It was so refreshing to receive a reminder in the post that my contract needed renewing & to actually dial the number given & get through to a real person. Well done Talk Talk. UPDATE I am now real... See more

Contacted Talk talk spoke to a very polite gentleman (Asanda) who helped with our issue of the remote control. He was very professional taken down the issue and sent a new box and remote within 24hr. Thank you for an excellent service.

My contract was coming to an end and after reading that TalkTalk was in financial difficulties I decided to leave. After signing up to a new company I received a call from TalkTalk's loyalty team offering me a new 24 month contract which was a free upgade to a faster connection and 9 months free broadband and phone.A credit was meant to added to my account to cover the 9 months free. I thought it was a strange way to do it but I agreed to it.On receiving my new contract there was no mention of my 9 months free and then looking at my account it had only been credited with enough to cover 5 months .TalkTalk would not honour the agreement as It was impossible to prove what the agreement was. If anyone else decides to leave and gets a call from their loyalty team offering unbelievably good deals dont agree to anything until you see it in writing.

I have been a talktalk customer for many years. They offer me what I need to keep connected at a price that I am happy with so why change

Absolutely appalling service when switching to full fibre broadband. 1 hour 22 minutes on the phone to its customer services team in South Africa produced no response, contacting here-to-help achieved nothing, neither did emails to the head of customer services and the CEO. Just no response - clealy customer policy.

If I could give them one star I would. I have been a talktalk customer for years and on Wednesday I moved over to their new fast fibre broadband. It hasn't worked since. The staff are so uninterested when you finally contact them. I've had colleagues refuse to speak to me on the phone. Over 9 hours on the phone and live chat in two days and I am still no further forward. I was promised a call back 4 times and not once did anyone ring me. They have closed my case 3 times and lied to me about escalating the problem.
When I finally spoke to someone in the complaints team today he spoke over me and said I need to wait 3-5 working days for it to be fixed. Absolutely disgusting way to treat customers. If you're thinking about joining Talktalk I strongly suggest you don't, save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere.

Absolutely terrible experience with TalkTalk.
I woke up this morning to find that I had no internet connection. I then noticed an email from yesterday saying that, apparently, I had left TalkTalk. This is completely untrue. I never requested to leave TalkTalk, never signed anything, and never agreed to terminate my service.
I am working from home today and have been left without an internet connection because of this.
I contacted TalkTalk, and I was told that they had apparently merged with Kraken and that I needed to speak to Kraken. I then contacted Kraken, only to be told that they couldn't resolve the issue and that someone would call me back within two hours.
I'm still waiting for that call.
The whole situation has been extremely frustrating. I should not have to spend my working day chasing two different companies to find out why my internet has been disconnected when I never asked for my service to be cancelled in the first place.
Very disappointing customer service and absolutely no sense of urgency, despite the fact that this has directly affected my ability to work.
I hope someone takes responsibility for this and resolves the issue urgently.

The worst customer experience, awful broadband and landline and an absolute NIGHTMARE to be involved with. Switched over to a new provider, cancellation was confirmed via email by Talktalk. I also received 7 calls from them in the space of a week with them trying to keep me from switching and eventually confirmed on the call AND email that we are switching and cancelling the account only to be billed 6 weeks later. Had to call Talktalk again and was passed from pillar to post. Ended up spending to 5 people on one call as they kept switching agents. They deny it being cancelled and say my email that THEY sent is not enough to prove it was cancelled… I am not escalating this further. I’d rather go with no broadband than with TalkTalk

Yeah, finally said goodbye for ever and switched. They continue to send emails apologising for leaving but sadly for them they didn't communicate for upping the fees and taking out a ridiculous amount of money out my account for a disgusting very poor download speed. Spoke with them (funny when you request to leave how quickly you get through to a real person) and offered all sorts of deals. On the phone one person was rudely talking over me.They call it Talktalk for a reason! Good riddance.

Terrible customer service & resolving complaints.
They continue to send me final demand bills even though my contract was cancelled due to their negligence when installing fibre and damaging my property. When I call they say the bill is cancelled but each month they continue to send me final demand bills!
Incompetence!

Robotic call centre staff who keep you on the phone for hours. Very poor service - I’m changing my broadband provider and would definitely NOT recommend Talk Tslk

Responded quickly and efficiently following my 1 star review!
Problem has been successfully fixed so I've changed my star rating to 4.
Just wish their systems were more stable as had this problem before.
Beyond abysmal!
Their webmail collapses regularly these days!
Even their My Account locks you out and fails to respond to correct data!
The whole board of directors aren't even worth the minimum wage!
The shareholders should close the business down or sell it to Thames Water!

