The race team are first class and the cars and track in great condition,
However there are 2 huge problems to seriously need to address fast.

1. Way to many on track and having experienced riders on with novices is holding back progress and clearly dangerous.

2. The coffee shop is lovely location, but the food is so slow sometimes you’ve finished your day before it arrives and the quality is microwaved sub standard.

Thes two points down to corporate greed and very understaffed, it’s not rocket science

Yellow and red flags ruin it

I love karting, but this is experience is rubbish. Went to the Charlton one (Docklands) and I didn't have a single lap that wasn't yellow flagged or worse, red flagged - it was so crap. The karts are also automated to stop/slow down, and it feels awful - no fun at all.

Too much time spent either stopped or walking speed!

My daughter and I have been karting many times. We booked teamsport Sheffield as it was the only place open on a Tuesday afternoon. It's the second time we've been here and it will be the last! As other people have said you spend so much time under red or yellow flags, you hardly get any race time. Our 3rd fifteen minute session I got 3 fast laps. I was black flagged and pulled into pits for missing a red flag, as soon as I saw it I stopped. I was told to leave the pits while the track was still red. I didn't know it was still red for 2 or 3 corners when I got yelled at again for not stopping at a red. Don't waste your money. There are many circuits around where 15 minutes of racing is very near 15 minutes of racing, not a Sunday drive. I understand safety is paramount but if you spend a lot of time under red or yellow flags you should be compensated in some way.

Shambles

Brent Cross branch was absolutely shambolic. session times were hours late, got our go karts changed 3 times before completing a lap. Staff are very rude, apart from a young girl at the front desk, an older gentleman and another young guy who thankfully credited us our money back. As for the manager, who didn't even bother turning up to discuss the issue with us, which just sums up the state of that place. Racing was bang average and had a yellow and red flag every 2 minutes. All round a terrible experience bar the staff at the front. Disappointing from team sport, who are usually exceptional in their N.London Branches. Certainly won't be coming back anytime soon, if it even stays open that long!

TeamSport Leicester …

I took my son to TeamSport karting in Leicester today, after the safety briefing we went out on the track. I had booked two 15 minute sessions for £100, the venue was OK but the problem is they put 16 carts on the small circuit which was far to many in my opinion, a few people obviously had no idea how to drive a go cart and were either crashing or breaking the venue rules as a result many laps were under the yellow flag or completely stopped under a red flag. Only a few laps were completed at full race speed.
I think the company needs to review the amount of carts on the track at one time and the ability of the people who get in the carts as it can ruin the experience for others like my self and my son.

Stockton- serious accident likely

At Stockton, Marshalls scroll on their phones rather than Marshall. Numerous examples of bad driving and not one black flag during the race. We left early after 1 race as it was too dangerous. When I raised my worries about the lack of marshalling I was told by the Marshall to 'f*** off'. I wish this was a joke. Formal complaint has been made as there's going to be a serious accident here under this marshalls watch. We are very fortunate to have a decent home track at Hull were marshalls are respectful, kind and keep the track safe. The same cannot be said for Stockton.

Karting at Crawley

My thirteen year old son enjoyed his first time at the track in an adult cart after coming several times previously as a junior. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Safety was well managed. My only criticism was the food and drink offered in the bar was overpriced and the tables were not cleaned with dirty paper cups etc left on the tables. We chose not to eat there.
However it was an enjoyable afternoon.

Unbeliveble

This place is great for familys and friends you can go bowling or just drive go karts for a good price and its kid friendly. They have strong rules
that makes sense they also have a bar and arcade so you can stay entertained at all times. The staff is nice and will help you. The place is incredebly clean.

Staff do not care about conduct between drivers

I really wanted to give this experience more than a couple stars, but it was the way the staff handled sudden bad situations which ultimately ruined it for me.

The first round was great for myself and my party; 15 minutes of fun, not too many amber lights contrary to some of the other comments here. I would say it is the cohort that can really ruin one’s experience. A couple of lads, decked out in their own customised gear, were clearly much more experienced than the rest of us. When it came round to the second time we could race, they were going far too quickly, even during amber lights, smashing into the back of people continuously. For myself, I was a first time racer, but I got into it after a lap or two. It made sense, at least to me, to slightly apply breaks around the corners or lay off the accelerator. These lads again did not do this, smashed into the back of me, one of them went circling out of control, eventually facing me with a lovely double middle finger.

I didn’t react at all, but the staff asked me to stop in the pit stop to then lecture me about ‘breaking suddenly and forcefully’. When I asked how do you go around the corners without slightly slowing down, I received no practical response, only that I was being an unpredictable driver. After consulting with the rest of the group, many had the same issue, being crashed into by these boys, them driving far too close, ruined experiences, and were shocked to find I was pulled over and lectured about my driving rather than finding the boys who were recklessly driving and well, giving two middle fingers. As a result I had only about 8 minutes of driving time, very frequent yellows and reds almost the entire time (these boys did not care for those either much), and money that was better spent on the first round of driving than the second.

