After working for Teaching Personnel for years quite some time ago, this is how they've treated my recent application.
Apparently, they don't even have a record of the work I did for them.
Maybe they're now ageist as well as unprofessional.
They used to be a reputable organisation. No longer.

I was assigned Millie to complete my registration and she has been amazing! After a negative experience with a previous agency, Millie was excellent with communicating, super friendly and went above and beyond d to ensure you got what you set out to do.

I have worked for Teaching Personnel for nearly three years and have always had constant work. Ellie and Steve have been fantastic finding me suitable placements and have always been supportive and helpful, communication has always been clear and prompt. The TP app is brilliant and makes getting paid extremely easy. Fantastic agency to sign up to.

I’ve been with this company for quite a long time, but I’ve now decided to leave due to my overall experience. When I first signed up, I made it clear what type of work I was looking for, yet I was hardly offered any opportunities that matched this. I was only given one shift, and it was completely different from what I originally signed up for.

I was also put forward for interviews that felt very unprofessional and ended up being a waste of my time. There seemed to be very little communication or understanding of my preferences throughout.

Overall, my experience has been frustrating and disappointing, and I would not recommend this company.

I signed up for Teaching personnel earlier this year wanting to change careers, i got assigned to Emerson who went above and beyond my expectations. Gave me solid advice and always supported my way forward in the industry despite not having any experience in it. I'm lucky to have such a hard working agent! 5 stars

I had an incredibly poor experience with the Teaching Personnel Birmingham branch. I paid £49.50 for an Enhanced DBS check on March 2nd, but for over two weeks, I was met with nothing but unprofessional excuses.
First, I was told the delay was due to a "BROKEN PRINTER" then "family circumstances," and "miscommunication." Despite being told my documents were "uploaded," I contacted DBS Customer Service directly and discovered that no application had ever been submitted under my details!
To make matters worse, their compliance team demonstrated a shocking lack of knowledge by questioning my VALID Passport and REFUSING to ACCEPT a STANDARD NATWEST BANK STATEMENT(!) (a document universally accepted for DBS checks in the UK)!

I have since received a full refund after lodging a formal complaint, but the stress and loss of potential work earnings were significant. I have now formally requested the deletion of all my personal data and ID documents under GDPR, as I simply cannot trust this agency with my sensitive information. If you value your time and data security, look elsewhere.

Emily is consistently helpful, friendly, and always available when support is needed. Every interaction we’ve had has been positive, and she continually goes above and beyond in everything she does. Keep up the amazing work, Emily — thank you for all that you do!

Teaching Personnel has been amazing. They managed to find me a school that fitted all of my requirements and just made the whole process feel incredibly easy. Harry Ford (Brighton SEN department) is just lovely to talk you and incredibly helpful with any concerns you may have or queries. I would recommend to anyone :)

I would give zero stars if it were an option. I paid for police checks upfront, after which the application process began, but I found myself constantly chasing the team for updates. I only received responses when I emailed, often with vague confirmations like “oh yes, this person has replied,” showing a lack of proactive communication. My experience was limited to dealing with Hayley, so perhaps this is not reflective of the whole company, but from my perspective, it was frustrating, time-consuming, and costly not just for me, but also for my referees.

My experience with the teaching personnel was great everyone was really friendly, Parys helped me secure a placement right after my interview and made me feel confident about the new role.

Really rude and poor communication and cancel your shifts last minute when you rely on those shifts to pay your bills. They also say to you that you have to communicate to them for your shifts when they should be helping you getting into work. They haven’t just done this to me they have also done this to other members of staff that have been loyal for many years . And say it’s because they “can’t afford it” when the schools are paying them. They have missed my pay checks plenty of times because they can’t afford to pay me! Never ever experienced this in my past jobs.Don’t recommend this job if you want something “reliable” they drop u like there’s no tomorrow but when they need you they expect you to drop everything. And allow you to have holiday and last minute say you can’t take holiday because they have no staff. This is unacceptable!

Teaching personnel have made me feel very welcome on my journey to working as a teaching assistant in multiple schools. They are always a call away and happy to help not to mention very understanding. Millie Crocker from the Cardiff office has been a great role model and help throughout my journey so far 😊
