Lack of maned tills

Visited the Caernarfon store 03/07/26, which I’ve used for many years. No maned till open at 7pm. Very poor customer service. Staff member standing just talking to each other, one even sitting on the window sill. Appalling service. Are customers who do a large weekly shop expected to check them out themselves. What about elderly customers? Staff member had closed her till and asked a supervisor to help, she just walked away. I agree that self service is fine when you have only a basket but when you have a large shop ( £160) it is not suitable.

Had a problem with a giftcard

Had a problem with a giftcard . Card was not activated at checkout and is useless . Manager of St Oswalds superstore Gloucester said there was nothing they could do and would not refund even though I had proof of purchase. Customer service counter staff rude and dismissive . They have just lost a whole family’s custom. Well done !
They are so big they just don’t care about their customers.

Total disgrace Tesco for the following…

Total disgrace Tesco for the following reasons

A, shortage of basic foods as of July 2026
Potatoes
Bread sticks
Onions

B, what is the point of having a online shop when you select items that are in stock only for you to state they are out of stock week before then back in stock then out of stock again.why have t you. A system of when a customer selects an item it's theres not the opposite by keep taking it out of stock, on a regular basis now I losing QTR of my shopping items because Tesco is not telling the truth to there customers that they have either a supplier issue or a food short fall, this is basic foods we are talking here.

Let's see what the news media thinks of this outrage.

Saudi Flag Not Included in Football Decorations.

Hi Tesco team,
I’ve been a loyal Tesco customer for over 3 years. Today I visited your branch (Store 5394) and saw many country flags on footballs for the tournament.
Unfortunately, there was no Saudi Arabian flag at all. I was really disappointed and surprised, especially as a regular Saudi shopper.
I’ve attached photos of the decorations and my receipt from today.
Branch: 5394
Date: 03/07/2026
I hope you can fix this issue as soon as possible.
Thank you,

I will never shop with Tesco again

I ordered a whoosh delivery yesterday and waited, then I received a message that the order was cancelled because we didn’t answer the door. I checked my Ring doorbell video history and nobody had been at our door. We have dogs and they always bark whenever someone is at the door, they never did. We were home and in the front room, with full view of the front gate. This is not the first time this has happened with Tesco. I will never order from Tesco again. They need to employ more intelligent drivers!

Customer service don't reply

What's the point of having a customer service address if they don't reply to customers?
I suppose it improves the stats if complaints get swept under the carpet.

Worst service ever…

Worst online shop experience and worst customer service. Ordered twice online only to have both my orders cancelled. Ordered again scheduled a time for delivery only to be notified the driver is late and will arrive after my scheduled delivery time. After an hour I logged in to track the order only to see the order was cancelled AGAIN without being notified. Disgusting service from Tesco. They should be better ashamed of themselves.

Don't use this format ever ever ever. There is no way of contacting market place who at the end of the day your contract is with. Just get blanked or re directed somewhere else. What a let down from Tesco.

Simply The Best

I have been using Tesco Pharmacy for quite some time now (Spring Hill Birmingham) They are always working hard to make sure that Myself and my family have our Prescriptions all sorted out nicely. If there is ever a problem with anything they go above and beyond to make sure all is sorted out. They are also there for any medical advice we may need too. So Thank You to the Pharmacy Team at Spring Hill.

Dreadful service

I have received dreadful service from Tesco online. I haven’t been entirely impressed by the groceries I have received.

For example, I ordered 3 carrots and each carrot was the size and thickness of my little finger. I did discuss this with the delivery driver and received a refund for 1 carrot. Which is all well and good, but then I have to go out to the nearest shop to get what I actually need.

More recently, I placed an order to arrive after I returned from a weekend away. When the order was delivered, there wasn’t any chilled or frozen goods. There had been no email notification that Tesco had had issues due to the heatwave.

I have repeatedly tried to place orders online, but the app said there was no available chilled or frozen products available until 30/06/26 - it even stated this on 01/07/26!!

On 02/07/26 I tried again and it app said no chilled or frozen goods available at present. I’ve had to go out twice to get my groceries.

Why would I order a delivery when I have to go out and get half the goods I require from another supermarket?!

I contacted the online support service. It has taken me from 08.28 to 14:16 to get a refund on my Delivery Saver Service. To say they are reluctant to help is a massive understatement.

Despite being out of pocket by having to go out and get groceries elsewhere, I’m still not getting a full refund, but I have been sent an utterly futile £7 off voucher for my next shop with Tesco - because I told them that I would never shop with them again.

It’s been a very expensive lesson to learn. Please don’t waste your time and money with this company like I did.

After ten years of having my clubcard… and critique

After ten years of having my clubcard on my car keys (same car) it was starting to look a little worn, I requested a new one from Tesco. They directly sent me, two for my car keys (that's two decades worth for me) and an updated very pretty Tesco ClubCard, I also received in the mail (not on my app) a five pound voucher which will be a great help for me today. I absolutely love using Tesco and I do prefer a lot of Tesco's own brands, the quality is good for the price and the packaging is something I'm very drawn to. A lot of times my trolley is filled with the same colour of items and it helps that I can tell from looking at things what is Tesco's own.

The only critique that I have, being a lifelong customer of around 15-20 years by now, around different stores depending on my location, is that while ten years ago I could fill a big trolley with enough food for me and my family for no more than £150. Whereas now I could easily fit £150 into one or occasionally two bags. I understand that the costs of living and inflation have played partly a role in this but I always thought that Tesco was a people first company, that those in need were able to shop there, and I just don't see that as clearly anymore. Clubcard used to be amazing for deals, now the clubcard helps you just not spend an extortionate amount on one meal.

I'll continue to use Tesco as it is a store I have always liked, but I do hope they see this review and take on board my critique, as it would be great to see them become a people first store again, and not so busy competing/ matching with other brands and stores. Tesco was a no brainer ten years ago but now it's pretty much a much of a muchness with the rest of the local stores out there. It's close to being on brand (on par) with M&S (which was considered a higher class and more of expensive store).

All in all I'll keep my five star rating because the points and vouchers they give out always seen to come at a good time they can be used. Also they often give you around a year to use them/accumulate them.

Delivered wrong item, no refund

I bought 12 Brita filters from an intermediary through Tesco Marketplace. Prompt delivery of a jug, a significantly lower-value item. Following the Marketplace guidelines, e-mails produced no response from the company. Escalating it to Tesco for refund, I was provided with very friendly customer support. However, 3 weeks later I'm left with an item of no use to me and no refund. I presume like me Tesco has been unable to get a response from the intermediary. Not sure how this company is allowed to trade and why a supposedly reputable retailer like Tesco uses this intermediary. The only action Tesco has successfully done on my behalf is remove the Clubcard points earned for this purchase, so Tesco despite friendly customer support, is complict in this deceit of the customer

Utterly dreadful customer service

Utterly dreadful customer service. Maybe don’t run a business staffed by teenagers who clearly don’t know or have any authority to resolve even the most minor issues. I have spent tens of thousands of pounds every year with Tesco but after this experience will use a different chain who aren’t completely useless.

Tesco woosh

Tesco woosh
After two hours they cancelled my order and refunded me 41p after spending £9.89 plus my vouchers I have earned. I now have to give a lot of effort and time trying to get my money back which due to principle I will do. Food is much more expensive than going for it as well

Absolute worst customer service on the…

Absolute worst customer service on the phone. They obviously don’t want to deal with or speak to customers based on their attitude. Not quite sure what’s happening. Tesco used to be a little bit respected. Awful, awful awful. I guess they no longer train their staff in customer service. They will never see me in any of their stores again that’s for sure.