Been waiting for weeks for a New tv box remote and router they told me 3-5 working days its been well over 5 days now i call them and get the same response every time we are sorry we dont know the most unhelpful and useless frustrating service i have ever known in my life..
I was going to change providers because talktalk are that bloody bad
But EE wanted to charge me over £100 a month for full fiber 500
And then talktalk tell me that if i go back to them they will give me 6 months free wifi for the inconvience i had with them and that its only £28.50 for fiber 500 per month including tv and landline but wont have to pay nothing for the first 6 months..
But its just nonsense because they perswade you to go back and you end up getting nothing at all not even the equitment delivered and when you call to ask where it is and whats going on its just we dont know...
This has been going on for months...

See my previous 9(!) reviews to get a sense of my painful 'journey' with TalkTalk over 6 months. I had previously experienced gaslighting, but I just confirmed more today. According to Ofcom's code of practice for automatic compensation, customers are to receive automatic compensation of £6.46 for each day of delay of a start of a new service (subject to limits, caveats, etc.). I pointed this out to the CEO agent, but she claimed that this was not applicable in my case since it was an upgrade. But the code of practice clearly states that: 'This includes (but is not limited to) a delay in activation to a service upgrade.' So what she told me was incorrect. But given everything else that has happened, I am not surprised. And it explains why they tried to get me to leave TalkTalk a few weeks ago (TalkTalk would then be off the hook for this compensation). So if any TalkTalk customer is experiencing a delay in start of service, make sure you claim compensation (it is supposed to be automatic, but it appears TalkTalk ignores this).
Update: TalkTalk has, yet again, mindlessly referred me to their frustrating, useless chatbot. I would like TalkTalk to tell me exactly what the chatbot could accomplish that the agent in the CEO's office cannot.

When it works it is OK, but pray you never need to contact them. You call the number it loops around a bit then tells you they are very busy and there might be a wait. You say OK and it tells you you would be better texting. You say you will wait and it says no the only option is texting. You text and after a few messages it tells you to "get help straight away" on a link to their web CS. Guess what the web CS is, it's a AI Bot, which is not instant help but near endless additional frustration. If your reason for contacting them is remotely complex then be prepared to loop around in circles as the options do not cover what you need and it will do anything in it's power to ask you to pick from the same wrong options again in the hope of feeding you data it has access to or linking to a help page. Anything other than pay a human to deal with a customer. In my case because the discount I agreed for my 24 month contract needs to be manually renewed after 12 months (for reasons beyond my comprehension) I spent a good while looping. Top tip, lose your temper and swear at the chat bot for it to eventually release you to the heady heights of real customer service. Still found time to stick a security check in first though. Obviously the first team connected too wasn't the right one, AI had only asked me about 20 questions already, none of them apparently any use for sorting calls. After a final transfer the person was able to answer my questions but not actually do what I got in touch for. I could not renew the discount as I have got in touch a couple of days BEFORE it expires, I need to get back in touch the day AFTER it expires which is now my Saturday getting wound up with all this again. I only get half the speed paid for but gave up trying to resolve that as the loops like this are endless and go nowhere. Very tiring to deal with any time you need to do so.
Worst broadband provider. I had no Internet for weeks and you can't ever speak to a opeator. The customer service is terrible. Definitely wouldn't recommend. Very disappointing I ended up cancelling my contract

DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS COMPANY!!! Complaint been ongoing for nearly 1 years after first complaint was resolved by offering me best package for lowest priced package price. Absolutely atrocious treatment of disabled consumer/customer! Speeds are slow and wifi cuts off for hours. This company is the worst ever ive experienced. Check the reviews speaks for themselves. CASE MANAGERS DONT CALL BACK AFTER ARRANGED THIS OVER 40 TIMES.

Been with TalkTalk for ages. Always helpful, very cost effective, recently sent me an updated router. So simple to set up, using the setup guide included with the router. Easy to return the old one for recycling using bag and preprinted adhesive label. Recommended.

Awful company - even after my elderly mother authorized her new provider to cancel the service on her behalf they kept ringing her landline to convince her to stay. I called them and said they needed to stop as she already authorized her new provider to cancel on her behalf and they still insisted on speaking to her. Shocking behavior, vile company, disgusting customer experience.
