanks Stardock for perfectly proving every word I just stated here once again. companies like you will eventually fade into obscurity once people figure out your scams and shoddy performance. like it or not. OR you could just try something different and do better? again. good luck with that. I'm out. won't recommend. done.

I would like to have a more diverse desktop.

Very useful programs to customize Windows. Object desktop is an affordable set of tools. Thanks to all these intelligent softwares I was able to organize Windows the way I wanted with a touch of personal design and a lot of useful functions. Really a must have !

Stardock's tools are fun, productive, and a must-have for me. Their dynamic desktops and window management features streamline my workflow and add a cool factor to my setup. Highly recommended!

Great products and customer service. They had some payment processor issues but were willing to keep discussing and trying to resolve them. I no longer have problems with that. Start v2 was a little sus but it's worth the upgrade after even paying for double for it. I respect that you're willing to try new things as company.

Their Forum rep/s responded quickly and were helpful in resolving our issues.

Great desktop background app with lots of user-created content. I have been using Wallpaper Engine on Steam for years, but it's full of anime and partially nude animations... Not much choice unless you like that sort of stuff, but Stardock has a lot of great content.

The product is well thought out and executed. I love how it organizes my files and even better, there is a new feature where I double-click my desktop, and everything but my background and windows are hidden. I double-click again, and they come back.

Personally, it was... not great. Mainly DeskScapes.

When I first started it up, it prompted me to use a product key or use my account. So, being without a product key, I created a Stardock account and used the other way. Or... "tried to", at least.
Everytime I did try to log in with my account, it brought me to another window, saying "this account isn't associated with DeskScapes". I tried and tried again, even downloading another DeskScapes launcher after I created my account, but it STILL wouldn't work. So, I just gave up and clicked 30-day trial instead.
Safe to say, my experience didn't go as well as it showed on the website. I just wanted to upload my own gif file as my background, but I had to go to a different website to do that, plus create another account... which is just a little annoying at this point.
That's not even the last problem, either. When I picked a random animated background from the DeskScapes window, a moon shining over a moving lake/river as I recall, it showed up as if it was 144p and just left a bad taste in my mouth.
Truthfully, I'm sorry to say all of that. I know it's all probably problems on my end, but... honestly? DeskScapes, for me, was pretty bad.

This product does just what I hoped. Love it.

The entire reason I wanted this was to see pictures of my trip to Ireland. However, all the pictures I try are turned sideways. There needs to be a "rotate" button. Im not sure if I will keep the program or not.

I dont know how i lived without it, helps organize your desktop and sorting so much better!!