A bit of advice to those two and anyone out there who doesn’t want to race for fun, but for speed and time, please just book your own session that isn’t with other people who want to enjoy this. Another occasion of a person doing an inappropriate movement with their hands (too harsh to explain), was made to my partner for whatever reason. The staff, completely aware of this happening, simply do not care enough to seek any of these people out, and even though they saw this take place (as did multiple drivers) they do not care enough to pull any people over who enforce rude gestures or language. Just be aware of that when you go, because some people take it far too seriously, and the staff will not warn of this nor sort this out as violating any certain conduct between drivers.

Not great at all

Very bad experience as one of the workers was very rude and had an angry tone every time he spoke. There were lots of complications in the second session and lots of red and yellow lights not allowing anyone to fully experience the track. Not very great 👎

YJJ named guy was very polite helped me with all the issues. We work in hospitality too And knows that it could be difficult to manage people but it doesnt mean you start ignoring people and carry an arrogant/ignorant vibe around... like u dont give a sh*t about your job.

We had a fantastic visit to TeamSport…

We had a fantastic visit to TeamSport Brent Cross with my 6-year-old daughter, and I wanted to recognise the amazing staff who made the day so special.
From the moment we arrived, everyone was welcoming, helpful and went out of their way to make sure my daughter had a wonderful experience.
A special thank you to Marcia, who helped with the go-karting and enthusiastically cheered the children on around the track. Her encouragement made my daughter feel confident and excited.
Latifah was also fantastic, helping us settle in and assisting with the bowling activities. She was patient, friendly and made us feel very welcome.
A huge thank you as well to Matt, who was incredibly kind and generous. He gave my daughter some complimentary items including a bag, cup and water bottle, which absolutely made her day.
My daughter left with a huge smile on her face and has been talking about her visit ever since. It is rare to find staff who genuinely care about creating a positive experience for children, and this team certainly did that.
Thank you to Marcia, Latifah and Matt for going above and beyond. You are a credit to TeamSport, and we will definitely be returning.

Far too many drivers/Red or Amber light for on most of the time

Far too many drivers! They had 15 Karts out on the track creating far to much congestion so you could never really open up the throttle. To add insult we had a group of about 8 lads who were driving recklessly and constantly crashing causing the red and amber lights to come on. It is no exaggeration that at least 75% of the 30 minutes either the red stop or amber drive slowly was on, then as soon as a green light would show you would get half a lap in then you would have to stop again. The same drivers who were continuously causing this weren't dealt with harshly enough at all. I paid just short of £100 and left feeling as though we had barely raced at all.

The experience is good but the scam on the "event insurance" is not! DO NOT GET THE INSURANCE, this is not usual event insurance where you get a refund which would be industry standard- paid £21 for event of 7 and one cancelled ahead of 48hrs, all you get is credit to another event or food...... for £21 cost - nuts. People get ill and large groups change all the time. Its clear in the small print - so take note.

Great customer service - highly recommend

Nicki was fantastic throughout the process of booking us in to purchasing our vouchers after we finished our race. She was friendly, welcoming, and very easy to talk to, which made everything feel simple and stress-free. The whole experience felt personal and professional, and she took the time to make sure everything was clear. I would be happy to recommend her and Teamsport Basildon.

Absolutely atrocious company

Absolutely atrocious company: think very carefully about booking with TeamSport as it feels like this business is being run by crooks!

After having a session at the Stoke depot, I received a parking ticket despite giving my vehicle details during booking in.

I called in straight away and spoke to Kerris who advised the ticket had been issued in error and that it would be cancelled off.

A month later I received another letter with a larger fine and again called it in to team sport, this time speaking to Leia. She advised that the last person who I spoke to had not cancelled the fine correctly and that she had spoken to her manager and that this was now done.

Today I received another letter from the bailiffs saying I owed £170 and that they would be coming round to collect. Obviously I was appalled by this letter and got straight back on the phone to Team Sport.

This time I spoke to Rodrigo who advised that again the fine wasn't cancelled off correctly and that the manager would fix it and call tonight to apologies.

I did not receive a call. I got an email from Brandon Jones saying that because there had been "lack of correspondence" the fine would still be payable, all be it at a reduced amount.

I strongly recommend you avoid Team sport LIKE THE PLAGUE unless you want to waist hours of your life dealing with illegitimate parking fines. I am aware of others who have been through the same ringer so this is not an isolated incident.
BE WARNED AND DON'T LET THEM GET AWAY WITH IT!!

Who issues a parking fine in a carpark without the ability to buy a ticket in the first place??

Staff are so inconsiderate!!!!!

Staff are so inconsiderate. We came here yesterday for my 13 year old step brothers birthday. He ended up sitting out the last round as 2 lads in carts with their own gear, who clearly knew the staff very well. We're allowed to bully and ram him off with no consequences. After my step brother sat the last round out they then went after my 14 year old step sister instead. Completely blatant out in the open the staff did nothing as they were friends...

I wont be coming here again this was a f*ckin joke. "1# carting in the uk" hardly..

The lads in their own kit were still racing on red. Ramming the kids. And overtaking and racing on yellow lights too.

So to the lads "Evan bullock" and "Brandon barker" you both are idiots.

I suggest to the management of this place you make your staff more considerate to kids. These racers in their own gear, whilst very fast. And probably we'll known shouldn't be allowed to get away with this and ruin my step brothers birthday.

Thanks for nothing guys. What a joke.
