This is at the springer new mexico location I have worked at that truck long before TA took over and since TA has taken over it has become the most dreadful and unfortunately the only place to work in our small town..... there Is so much wrong with the restaurant part but as a cook let me explain that our hood vents do not work they didn't work when the building was inspected almost 3 years ago and to this day they do not work we are dying of heat stroke in that kitchen myself as well as other employees have had serious health problems due to the heat we have experienced major headaches dizziness burning eyes and overall heat exhaustion..... how dare you people expect us to work in these conditions what's it going to take for you to get the hood vents working as well as our air conditioner fixed before one of us has a heat stroke are we seriously paid enough to work like this.... I don't think so...... this is completely horrific for you to make us stay open and require us to work like this I hope your ready for a law suit because the minute one of us ends up I'm the hospital because of the heat were will take legal action immediately and this is as of 5/23/2026

True sellouts

Every petro used to be my favorite place to stop and enjoy a great meal. Always good buffet. Since selling out the food is horrible. No buffetts anymore. One page menu. Truckstops are nothing like they used to be. Money grabbers now.

Stay far away from this theft ring dump

Well, we paid for parking. I then had my generator stolen in broad daylight. Then they said none of the security cameras working, not one of them anywhere. Then the manager decided to throw me off a lot. Because I was trying to get a police report with the store number and was having a hard time just extracting that simple information. That's when I realized that the lot boy the trash boy there. Has a bunch of friends that come around and steal for him. He gives the all clear They take whatever they can and from there one can fill the blanks in I'm sure. This place is evil, lots of prostitutes allowed to walk the lot and condoms on the ground. Showers, disgusting management's never present. And I think it's some sort of front for something else. That's doing very well. At least good enough to carry thus complete dump..Shame on you TA travel centers ..yall suck

Awesome customer service

I could go anywhere to get what I need, but what keeps me coming back is the great customer service I receive from staff like Robin. She is fast, friendly, and always greets me with a smile.

Aurora Oregon TA

Aurora Oregon TA
Worst ever. This was a good truckstop with a restaurant that had good food. Now it has Popeyes with grease food, poor service and discourteous workers. Nothing in the hot cases because it has no restaurant nor workers to run what's left of the kitchen. Coffee is always empty and when notified, the counter people don't really care.
Been using TAs for 35 years. They have really gone down hill.

Aging at a TA.

I sit in a TA center in Richmond, technically Ashland Virginia writing this review at 12:46 a.m. I made a call from my hotel at 11:11 yesterday morning to find out that my truck was next in line to fix what would turn out to be 2 faulty brake chambers. I showed up at 12:29 pm only to find out later that my truck wouldn't get in the shop until past 7pm. Altogether there were 4 employees that gave me 6 time estimates of when my truck would be finished. All of their time estimates were repeatedly far off the mark. Every one. I understand when it's a half hour up to 2 hours late or so. I write this after over 12 hours and counting and still sitting here wondering when they will be finished. They had the parts in stock. I've had lots of good service from multiple TAs in Wisconsin and elsewhere and would recommend TA overall but avoid this one at all costs. There is another TA in Asland just over 3 miles away on One Carter Road. Use that one. Avoid this one, the Richmond/Ashland TA at all costs I could have been in a hotel sleeping hours ago yet here I sit at 1:05 am, more than 11 hours after my repair could have been finished around 2pm or so.One other trucker here told me about an unsavory experience with a service person who displayed a caustic, blunt, and unprofessional manner. Never in my 65 years have I experienced such, dismal, slow service whether it was with my own personal car or in my work truck. You get the picture. Everything I've mentioned is true and accurate. Stay safe my fellow drivers.

If something breaks at the Gary Indiana…

If something breaks at the Gary Indiana Petro, it stays broken. Go to wash your hands (ladies facilities) try to find a sink that the faucet is operational. Transflo.... forget it. They're aware that it is not working, but does it get taken care of??? NOPE. Abandoned vehicles in the truck lot.... security has passed them every night for over 6 months still sitting here. Such a shame. Once upon a time, the executives used to give a 💩 about how the public viewed their business. Guess they're too busy schmoozing the shareholders backsides to care about public perception. Years before the merger, T/A and Petro would try to annihilate each other in competition, fighting to be the top dog, now they're bottom of the barrel. Times sure have changed. Sad.

