Contagious customers
I was very disappointed by my experience with Sydthy Kurbad’s customer service and illness policy
I became sick with the flu before my appointment and called ahead because I did not want to risk exposing other guests. I simply asked to move the booking to another date — not for a refund. However, I was told this would only be possible if I had purchased their cancellation insurance.
In practice, this policy creates a situation where sick customers feel pressured to attend anyway in order not to lose their prepayment. That is deeply irresponsible for a wellness business where guests expect a safe and relaxing environment.
The staff came across as rigid and unsympathetic, with no flexibility even in a situation involving contagious illness and consideration for other guests.
If you visit Sydthy Kurbad, be aware that there appears to be little incentive for ill customers to stay home unless they are willing to forfeit their payment entirely.
