Cash less

Despite the food being nice, I will not be returning due to the place being cash less and only taking card there are plenty of places that welcome my real money so I'll support them instead

Visited The Cornish Bakery in Bideford…

Visited The Cornish Bakery in Bideford North Devon.
I find there prices a little high but they do take blue light card so I got 25% off. The staff were very polite, the area was clean and tables were being cleaned quickly and efficiently.

My usual cafe

My usual cafe, the Village, at Gretna, was packed. Found the cornish pasty shop, and saw lovely cheese scones. However, was told NO when asked for it to be warmed. No explanation, but I noticed there was no microwave. Had a pasty instead which had hard pastry. Will wait at the village in future.

Yuck!…

Visited their establishment yesterday in Stamford, pasty was slimey, brownies were greasy and practically uncooked and the coffee was burnt. Won’t be returning.

Fabulous place for a break from the shopping!!

What a clean, bright and buzzing place to stop for a break and watch the world pass by. The staff were very friendly and efficient and the food was a real treat. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will make this our regular stop off when shopping in Bury.

Visited the newly opened Bakewell shop

Visited the newly opened Bakewell shop. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. The pasty and Portuguese tart were delicious and the cappuccino was the best I’ve ever had. Only lost a star because customer had a dog in the cafe and that’s a problem for us re hygiene, allergies and dog phobias. I realise this won’t be a problem for some customers.

Do not Bother

Our family of 4 all had pasties. What a disappointment. So salty, hard pastry I guess they must have been sitting on the whatever you call the hot thing for too long. Overpriced and well just a rip off. Fair to say we will never ever visit again.

Twice this week

Twice this week, the 28th March Salisbury & then on the 39th down in Somerset at the Clarke Village. Both times the pasties were over cooked & very hard to bite, over cooked & really quiet browned off.As my husband is a Cornish man he was very disappointed. We always go to the one in Salisbury & have been going there since they opened & never before experienced pasties like that. But on the whole, friendly staff & clean.
