On the way back from Turkey, at the checkin desk we've been charged 50€ for 2 kg extra across 3 bags. We had 3x8kg hand bags allowance but we carried only 2x4kg bags and we didnt ask for a refund for that... At the boarding gate families with young children have no priority, this is the only airline doing this. The prices on board are matching the luxury airlines but the product are low quality.
The only positive about this airline is the staff which is very kind. If i will have to choose, I will never fly with them again, it was a poor experience overall.
Nasty airline.
From check in to landing, the staff are rude, abrasive and nasty. Check in desk snatched my passport despite already checking in and accompanying someone else, moved my seat to a less favourable one.
Sign stating additional checks would occur and to ask if any questions. Question of why was met with "its random" before I was singled out for an excessive random search. They mainly pulled women to be searched by marking our boarding passes with a tick and writing lots of notes on the manifest, that I was again not allowed to ask why.
They snatch & grab your belongings and you, they dont have any manners or courtesy. Forget about a please or thank you they just bark and order you.
Their extra baggage charges only apply to certain customers and vary in price depending on what colour your skin is! Cant use your google/apple pay on board. No free water and dont dare press the call button if you need anything as they want to relax behind the curtain. The plane seats are uncomfortable and the worst landing I've ever experienced in the 40 plus years of travelling. First and last time I'll use them, I'd rather swim shark infested waters than use this awful airline ever again.

I regret to inform you that my recent experience with your airline was quite disappointing. Typically, I travel with EasyJet and have a specific backpack designed to fit under the seat. We purchased this bag specifically for our travels, as we prefer to travel light. Unfortunately, while I was allowed to take the backpack with me when departing from the UK, I encountered issues when leaving Turkey. They charged me £60 for the bag, despite explaining that I had traveled with it from the UK. The staff did not show any willingness to accommodate my situation and insisted on the payment.
Additionally, I found the customer service to be unsatisfactory. During my time in Turkey, I felt that I was treated with a lack of respect. The security procedures appeared to be discriminatory; Turkish nationals were not subjected to the same level of scrutiny as foreign travelers. Regardless of one's background, it seemed that foreigners were routinely searched.

All good except cabin crew on the way to Dalyan. One person was not trained and not helpful. All staff did not speak good English unlike the crew coming back which were excellent. Both ways my sandwich was cold (freezing) and they ran out of wine after one serving

Very close between 4 and 5 stars but I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt as I’d say you deserve it.
We booked our flight for London Gatwick to Antalya through TUI and were put on a SunExpress flight as one of their partner airlines. I was initially a bit nervous about flying with this airline as I had never heard of them and I found out they had the Boeing 737-8 which has had problems in the past.
The flight out was probably a 4-star. The check-in went like any other and the pre-flight was standard. We were put on an A320 thankfully so I was relieved. The menu wasn’t great for me but others may have liked it. The flight was uneventful but the score was dented by the legroom being almost non-existent. The crew were very friendly though.
Our return flight was good. We were taken by bus to the plane and to my horror it was a 737-8. I was very worried but funnily enough you played music prior to the flight and it quelled my nerves. The legroom on this young plane was in abundance and it was much more comfortable than on the way out. You played music before landing too. It also calmed me down. Flight home was a great experience!
I had great difficulties with 2 bookings with online check in and with the booking of extras. Everything was only possible after many consultations with my travel agent. This also led to multiple charges from my credit card. I will treat the problem if it is not automatically solved after the end of my vacation.

I have flown with this company a couple of times and always had great in flight service. Today I needed to contact them regarding an up coming flight and expected the usual airline customer service run around. Far from it, although it gave a warning of a long wait my call was answered quickly, the young lady was helpful, informative and able to answer my query immediately. What a pleasure to receive such excellent help. Thank you so much I am just sorry I failed to get the name of the young lady concerned.
We flew to Antalya on May 14th. Everything was great—the flight departed on time. One comment: the restrooms were closed for a very long time, which is a problem for people with children.
The air conditioning was none it was a sweat box and family accidentally left a child’s suitcase at the gate when we arrived at the plane we remembered the suitcase I spoke with one of the staff he radioed and was told security had taken it to lost and found I asked if they could get it as there was enough time but they refused we was on the plane 45 and in that time they could of arranged security to of taken it back to the gate but still refused I was told if you have someone here that can collect it I don’t I was on holiday not to see family 🙄very unhelpful same with customer services on the phone didn’t want to help so my granddaughter has lost all her clothes and there where personal items in there
Absolutely terrible experience with SunExpress. I am genuinely angry and frustrated after wasting HOURS just trying to add 20kg extra baggage for my flight from Antalya to Dublin.
First of all, their website is a complete disaster. Nothing works properly. I searched everywhere to add baggage and there was no clear option at all. Then I thought maybe the app would work better — so I downloaded the app, created an account, logged in, wasted even more time… and still nothing. Completely useless.
After spending nearly 2 HOURS on online chat support going around in circles with no real help, I STILL couldn’t add baggage online. In the end, the only solution was to CALL them directly. Why in 2026 do customers need to waste half their day for something so basic?
And the biggest joke? Last year for the exact same route, Antalya to Dublin, I paid around €35 for extra baggage. This year it’s almost DOUBLE — €60 for the same 20kg bag. So not only is the system broken, but the prices have become ridiculous too.
SunExpress seriously needs to fix their website, app, and customer service because this experience was stressful, time-consuming, and honestly unacceptable. Customers should not have to fight with a broken system just to buy luggage.

Very easy to book seat reservation with Sun Express for a TUI Booked holiday. WE have flown with Sun Express on the last two holidays and found the experience to be very good.
Simple procedure as most online airlines are. The only reason I didn't give a 5* rating was the was no option to book in instruments. They have sports equipment options but no musical instruments. As a person who travels with a guitar I find this frustrating having to try and get hold of customer services that rarely answer the call because the line is too busy.
Horrendous experience all around. Our initial flight was cancelled, we got rebooked for the next day. Then we get to the airport and were denied boarding due to the flight being overbooked. The airport staff were trying to call SunExpress to get support, to no avail. We missed a day and a half of our holiday, and after I insisted on a voucher, they gave us EIGHT EUROS. Stay far away.
I had an extremely disappointing and stressful experience with SunExpress during check-in. There were several staff members at the counter, but they seemed inexperienced and unsure of basic travel rules. I am a Canadian citizen, yet after checking my Canadian passport, staff asked me for a visa to Canada, which shows a serious lack of knowledge.
They also gave incorrect information about baggage allowance, even though my ticket clearly stated I was entitled to two checked bags and a carry-on. After long discussions and showing my Lufthansa connection ticket, they finally accepted it.
The most unacceptable part was how they treated my mother. They refused to let her board because her passport was not signed and claimed she would need to return to our home country. We offered to sign it immediately, but they refused and claimed it was “German law” due to our connection. My mother recently had heart surgery, and this situation caused extreme stress and panic.
Because of their mishandling, she lost both her tickets and I had to purchase new flights at a much higher price. This was a completely avoidable situation and reflects poor training and unprofessional customer service. I would not recommend SunExpress based on this experience.
The on line booking is just so confusing I have already booked a seat and bags but it still wants me to pay for something I don’t want and if I don’t I have to get my boarding pass at airport and seat number and then being told told by checking person that it will charge me £5.00 also coming back we had no internet connection at hotel so we could not check in on line and the same process as before
