Ethan made my first house purchase really easy. He answered all my questions and made the whole process clear and smooth.

I was not communicated well with throughout the process of buying my flat. I received multiple emails from different people, sometimes 3 people asking me to confirm the same thing. 2 of them where trainees asking me the same question and then leaving me confused as to what stage I was at or even if they had received my documents. The amount of money I paid out was ridiculous considering the lack of service I received. I understand people need to learn but going through an already stressful process there should be someone overseeing and ensuring questions are being answered. I did have someone responsive called Omayar who did call me back and explained things the best he could. But overall the service received was subpar.

We completed last Friday on a property in the Midlands.
We dealt with Jazmine DW and Millicent M. We know they must have had tonnes on but always managed to be respond to even the littlest question and gave us exact timelines to expect so it was lovely it all went to plan. We will definitely use Talbots again are it was a good experience compared to the experience of others.

Tori and her team were excellent in getting our property purchase over the line in such a short time frame. Her team were always available to talk and assist with queries and were quick to respond to any emails or questions we had. As first-time buyers, the process was naturally quite daunting at times, and our transaction wasn't without its challenges. There were a number of complex enquiries, an indemnity policy issue, and several delays outside of Talbots' control. Throughout the entire process, however, the team remained professional, thorough and responsive.

A special thank you to Amy Marsh, Jemit Jethmalani and Jade Kang who were outstanding. They consistently kept us updated, explained matters clearly, and ensured that no stone was left unturned. Whilst there were occasions where we were eager to move faster, looking back I am grateful for the diligence shown, as it gave us confidence that everything was being properly investigated and that our interests were being protected.

Second time we have used Talbots to buy a house. The first time was for my Son’s house and I had to guided him through the process. All went smoothly. This time it was for our move. Excellent process both times. The app where you Onboard was perfect. I instructed Talbots Law Kidderminster at the beginning of June 2025 to act relating to a sale and purchase.

I paid £600 upfront.

This was a relatively straightforward case… No Chain!
I was selling to a cash buyer and I was purchasing cash.
The matter took so long, (many months) that by Autumn my buyers pulled out of the purchase, despite them paying for surveys and being extremely motivated at the start.
I am now being hounded by Talbots Law to pay abortive fees of just under £2000.
I have sent in a formal complaint, setting out my dissatisfaction with the service and I’m awaiting a response, which will depend on whether I escalate it to the Legal Ombudsman.
Despite this, I’ve just received yet another threatening email from their accounts department, threatening to add interest to the payment if I don’t settle now.
I can only advise to look elsewhere for a good Conveyancing Solicitor.
I’ve been researching online and there are much better out there who do not adopt this unethical practice!
