The worst company I have ever dealt with. I booked a 45-day stay in Zurich and paid CHF 10,000 (about USD 13,000) in advance.
On arrival, there was a large 5G antenna directly at the window of the main room, something that appears nowhere in the listing photos. Within ten minutes we had developed severe headaches, so we informed the company that we could not stay there and needed another apartment for health reasons. We never moved in and returned the keys.
We called their support line and they assured us that someone would call the next day, Wednesday, with a solution. Nobody ever called. For an entire week, while we paid for a hotel out of our own pocket, the only responses were emails from Support repeating that their sales team would call us as soon as possible. After one week we formally requested a full refund. Result: no refund, no call, no alternative apartment.
I even found the CEO's contact details and wrote to him directly. He never responded either. Meanwhile, the same apartment was relisted on their website as if nothing had happened.
I lost USD 13,000 and a week of my life being ignored. I am writing this review so that nobody else has to go through the same experience.
Avoid this company.
I’m really enjoying my stay at this apartment. It is exceptionally clean, modern, and very well equipped. Almost everything you could possibly need is available—even small details like cotton swabs in the bathroom, which I really appreciate.
The air conditioning works perfectly, the Wi-Fi is fast and reliable, and the large refrigerator is very convenient. The apartment is comfortable and thoughtfully prepared, making it easy to feel at home.
The only downside is the traffic noise. The bedrooms face a busy road, and cars can be heard very clearly, especially at night. The sound insulation could be improved, as it sometimes feels like the traffic is just outside the room, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep.
Other than that, everything has been excellent, and I’m very happy with my stay.

Blueground promised to pay my rent in writing but never did. Before leaving the Istanbul market, Blueground sent me an official email confirming that my April and May 2026 rental payments would be made on May 20 and June 20. They paid neither.
They currently owe me around USD 2500.
I have contacted both the Istanbul team and the global Blueground team several times. No payment, no explanation, and no response.
If you are a property owner considering working with Blueground, be aware that written payment commitments may not be honored, and you may be left chasing your own money without any response.
I would like to review my experience with Blueground’s operations in Dubai.
Unfortunately, the booking process is highly misleading. After completing the reservation, I was unexpectedly asked to pay a security deposit of AED 3,000. This requirement was not clearly disclosed at any point during the booking process, making the final cost significantly higher than anticipated.
In addition, the customer service experience was disappointing. Rather than trying to resolve the issue or offer a reasonable solution, the support team simply insisted that the deposit was mandatory. Had this information been clearly presented before booking, I would have been able to make an informed decision.
Still waiting for security deposit return. In breach of contract and giving me run around. They just lost a consistently paying customer!

I made the mistake of renting it in Mexico City. Horrible furnishings. I bought an expensive home cooler and left it there. The linen was Quality of what prisoners use. Horrible. Couch had stains not cleaned ever. I just left without arguing for a refund and checked into a hotel.
Easy to find, veeery kind and helpful staff, clean apartment.

Well maintained and affordable rates for a furnished apartment.

Beware - not as advertised. Rented a unit that looks perfectly good inside. The problem is outside. The building has not maintained itself and there is a homeless camp outside of the window, homeless in the entry way and getting inside the building, harassing renters. As a single female traveler - this is unacceptable. Blueground is completely ignoring my plea for help. All I want is to transfer to a safer building but they are not being responsive or helpful, leaving me in a completely unsafe environment.
We had a great stay in Blueground apartment in Seoul. The apartment was spotless, very modern, and exactly as expected. The customer service was excellent, with very prompt and helpful replies to all our questions. Since the apartment was vacant, they kindly allowed us to visit it before check-in, which we really appreciated. The check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. Overall, a wonderful experience, and we would happily use Blueground again.

My recent experience with Blueground Lisbon regarding the return of my security deposit has been deeply disappointing and shocking.
My lease ended at the end of May 2027, and according to the contract, my security deposit was supposed to be refunded within 30 days. By the end of June, I had still not received it. Throughout July, I repeatedly contacted Blueground seeking an explanation and resolution, but without success. Communication was slow, inconsistent, and lacked transparency. Despite numerous follow-ups and escalation requests, I received neither a satisfactory explanation nor even an apology. The latest response from Blueground states that they will provide another update by 10 August—not that the deposit will be refunded, but merely another update.
What makes this experience even more disappointing is how sharply it contrasts with Blueground’s own positioning as a premium global accommodation provider for expatriates and business professionals. I expected professionalism, accountability, and efficient customer service. Instead, my repeated interactions with different teams—including Customer Support, Finance, and the Commercial team—left me with the clear impression that resolving this issue was not a priority. Rather than taking ownership of the situation, explaining what had happened, apologizing for the delay, or committing to a refund timeline, the response was simply to postpone the matter again and again. Even after I repeatedly requested that the case be escalated to someone with decision-making authority, I still have not received a meaningful resolution.
From my research, this does not appear to be an isolated incident. I have found other complaints from both tenants and property owners in Portugal describing similar experiences with delayed security deposit refunds and unsatisfactory customer service. Prospective customers should take these reports into account when deciding whether to use Blueground’s services.

