Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 163 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Consumers frequently complained about extremely slow menus, laggy interfaces, and unresponsive remote controls that made daily navigation very frustrating. People also experienced severe hardware failures, such as unexpected screen breakdowns, audio problems, and poor durability over time. Additionally, buyers struggled with unhelpful customer service and extremely complicated warranty processes when seeking device repairs. However, some customers also noted that the picture quality is actually very good once properly adjusted. A few other people also felt that the screens are crystal clear and liked the overall display output.

Never agt

I bought a TV just over a year ago and I noticed a black dot on the screen, the TV was still under warranty,I did contact them and they sent me an engineer who sait it could be a fly or bug or anything but confirmed to me that it was there since day one and I just didn't notice it but they refused to repair it because the warranty doesn't cover those things,I know if I want to take it to the ombudsman I will win but I don't have time for that,
NEVER TCL AGAIN

Do not buy a TCL TV period

Do not buy a TCL TV period. They are horrible. I like to watch sports and I get to see multipole balls flying through the air. Numbers on jerseys are blurry and the grass changes shades of green making it look like a crawling creature. Their warranty is terrible. Worst of all, forget about their customer support. I have been dealing with them for 3 months. A week after I sent a message in I was told the TV was under warranty. I have been doing troubleshooting and talking to customer service for the past 3 months. I still have the same crappy TV on my wall. The last communication told me they could not duplicate the issue in the lab so I must be wrong. DO NOT BUY TCL TV'S!!!!

Purchased a TCL Smart TV

I purchased a TCL Smart TV. The remote was defective. I contacted TCL customer service and spent over an hour going through troubleshooting procedures to no avail. They agreed to send me a new remote. When the remote arrived, it was the wrong one. I returned the wrong one and have been trying for a month to get the correct one, unsuccessfully. These people are useless. Like almost all the other reviewers, TCL customer service is absolutely the worst customer service...PERIOD!! In my humble opinion these are nothing more than aclowns that are there to give nothing more than " token lip service" and screw the customer!! Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time or money on any TCL product. You will regret it!!!

Rubbish tv

Had this TLC 75in TV now for just over a year, what a pain.... There are times it's ok, then either sound goes off, or it changes out of TV mode of it's own accord , some times netflix, some times blank screen, then won't switch off so I can restart, have to switch off at plug, at the time of writing this it's in blank mode, not switching off
Then have to wait till TLC comes on screen... Then it resets its self,
If I lived in a tower block, top floor it would be thrown out by now
Do not buy

TCL 32S5K FHD QLED suffers from very slow menu navigation

We purchased the TCL 32S5K FHD QLED, confident it would deliver solid value given the advertised features. The TV was connected via cable 400Mdit/s fiber optic internet plan. Unfortunately, we had to return it due to what appeared to be insufficient memory. Navigation was painfully slow, the device came heavily preloaded with apps that dragged performance down to almost absurd levels. Even simple actions, like displaying the volume bar, took several seconds, while switching between or closing apps such as Prime Video was nearly impossible, requiring an excessive amount of time to respond, and the sound quality is awful, it’s like listening to an old single‑speaker radio.

I have both phones and 8o5k TVs

I have both phones and 8o5k TVs
I haven't had anything to moan about ,I work with visual audio company who sell top end Sony's and lg which are crazy money for mear mortals .
You need to sort out some picture settings takes about 10 minutes .
I tried my TV against lg panel and for the 1800 price difference I couldn't tell if anything the tcl was better felt smoother. I also bought the tcl wireles speaker set up it's a game changer could do with a sub add on but im Sure it will come . I also have the pro phone battery last well better than my old Samsung's camera is good and it's pretty smooth and adorable.

Good picture quality, poor everything else.

To be honest, the picture quality is very good. And this is pretty much all there is on the positive side of things. It would have been nice if TCL added a bit more processing power to the TV than an old Nokia 3310. Everything takes ages, ages to start, app keeps freezing, when you pair speakers, the image freezes, you have to restart TV a few times a day... It becomes so annoying that I am selling mine. And to finish, if your TV is wall mounted you will have to take it off the wall each and every time you need to plug or unplug a cable. I deeply regret going for a TCL.

Bad customer service

purchased the TCL TV, model : 4K miniQLEDtv65C6KS 65, on 09/07/2025 from LULUCONNECT KOCHI
Incident details:
On 3th october 2025 at around 9 am approximately Time of while watching news channelon the television panel suddenly detached from the casing and separated from the frame and fell, resulting in damage to the screen, complete breakage, a cracked panel
The TV was wall-mounted, in a stable, undisturbed location. The wall-mounted was fixed by an authorized installer by company technician .
There was no external physical impact or misuse that caused this to happen. The TV was simply in regular use when the failure occurred
The premature and unexpected failure of the TV's panel, within the duration of three months within warranty, indicates a serious manufacturing defect and a failure I have attached a copy of my purchase invoice and photographs damaged TV to support this complaint.
I have attempted to resolve this issue by attempts, calling coustomer call ON 8/10/2025,9/10/2025

No more TCL

This my 2nd TV from TCL. My first TCL tv lasted about 5 years. This one lasted exactly two months our of warranty. After I complained, they decided to offer me a new replacement tv but of an older model with a discounted price. But I explained that I would like the latest model with a bigger screen, and am willing to pay the difference. Their response was to offer a like-for-like model, on an older model. So much for brand loyalty. I have decided to switch to another brand instead.

TCL 50" Roku TV

TCL 50" Roku TV, was damaged when I removed it from the box and had no picture. TCL refused to replace or repair. Their warranty both the basic and extended is a joke and they will not honor either one. Choose a different manufacturer for your electronics purchases.

Rubbish

Rubbish. Bought a 32" for kitchen to replace a Samsung 32".
Picture quality was worse than the Samsung it replaced.
The sound quality was absolutely awful.
My phone had better.
Bought a sound bar to improve it but no hdmi output port for soundbar. Can only connect through Bluetooth so terrible lip sync.
Only had 3mths and its going in the bin to be replaced with a decent LG.

Fault with tv after four months and can’t be repaired

Bought a 40 inch TCL tv with freely. Only had it for a short time and couldn’t watch all the channels and had to keep resetting back to factory settings. Spoke to freely twice and they said there must be an issue with the tv. TCL are hard to contact and a third party came and took the tv away for repair. Apparently they can’t fix it and we are still without a tv while the retailer, the third party and TCL decide what needs to happen. The best thing for these tvs is a sledge hammer. Wouldn’t have another one and would rather pay more money but at the time that was the only 40 inch we could find with freely. Avoid this make.

Bought a TCL 43 Inch 43C645K Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR QLED Android TV from Argos. Very disappointed in the tv. Very slow to complete actions from remote. Difficult to locate channels. Switches on when it's been turned off. I wouldn't recommend this TV at all.
