Client rang me mid first tour and advised that this tour was sub-standard and we not happy at all. I hope the next 2 tours are not the same

Loved Sicily (I believe it was called the Sicily Carousel). Tour was amazing, tour guide Franco Caputo was outstanding. However, the Malta part of the tour was very average. I specifically booked a small group tour I got that in Sicily, transfer to airport in Catania all good. I was on with 4 other people from my Sicily tour also doing the same tour to Malta. We get to the airport in Malta, everyone had their transfer pick ups, 4 of the group got sent to the Seaview Hotel (which I was supposed to go to as well, thinking we would all be together), but I was taken to the Marina Corinthia. Got inat 930am, I returned from going out when arriving at the hotel as I couldn't check in till 3pm, hours away to be handed an envelope from Robert Arrigo & Sons, with a welcome letter, a brochure of Malta (in French??), advice to contact a Marco Otello Santese on What's App which I couldn't do, times of my pick ups in my "tour days" written on the back of the envelope, Ok, that's fine, hotel was lovely so no issues, I assumed I would catch up on with the "small group" tour the next day with the rest if my group but instead, I was picked up in a large coach, stopping at all the different hotels being transferred to the meeting point where everyone would go to their specific language guide. Mine had 30 people, didn't see my group. Next 3 days, same thing. I saw my group who was also experiencing the same thing, on one of the tours for about 5 minutes. The tours were pretty average, very rushed and very impersonal, not what I paid for, to be honest, I could have done the Malta part of my tour myself and not paid for a tour company to organise. Disappointing really, after Sicily was amazing.

I did not book with Sun Island Tours in 2024 so unsure why I’ve received this survey but did in 2020. My friend and I had to cancel due to the start of the Covid epidemic and they kept our deposits.
