I wouldn’t even rate this a 1 star.
Peter is only out for his own financial gain. He will sell you a dream in the first instance, as soon as he has taken your money that is when it will all go wrong!
We have been messed around by him for over a year!
Numerous issues with tutors not being paid, leaving us without tutors. Not entering my son for all subjects he was promised in the beginning. We paid for subjects that he never even had tutors for.
Pater has promised us so many times he will make it right and refund us our money but never received a penny back from him! This has caused us so many problems and issues over the year. Peter will say he is sending money but nothing is ever sent he just continues to fob me off.
He tells lie after lie which you are taken in by
Please do not get tangled in this awful company as you will not get what you are promised it has been such a terrible experience for my son who was taken out of mainstream. We have been on a turbulent path with this company none of which I can say has been positive we were stuck as we had paid thousands

STAY AWAY. Peter does not pay his tutors, and he and his son Oliver 'act together' pretending to be good. Will lose your time and receive fake promises .pretending to pay you and a bunch of excuses..Unfortunately, I was warned but didn't listen due to believing peter's lies.... if you value your mental health please don't be fooled like I was by this SCAM company.

This company are rogues. they tell lie after lie. you will pay for lessons that won't be fulfilled and left feeling frustrated. not to mention being out of pocket due to the fees paid for the lessons. Avoid this company at all costs

What a terrible company!! This man is ripping people off daily!! He is a liar and a fraud!! He needs locking up. He ruins lives do not trust a word he says

I would recommend the home school academy my daughter didn't have a bad experience in school and I made the decision to take her out and do home schooling and since she started there learning her main 3 subjects she has come on so well she is due to sit her G.C.S.E.S next month and with all the hard work from the teachers and Peter my daughter has been given high grades and this is beause of the home school academy I just want to thank them for everything they have done to help my daughter to achieve what we all know she deserves and thanks to them she will be able to go on to her next chapter in her life to go to college and do what she really loves thank you all

I can not recommend The Home School Academy enough. Peter and his professional tutors operate to a high standard and are extremely flexible. They have been incredibly supportive to my son helping him flourish where traditional schooling didn't.

Wouldn't even rate this place a 1. Such a terrible experience as a tutor. Rude head of Academy (Bobby) and the owner (peter) likes to sweet talk but he will get nowhere with getting to the bottom of the issue. If there was the intention of not paying your tutors who make the business happen, then why start the business. Lack of communication between staff but they like to blame their tutors because of their own misunderstanding. So glad I left the place as soon as I did otherwise I would also be in the place of tutors who haven't been paid for their hardwork. I was awaiting my DBS repayment from Peter, but got to the point he started ignoring calls, messages, emails etc. I lost £65 for a DBS that I didn't get and wasn't processed in the first place but glad its not thousands like many others. Its a scam.

I was sold a dream and the dream became a nightmare as nothing that was promised became reality.
I was owed a £2000 refund and Peter has only given me £250 and a million excuses and lies since December.
Please, Peter Kellitt, stop giving me excuses and give me my refund.
I am a single mother and can only work part time because my daughter suffered such traumatic bullying at school and she now suffers with anxiety and depression.
So I had to get a loan to pay for this and I do not have much money at all and the home school has not provided the service that was promised or the refund that was promised. I have emailed, text and called countless times to ask for a refund with no success and the situation has caused us so much more stress that I am now unwell and cannot sleep at night. This is absolutely sickening that the lives of vulnerable children and their families are being preyed on and we are being scammed like this!

