Recently purchased a car from sw the sales team was friendly and professional, unfortunately by the time I got home I had a warning light come on which said low oil pressure and said stop 🛑. Rang Antony up in the service department he had the car recovered and taken back to the workshop diagnosed the problem and fitted new parts , I have now run the car for four days and are quite happy with the service team .

Car had damage on it, was supplied without a V5 and weirdly without a brake pedal cover
don’t normally leave reviews but I’m about fed up with the way this company has handled my complaint.
First the car was supplied to me without a V5 which I wasn’t told about until the car was dropped off (granted to the company’s credit they gave me a refund after I’d gone to apply for it) and weirdly enough it didn’t have a brake pedal cover which they said the would send to me. It’s now been over a month and I’ve still not had it so got a feeling that’s not happening now .
The car was driven to to me as I live quite a distance away (around 150 miles) so the car was dirty when it was delivered so any inspection of the car was near pointless this brings me on to my main complaint. I had the car serviced as it hadn’t had one in over a year and part of the service is that they fully cleaned the car. After this I noticed that there was a nasty scratch on the side of the car and thought I’d contact the company to let them know and hopefully deal with the problem.
I was then told that the car didn’t have the damage when it was supplied to me and as I didn’t let them know the day I received the car the car I couldn’t drive as I didn’t have a V5 so couldn’t tax and go get cleaned they said can’t do anything. I looked back at the walk around video the did and the damage was visible there. After sending this to the company it took them 2 weeks to get back to me to tell them that they couldn’t see the damage on the video even though it is clearly visible. I’ve now had to contact my finance company to deal with this for me as I can’t seem to get anywhere further.
I wouldn’t have purchased this car if I knew there was damage on it and although it is minor damage it wasn’t disclosed to me. all I can say is I’m beyond disappointed with the treatment after buying the car.
I would like to add the customer service when interested in the car was really Good they were helpful and answered any questions would have been a great experience if it wasn’t for the problems I’ve had after purchased the car.

I have recently purchased a car from SW car supermarket. The customer service was excellent. However on Friday 5th of March my car did not start. I kept turning my key but nothing happened. I called sw car supermarket and explained the problem. The service and maintenance team were very helpful. Anthony who works in the service and maintenance department kindly sorted my problem. An engineer came and fitted a new car battery for free. The car is now working perfectly. I am very pleased with the service provided by sw car supermarket.

Great Value Great Service and Family Owned (not too corporate)
Had a good experience. Family owned business. Great customer service. Jay Toms was friendly and attentive. But most important of all SW Car Supermarket offer great value and a fantastic range of stock at very keen prices. We bought a low mileage 16 plate mini and SW's competitors could not come close on price for a comparable vehicle. Would recommend and would go back and buy another vehicle.

Price decent but very misleading staff
Price decent but very misleading.
As a person who is purchasing their first car, you would expect them to give you as much information as possible (hence one of the reasons of not going to a private seller). However, I paid the deposit, ready to purchase, in the last minute, I'm told the car is overdue for a service. I asked whether this would be included within the price. He then warned me I could take it without servicing but it would void the warranty. This was just a sales technique for you to pay additional money for the car in the last minute. This really upset me as I said no and I would like my deposit back.
The man I spoke to Anjam, spoke with frustration. However, I did NOT want to go through with it. You'd expect if its overdue, they would service the car.
He then said what's another 227 to service the car. the point wasn't the money, it was more with the lack of information or warning over the couple of days I spoke to them, that this would in fact void the warranty if I didn't go through with the servicing.
Guy on the phone then became snappy. I asked for my refund and he just said okay bye.
Found this experience really upsetting. Anyway, decided not to take the car solely because of how Anjam spoke to me.

Very helpful on the phone and sent a video of the car we were interested in so that we could see it close up (we live some distance away). Unfortunately the V5 log book papers were not up to date but the sales staff sorted this out by visiting the Post Office on our behalf whilst we waited. Good customer service and we are very pleased with the car.

Excellent customer service
During lockdown our beloved Ford S Max finally croaked it.
We found 3 newer ones online in the same price and year range we were looking for. We arranged to purchase the one from SW Car Supermarket (without looking at the reviews on here first)
We reserved the car with ease in the evening and were called the next day by the sales team to go through what happens next. I was sent a quick walk around video of the car and was advised there was nothing they could see regarding marks/damage etc (I couldn’t see well at all from the video as the car was covered in rain)
I paid the cash across and the car was delivered 3 weeks later as agreed. Nice easy handover and they let off an antibacterial bomb inside to clear it out before I used it, it smelled lovely!
When we checked over the car we did in fact notice some deep scratches on the back bumper which I took photos of and sent across. This was passed across to Isaac (I think that’s his name!) and Anthony in the service team. They dealt with this query so efficiently and I’m happy to say that the work has been completed today to rectify this.
Obviously this was a second hand car and you do expect it won’t be perfect; however we may have purchased one of the other 2 we were looking at, had we known about these marks. Nevertheless I’m so pleased with how quickly and well this was dealt with and overall I would highly recommend SW Car Supermarket who have done a brilliant job, especially during lockdown and given they probably have less staff on too
Thank you to the wonderful service team for their help

Great company!!
I’ve purchased my last 3 cars from SW and have never had any issues, My first car was a BMW 3 Series and that had 118k and ran sweet up to 190k and was still going like the first day I bought it. I traded that in and then I purchased my next car which was an Audi A5 black edition plus and my third was an Audi A3 black edition. I’ve been purchasing vehicles from here for over 5 years these guys are Brilliant! 5 stars from me!!

