Company should be charged criminally...

Where to begin...
Despite the many company-purchased-looking 5-star reviews, we knew this was going to be a 1-star experience. We booked Supercheap Storage and Removals solely because they were the only company willing to pick up our contents from our inner-city street for our interstate move.
We took several precautions to prepare for what we expected to be terrible service. We booked months in advance and paid our deposit, which they promptly "lost". We had to dig through our transactions to provide proof of payment. They then sent us FIVE incorrect confirmation emails before finally getting all the details right. Leading up to our departure, we called multiple times to make sure everything was actually organised.
An interstate move is extremely stressful, and we booked our flights for the day after collection, assuming that, as a one-star company, they would be late, to say the least. If only we had been so lucky.
The day before collection, we received an SMS saying our pick-up date had changed. Immediately afterwards, we received another SMS saying the previous message was an error and our original pick-up date was going ahead. They gave us a six-hour window to be ready.
They called twice that morning to confirm collection was going ahead and told us to expect a call from the driver an hour before arrival.
At 5:30 pm, in the final hour of the collection window, we still hadn't heard anything. We called them, only to discover they had apparently decided to move our collection to the following day. We explained that this was not possible because our flights were booked for that day.
We demanded a refund of our deposit and were told it was non-refundable, despite the company being the one that had failed to honour the agreed collection date. We were left scrambling to change our flights and return the following day, travelling an hour each way from our BnB just to meet the removalists.
What was meant to be a flight to Melbourne to enjoy my birthday turned into a long dumpster-fire moving day. Their offer of $50 compensation for the "inconvenience" was insulting. We demanded $200.
Unfortunately, the collection delay was only the beginning.
After our possessions were collected, communication effectively ceased. A few weeks later, when we arrived and opened our storage unit, the results were appalling.
Our boxes were smashed beyond recognition, as if someone had run over them with a truck. Most of our belongings were damaged, items appeared to have been stepped on, and things had been hastily thrown back together and wrapped in cling film. My laptop had apparently been thrown around so violently that its screen was only pixels.
We reported the damage to Supercheap immediately, provided photographs, and advised them that we had CCTV evidence showing the condition of our belongings when they arrived at the storage facility.
Since then, they have ghosted us. Despite our attempts to resolve the matter, we have been given no meaningful response or clear opportunity to pursue the insurance coverage we were told we were entitled to. We are now seeking assistance through the relevant consumer affairs channels to try to get this resolved.
Supercheap has shown a blatant disregard not only for our belongings, but also for us as human beings. They wasted our time, caused unnecessary stress during an already difficult interstate move, damaged our possessions, and then stopped communicating when we needed them to take responsibility.
The blatant miscommunication, contradictory messages, broken commitments and shocking handling of our belongings made an already stressful time nearly unmanageable.
I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. Save yourself the money, time and heartache by going literally anywhere else.

Choose any other company!!

If it was possible to give negative stars, I would. This has to be the most deplorable organisation to arrange transport with.
Repeated failure to deliver on days as committed, the process has taken weeks with atrocious customer service and no ability to track the product being delivered, accompanied by waiting all day just for another no show, followed by hours on the phone to be repeatedly told there were “issues with the truck!”. The lack of service, systems and extensive delays are beyond a joke. Avoid this organisation at all cost.

Damages and wont pay

Firstly they never turn up on time - minimum of 4-5 hours late.
But please don't expect them to treat anything with care.
They broke my table and are refusing to pay for any damages.
Don't use these people, their are much better companies around

Absolutely shocking – three failed collections and constant excuses

Absolutely shocking experience. I have never dealt with a company so unreliable, dishonest and unprofessional.
Super Cheap Interstate Removals rescheduled my collection THREE times and failed to collect my belongings every single time. Not once did they proactively call me to tell me they weren’t coming. Every time, I had to chase them to find out where the truck was.

The first collection was booked for 12–5pm. When they didn’t arrive, I contacted them and was eventually given a new time of 7–9:30pm, then 11pm–midnight. I was in direct contact with the driver, who initially said he was delayed because of a flat tyre and needing to stop for dinner, and tried to move the collection to midnight. I explained that I desperately needed the collection to go ahead and was prepared to wait. Around 10 minutes later, the office suddenly called to say the truck had completely broken down and the collection was cancelled.

They rescheduled.

The second collection was another no-show. Once again, nobody contacted me to tell me they weren’t coming — I had to call them. I was told the driver “just didn’t feel like it”, yet I was subsequently given another explanation about a broken-down truck.

They rescheduled again.

The third scheduled collection also did not happen, with yet another explanation involving a broken truck.
Three scheduled collections. Three failures to collect. Repeatedly waiting around for a truck that never arrived. Not one proactive phone call to tell me the collection wasn’t happening. Instead, I had to continually chase them for information while being given changing explanations. Absolute liars.

To make matters worse, when I asked for the supervisor’s name, they refused to give it to me because apparently “that information is confidential.” I have also since discovered that they trade under different business names (OZ CHEAP MOVERS PTY LTD,MELBOURNE CHEAP MOVERS, Book A Move), is worth knowing when researching this company.
This wasn't a minor delay or an unavoidable one-off mechanical problem. It was a repeated pattern of confirmed arrangements not being honoured and appalling communication.

They were perfectly capable of taking my deposit and making promises about the service they would provide. Actually providing that service was another matter entirely.

I would never trust this company with any of my belongings,

One star only because zero isn't an option.