Avoid!!!! My son spent half a term at THSA after struggling at mainstream school. The first 3 weeks he really enjoyed. The teachers were great, he was engaged. Then the problems began. Tutors stopped turning up to teach because they hadn’t been paid. We had a period of days when there were no lessons at all. It seems that Peter’s business model is - doesn’t pay his tutors, so they eventually leave out of desperation. He then gets more tutors. I requested a refund as my son was not receiving the education I was paying for and was really stressed by the whole experience. No refund after 8 weeks of trying. He tells me that refunds are only issues on 28th of the month. He has not refunded me on 28th Dec or 28th January despite telling me he ‘authorised a refund’ it has not arrived. So much disruption for my son who has been really negatively affected by the whole experience. Ironic given that we joined THSA to get away from the stress of secondary school. Peter has created far more financial stress and anxiety than if I’d left my son in school. I can’t see a reason why anyone would use THSA - I’ve never heard so many different excuses come from the same person. Hoping to get my refund back via the court system now but just wanted to warn others of making the same mistake I did.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR TRUST PETER. I used this to try get tutoring for help before my university exams. Peter said he’d paired me with a tutor who could help and we set up the first session (with me paying upfront for 10 sessions). It then came to the day of said lesson and I’d had no information of how the session would work/ how I could contact the tutor, this happened 3 times with Peter making up excuses each time such as the tutor had bad wifi connection so couldn’t make it. Eventually I got the number of this tutor who told me he hadn’t had any information from Peter about these sessions and did not know they were happening, Peter had said I never messaged him to confirm the sessions (a full lie as I had messaged multiple times in a row for more information). I then asked Peter for a full refund and chose to go with a different tutor, it took over a month for him to pay this refund with him ignoring my calls during this time and when he did answer making up excuses that it was my bank details that were wrong and that he’d already sent it. Another lie.

I had been working as a remote tutor here. Peter, the owner kept not paying me. Even on the first month I had to follow after so many days. He keeps lieing for the payment delays. He’s good at communication and he can convince you things are real. But you only notice he’s doing a fraudulent business by making tutors to work here and never pay when he says different lies and he forgets the lies he said sometime back. Most of his excuses are changing. Once the tutors decides to take their feet off from this game, he recruits new tutors. Most of the tutors have a genuine intention of teaching kids their with best. I haven't received around £3100 of my earnings since last April 2022. I would like to gain attention of other tutors, parents and students to beware of this fraudulent business.

Unfortunately we cannot recommend this organisation. After paying for a block of lessons there was a total lack of clarity regarding the booking process. There wasn't infact a selection of tutors (as implied) and the lack of flexibility didn't really work for us. Before going any further we asked for a refund (via repeated SMS and email) we were completely ignored until we expressed our disappointment online.

The home school academy has helped to keep my get my grandson back on track with his learning. I would like to say a special thanks to Peter, Bobby & Sonia they have all been excellent. I can’t praise or thank you enough. I would recommend the home school academy to anyone looking for online education. Thank you 😊

Peter, the business owner is professional and efficient, yet friendly and approachable. He totally understood my requirement and arranged maths tutoring for my daughter almost immediately, she started it within a couple of days of my initial call with Peter.

The allocated tutor (Shaf) was quite informal with my daughter and this worked well for her. He used mixed approaches of allowing her to state topics she needed help with and he also selected topics having reviewed her completed mock GCSE paper.

If we had not been happy with the tutor, we could have tried others but that was not needed for us. We were happy with Shaf and the tutoring process.

Ideally, I would have liked to have seen more referencable maths content available on the portal but this wasn't our main focus, the lessons were and they were effective.

I heard back from the home school academy very quickly after my initial enquiry. I received a telephone call where I was guided into purchasing my first (beginners) guitar set, and was kindly given tutorial on how to set it up which was totally free of charge. Service is very friendly, I have had a few courtesy follow up calls to see how I'm getting on and the opportunity for any questions / raise issues which I appreciate. I'm Looking forward to more lessons & seeing how I progress 🙂

My daughter is actually engaged! the subjects and programs on offer are brilliant and everything is seamless, easy to use, lovely teachers and EXCELLENT customer services. My daughter learns the guitar with her teacher Oli. Since she started she has really enjoyed her lessons and always has new skills to show us. We are pleased with how well things are going with their classes.

My son Stanley needed help with some aspects of his A level Maths our tutor Daniyal was really very good he listened to Stanley’s requirements and areas weakness. Stanley really improved his maths skillsand Stanley was really pleased he had a tutor and gained a lot from it