I have worked at the battle creek…

I have worked at the battle creek michigan TA for 6 years started of as an outside porter and worked my way up to FMT facility maintenance tech, was im charge of the department but was never given the ability to do the job. I wasn't allowed to put in service requests I wasn't allowed to make any decisions. I was not given control of the maintenance budget or even told.what was available each month. Its become like game of thrones. Everyone wants total power and when a new site manager comes in (king or queen) guaranteed heads will roll no mater what or how good of an employee you are. Its all about who butt you kiss. Can't trust anyone your most trusted associate will put a.knife in your back. Your throat will be cut unexpectedly and for no good reason. Didn't have a problem for the first 4 years under one site manager and.store.mananger but they decided to bring in someone from another location restaurant to run the store and the restaurant manager was given the site manager position. These to allied themselves and systematically eliminated almost everyone from ,thier exact words "the old regime" I was told my job responsibilities were to change and the porters were to.do.most the work I had been doing. When I tried to tell them it's not likely to work they said they'd make it work. We'll they didn't they hired a.bunch of new people that wouldn't do any work and caused all kinds of problems. They focused on things that were unimportant and had nothing to do with improving service or raising sales. Fixing up areas of the building that were usless and unaccessible to customers. My job was eventually taken from me.and given to a person with zero qualifications after I had proven my worth and dealt with many of major problems working well beyond what was required of me. And they gave me.a new position doing all the jobs that they told me weren't my job anymore but failed to.follow through with making the other employees that they said would be required to do the work do it. They wouldn't allow me to train employees about using the equipment claiming I cost them to much money for Me.to waste my time.training people. So employees were trained by others with no experience and had multiple incidents happen due to that. I was targeted by management to be fired and written up over lies multiple times. They didn't Want.to fire.me.and.allow me to collect unemployment so they overburdened me with as much as possible trying to get me.to quit. The store manager they brought in couldnt handle the job and transfered to running the shop, another place they had no experience with. They wanted everyone to belive what they wanted was what corporate wanted, but some.of the things I knew well the people at corporate were smarter than what we were told like powerwashing in the winter. That would destroy equipment and cause lots of potential accidents. Let alone it's winter, water freezes. Just bad focus from the managers, more worried about thier absolute power than the good of the business or safety of anyone. Ive been pushed out and isolated from the other employees, everything I do to complete a job is met with new rules that change constantly. Im badicly not.allowed to use any equipment that I had been for years and barely even allowed to enter a building but in a time of crisis they come.to.me and want me.to.fix it because the person they gave my job to has no clue what to do. I educated myself on multiple different subjects for this job at my expense and on my time, I built equipment that we needed and didn't have so.i could get jobs done. And ive been treated like a dog and left outside with no interaction from all of the rest made to do all the dirty work.no one else wants to do. And they get off on trying to make me.feel like less of a person. You work hard you get demoted you do.as.little as.possible and.kiss the right butt telling om.everyone.for.doing the same.things you.do and you get promoted. Totaly am ass.backwards.place.

Amazon Parking

I have been dealing with these truck stops for nearly 30 years. As of today 04/02/24, this company has signs at nearly most, if not all of the truck stops saying "No Dropped Trailer" "Dropped Trailer Will Be Towed". Yet, they allow Amazon to drop multiple trailers and allow for truck parking of the bobtail tractors like it's a terminal for Amazon. This is a double standard and definitely an insult to the road drivers who live on the road and have limited access to parking especially in highly congested areas of the bigger cities. It's a disgrace to the industry. TA/Petro should be ashamed of their business decisions on this situation. I know it's about the money and greed of the company. The only time a trailer should be allowed to be dropped is during maintenance at that time or "maybe" for a couple of hours for the driver to get supplies or go to a store (then the driver should be required to check trailer, truck, and information with the fuel desk).

I did a previous annual inspection at a kenworth dealership in dodge city Kansas that past inspection. However company I'm leased to only except inspections from ta loves and pilots. After ta inspector inspect the truck he asked me who owns this truck? me or the company? I did not like the question so I did not answer at first because I felt it was irrelevant and I already felt like I know why he asked me the question.. but since I try hard not to tell a lie I told him second time that it was mine... he immediately says afterwards that it failed initially for a light that he says needed to be illuminated but it does not..it's the turn signal light in the bulb on a 2020 kw t680. I asked him why did he ask me who owned the truck before he failed it..his reply was he " just wanted to know" when I ask but why was that important to know before you failed the truck? He then went on to go on a list all of a sudden 3 other things and said we can do the work on Monday.. I'm beyond disappointed like many other drivers and tired of getting robbed by flacky mechanics, d.o.t officers and companies..something has to change! Petro in Racine Wi.