Worst company ever...do not use them

One star because we cant give them less. This company are the worst company we have the misfortune to come across. We booked a job with them, we took time of work to meet them at the delivery address after confirming that they would definitely be there. They never even turned up, we got a phone call, hours after they should have been there, with some ridiculous story that the lorry had broken down. The next delivery date was a full two weeks later, again a no show, and this time they didn't even bother to call. We called them when again they didn't show up, only to be told that there was another problem, the driver was tired!!! Furious, we asked for our deposit back and for the keys to our storage unit to be returned. A.month later we have still not received pur keys back, despite emails and calls. This company is utterly appalling, unprofessional and should not be allowed to operate in Australia. Disgusting. We will be taking legal action against this atrocious company

Beware - do not use this company

We chose Supercheap specifically because of their guaranteed delivery date. Our delivery was four days late, leaving us in our new home without furniture, appliances and essential belongings.

Unfortunately, the problems didn't end there. We were charged an additional $550, despite the items matching our original inventory, and experienced multiple instances of poor packing and damage — including a damaged wall, broken picture frame, crockery and glasses, and a mower that arrived covered in oil and is now not starting.

We raised these issues repeatedly and were mostly ignored. After sales service was extremely poor, after multiple calls and e-mails to resolve these issues they simply stopped responding.

Very poor experience from start to finish. I would definitely not recommend Supercheap Removals.

Late, Lackadaisical and Laughable

PLEASE NOTE; the good reviews are about the previous owners.
If you want your belongings to arrive 11 days late, be charged for two trucks, have your wooden tables and beds damaged, and items lost, then this is the company for you. When I complained about a large wool rug not arriving I was told it was my fault for not alerting them soon enough. I told the delivery drivers at the time, however, they are not the same who load so they just brushed it off.
The first truck broke down and the second truck got a flat tyre. Four wooden tables and a wooden bed frame had scrapes and chips out of them on the surface because the first driver stacked them without using blankets. I had photo evidence of this and that the items were stacked carelessly and without blankets. They just told me that this could have been done mid-load or something as though that was an excuse.
A third of my stuff was left because they said it was in excess of the 20m3 quoted. As they are picking up 3 to 4 other houses in the same truck they just care about fitting in the other orders. I know it wasn't over volume because the truck that moved it there only had a capacity for 20cm. I had a statement to say this from that removalist and had gotten rid of many items since. I paid for 30 m3 and the storage shed only had a capacity of 29m3 floor to ceiling. At least half of my items were 1-2 metres from the ceiling.
In the meantime I couldn't move into my rental and then I had to borrow kitchen items and slept on a bed on the floor. It was a public holiday weekend and late notice so I couldn't book another company and had to get this company to do the second load.
They refunded me $300 for the first truck being late and then another $200 'Good Will' for the other complaints not admitting to anything being their fault.
The trucks are not signed and are not in good condition. The first truck arrived with 2 men and then another 2 men turned up saying they were doing the next delivery so I have 4 men at my house which I did think was appropriate as a single female.
My large wool rug was not recovered. I finally received all of my things 11 days from the original quoted date.

Broken promises and poor customer…

Broken promises and poor customer service. No update 2 days prior as promised. On the day of the eta, I used suppliers tools for tracking. They give a mobile number making you think your going to get a direct link to tracking system, no, just an auto reply directing to call 1300 number. I call, they tell me will leave a message with driver to call in the next 1 - 2 hr. My main issue, I had 4 large pieces of furniture apparently coming on a specific date. On the day of arrival, was home to receive, just want assurances the delivery was definitely coming that day. Not an exact or updated time JUST confirm its arriving that day. The CS rep. Jack, had his auto reply script on, honestly, I might as well have been speaking to a bot. The minute I questioned the quality of their service, I was met with immediate defensiveness (which speaks volumes), and aggression. He then very loudly, clearly trying to make a scene for his colleagues that I was 'having a go' at him. There is a major difference between voicing your dissatisfaction respectfully and 'having a go' at someone. The extreme sensitivity to negative feedback from 'professional businesses' like this is absolutely pathetic.
Update - no call back. Rang back to speak to another automatically, highly defensive CS rep. who had the update but never communicated to customer. And on it goes... key circus music.

Booked a move from Melbourne to Adelaide

Booked a move from Melbourne to Adelaide. Booking was relatively smooth. Two days prior to the move date I was told the truck they were planning to use had broken down and wanted to bring the move date forward and pick up at a time I would have been at work. After explaining to the person on the phone that pick up had to be the day arranged she said they will sort it out.
The day before moving I was told the movers would be at my house between 7am and 8am so I got up early only to have them not turn up unitl 10:30. Very little communication from the movers to myself except to ask me to help with some of the moving.
After my belongings were loaded they told me drop off for one item to a different address would be around midday the following day and the remaining items after that. I explained that I would be at the new address between 2 and 3pm and that my mother would not be able to assist with putting the couch back together. They did say they could do it but I told them not to as it can be a bit complicated.
Whilst driving to Adelaide, the mover called to say they were dropping off the first item (a fridge) at 8am - a lot earlier than arranged. They then turned up at my new address at 9:30 when they weren't expected until later and wanted cash payment rather than card.
When I turned up, I found they had attempted to put together my couch and almost ruined it by not putting the backs on the brackets properly. I have found they also scuffed some of the electronic control buttons.
When I went to put my desk back together I found that they had damaged it beyond repair.
I have spoken to a company representative who refuses to take responsiblity for the damage caused saying that the drivers told me the desk was too weak to move the way it was (my partner and I have moved a similar desk 3 times without damage). They did not tell me this as I would have dismantled it more had they said something.
They offered me $60 compensation for a desk that cost me over $200.
The company refuse to take responsibility for the damages they cause to your furniture, lie and victim blame all the way.
If you're planning a move, big or small, avoid this company at all costs. Their fees might be low but it will cost you more in the long run.