AVOID Buying a car from SW Supermarket
The salesperson who was also the business manager wasn’t too pushy with the initial sale, but when I queried about the service history it become apparent it required one, and also a brake fluid service as it hadn’t had anything done in over almost 2 years. I asked if this could be done as part of the purchase and was told no, it would be an extra £274. Quick phone call to my VW/Audi specialist (around the corner from the superstore) who gave me a quote for £159 using genuine vw parts. So I told him I’ll get the service sorted out myself and was met with the following words “You’re making a big mistake”, and also said “if you get the work done elsewhere they might say x,y,z will need to be replaced and once someone else touches the car if anything happens to it you can’t bring it back to us.” What a load of utter bs coming from the business manager or anyone sales person, simple scare tactics in play.
Come collection day I arrived a few mins early and went inside to let them know I was here to collect my car, and was told they will let the collection team know and someone will be out shortly. After waiting 15 mins outside in the cold, a young women named Shauna (found her name out later) walked past without even introducing herself or even making herself known that she’ll be dealing with the handover just said let’s go find the car after walking about 5 meters from us. Car clearly didn’t have a ‘smart retail valet’ or even washed on the same day when I questioned this she replied very rudely “ohh yes it has and this is just dust from sitting outside this morning”. Sorry but dust doesn’t happen within a few hours of washing a car on a dry day. It had clearly been sat outside in the rain from earlier on in the week. So gave the car a thorough look and given the age and mileage and considering it was a used car it did have some scratches, a few chips and the bumper load lip did have some slight cracking on it (presumably someone’s had reversed into it at low speed), but the interior was in very good condition and the car condition was “acceptable”. However there was only 1 key and when I questioned where’s the other one, I was given another rude reply by the young lady at which I point I refused to deal with her and went to go get someone else to deal with the handover. Out come Rachel & Saleem (collections manager and sales manager I believe) who where both miles better and the type of people who you would want to deal with during a handover, they apologised for this and said they’ll have a look into what can be done with a second set of keys. The day after collection I got back price back Saleem with a retail price of £280 for a key via SW but they can do it for a “trade price of £247”, got into contact with VW directly (around the corner) the same day as I collected the car who said the price would be £257, so they are clearly inflating their retail price for no reason and the £10 difference wasn’t enough of a saving to get the key through SW, so went directly to Volkswagen for another key.
Overall the car price was low for a reason, only 1 key, needed a service + inspection (service light was on), fuel was on reserve, washer fluid wasn’t even topped up, brake pads where visibly low all round, miss matched tyres (2 bridgestones on the back, Michelin and some random brand on the front) but they had enough tread on them but sidewalls did show signs of cracks/age, tyre pressures (cold) where between 28 and 30 psi on all corners (should be 36) their defence was my equipment and measuring techniques are wrong, (bs again), faults stored on the car from a VCDS OBD scan so the “114 pre delivery inspection” was clearly not done properly even done at all, as for mot I don’t trust this car has zero advisories even though the previous mot said it had light misting of oil on the shocks so will see what the inspection with my service says. Put this all into perspective and the total price goes up by about £1000 which makes it equivalent to other cars on the market. Some of the staff either need to be put on permanent furlough for horrible customer service, or some serious customer service re-training.
Moral of the story, avoid SW car supermarket if you can.

Unacceptable dishonesty - DANGEROUS FRAUDULENT
Unacceptable dishonesty - NEVER trust this dealership. In a single week this dealer has listed several cars that have been previously written off in serious accidents and failed in all cases to declare this. Instead of admitting the issue they claimed that the photos of the smashed up cars were photoshopped (despite listed online by salvage companies).
Absolutely the wrong thing to do - completely ignore the facts and continue to sell cars dishonestly and fraudulently vs admitting the issues and taking steps to resolve them (like any reputable company would do). Unfortunately this is a dirty stain on the motor industry and one can only hope they learn and act fast or cease their dangerous activities.
You should be ashamed, thankfully we all know now! Even the local papers have picked up on it so hopefully no one else puts their lives at risk with dodgy written off cars.
P.S. you can delete, block people etc on facebook from commenting and highlighting these issues but thankfully more robust review sites such this are safe from your censoring!
It is a public duty to rid ourselves from cowboy Bussiness!