I had a great experience with Blueground. What impressed me the most was how easy and hassle-free the booking process was. I hope they continue to keep it this simple.

Blueground exited the Portuguese market and gave us essentially zero support with the transition. They claimed they would offer comparable relocation options, but what we actually received was a short list of apartments that were far more expensive, in poor locations, and nowhere near comparable to what we had. In practice, no real alternative was offered.
I was forced to renegotiate directly with the landlord from a terrible bargaining position, and ended up paying more than I did with Blueground.
It got worse after that. Blueground is now failing to honor its own contract. My lease clearly states the security deposit must be returned within 30 days of move out. That deadline came and went. Instead of paying, they have now asked for another month just to provide an "update," not even the actual refund.
So I am out of pocket on a deposit they are contractually obligated to return, with no firm date in sight and a company winding down its local operations. Draw your own conclusions about how likely I am to see that money.
Bottom line: not reliable, and they will not hesitate to leave you scrambling. If you rent with Blueground, understand the real risk. You could end up forced out of your home and out of your money. I would not recommend them to anyone.

As a repeat customer of Blueground (previously in London), I had a very disappointing experience with Blueground in Madrid.
Blueground terminated my tenancy before the agreed end of my contract as they decided to close their business here. Following the termination, they acknowledged that they owe me both my security deposit and a refund of prepaid rent.
My contract states that the security deposit should be returned within 30 days of vacating the property. That deadline has now passed, and despite multiple follow-ups, I have still not received either payment.
Instead, I received an email explaining that Blueground is "winding down operations in Spain" and therefore needs additional time before they can process refunds. While I understand businesses can face operational challenges, customers should not be financing those challenges by having their money withheld beyond the contractual deadline.
Before booking, I would strongly encourage prospective tenants to consider the potential risks if your tenancy ends or is terminated early. If you're required to pay a substantial security deposit or rent in advance, be aware that recovering those funds may not be straightforward.
I sincerely hope Blueground resolves this matter promptly, but until they honour their contractual obligations and return the money they acknowledge they owe, I cannot recommend them and will take further as necessary.

I am the owner of apartment number İST-1256. Two months' rent remains unpaid. You sold the furnishings to the current tenant; please deduct the security deposit and send the remaining 92,000 Turkish Liras.

If I could give zero stars, I would.
The apartment itself is not the reason for this review. The real problem begins after you move out, when Blueground is supposed to return your security deposit.
I checked out the apartment in Madrid (Reference MAD-3261) on May 31, 2026. The contract clearly states that the security deposit must be returned within 30 days. That deadline has come and gone, and I am still waiting for my money.
What is even more frustrating is the complete lack of customer support. I have sent multiple emails, contacted them repeatedly through the app, and patiently waited for updates. Instead of receiving a solution, I have been ignored or given vague responses that lead nowhere.
It is astonishing that a company capable of charging rent and collecting deposits so efficiently becomes virtually impossible to reach when it is time to return money that belongs to its customers.
This is not about a delay of a day or two. This is about a company failing to honor its own contract while keeping a customer’s funds without providing any clear explanation or resolution.
At this point, I have lost all confidence in Blueground. A company should be judged not by how it treats customers while collecting payments, but by how it behaves when it owes your money back.
Since my repeated attempts to resolve this matter directly have been ignored, I am now escalating the issue through the appropriate consumer protection authorities and will continue pursuing every available legal avenue until my deposit is returned.
If you are considering renting with Blueground, ask yourself one question: Are you comfortable trusting a company that may become unreachable when it’s time to return your money?

Thank you for your response.
However, I must respectfully disagree with your justification.
If Blueground was facing operational or financial difficulties in Madrid, the responsible approach would have been to proactively inform affected customers. Instead, there was complete silence. None of my emails have ever been answered. The only responses I have received were through the Blueground app and now on Trustpilot.
Your internal transition does not relieve Blueground of its contractual obligations. If I had lost my source of income during my tenancy and stopped paying rent, I highly doubt Blueground would have accepted that as a valid reason for breaching the contract. The same principle applies here.
I also continue to receive marketing emails promoting new properties, while many customers across different countries report experiencing the same issue regarding delayed deposit refunds. If Blueground is unable to fulfill its existing contractual obligations, it is difficult to understand why it continues to market and offer new rentals.
My security deposit should have been returned within the contractual timeframe, and it remains outstanding. I need these funds to secure my family’s next home, and this delay has caused unnecessary financial hardship.
I expect this matter to be resolved immediately and my deposit refunded without any further delay.
Should this matter remain unresolved, I will have no option but to continue pursuing all available legal and consumer protection channels until my contractual rights are respected.
