None of my water lilies have sprouted

None of my water lilies have sprouted

We're sorry to hear your Water Lilies have not sprouted yet.

Water Lilies are shipped as dormant rhizomes and can take time to establish, especially depending on water temperature, planting depth, sunlight, and growing conditions. It is not uncommon for dormant rhizomes to focus on root development before producing visible leaves.

We appreciate your patience and hope you'll see healthy growth as the plants become established.

Took a bit to receive my plant

Took a bit to receive my plant, which turned out to be bits of steams with roots. Planted them according to their directions, and 2 months later, still nothing. They said it would take a yr to root and grow. $40 something bucks, not sure if I’ll ever see anything.

We're sorry to hear you were disappointed.

Bare-root plants are intentionally shipped in their dormant state and often resemble small stems with healthy roots. This is normal and allows them to establish more successfully than actively growing plants.

Many bare-root perennial plants spend their first growing season developing strong root systems underground and often do not produce visible top growth until the following spring. While it may seem like nothing is happening, they are often becoming established below the soil.

We appreciate your patience and hope you'll be pleasantly surprised by new growth next spring.

It was late because of UPS

It was late because of UPS, no fault of TN. Otherwise the transaction went fine. They've been in the ground a month & a half, no leaves/sprouts yet.

HORRIBLE BUSINESS

I tried to cancel the order 2-3 times due to no activity for over 1 month. The only responses I received was when I was trying to cancel my order. They refused to cancel my order. Once it finally arrived about 6 weeks after I placed it, the plants were absolutely horrible. The water lilies had no roots whatsoever and the other plants were dried up twigs. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY

We're sorry you were dissatisfied with your experience.

During our busy spring season, processing times can occasionally be longer due to the high volume of orders. Once an order has been harvested, packed, and entered into the shipping process, we are unable to cancel it because it has already been prepared for shipment.

Water lilies are intentionally shipped as dormant rhizomes rather than actively growing potted plants, and many bare-root plants are shipped in a dormant state, which often resembles dry twigs. Depending on the variety, many spend their first growing season establishing strong root systems and may not produce visible top growth until the following spring.

We appreciate your feedback and thank you for giving our family-owned nursery the opportunity to serve you.

Caterpillar 🐛 Food

Well, it did take several weeks for my order to arrive, they were in touch with me the entire time, explaining to me why there was a time delay. I had ordered a two for one deal. When it arrived, they were four! One of them didn’t make it, but the rest are doing very well and thriving! I am keeping them inside of my lanai in Florida so that I may have clean milkweed to feed to my wee cats.

We're sorry to hear one of your Trumpet Vines didn't establish.

We're glad to hear that three of the four are growing well. Bare-root plants can establish at different rates, and occasional losses can occur despite proper planting and care.

Thank you for your feedback and for giving our family-owned nursery the opportunity to serve you.

While originally delayed at the USPS service center, TN Nursery was gracious enough to re-send my order of lilies of the valley and water lily roots. I won't probably know until next year how successful my plantings are, but I appreciate the professionalism I received in reply to my less-than-polite reaction to the original delay. 😀

Reply from Tnnursery

We're sorry to hear you felt your plants arrived dead.

Dormant bare-root plants can often appear lifeless when they arrive, but appearance alone does not determine whether a plant is alive. We recommend performing a scratch test, which is demonstrated in the planting instructions and videos included with every order.

If a plant truly arrives dead, we stand behind our 24-hour Live Arrival Guarantee and ask customers to report it within 24 hours of delivery with photos so we can review and resolve the issue.

Experience -Terrible!

Experience -Terrible!
Two paw paw trees arrived way late… dry root and went according to their instructions, never a bud. Actually these were dead on arrival but since I waited for more than 24 hours I do not have any recourse.
The best they would do is a whopping 10% discount.
Never again with TN Nursery.

We're sorry you were disappointed with your experience.

Our 24-hour Live Arrival Guarantee is clearly stated before purchase and exists so that any shipping-related issues can be documented while the plants are still in the condition in which they arrived. Once plants have been planted or held beyond that timeframe, it is no longer possible to determine whether any issues occurred during transit or after planting.

Pawpaw trees are also naturally slow to break dormancy and are often among the last trees to leaf out. Many spend considerable time establishing roots before showing visible top growth.

Although we were unable to honor a live-arrival claim outside of the guarantee period, we still extended a discount as a goodwill gesture. We're sorry we couldn't meet your expectations and appreciate your feedback.

We're sorry to hear you were disappointed with your order.

Many of our bare-root perennial plants spend their first growing season establishing strong root systems underground and may not produce visible top growth until the **following spring**. While it may appear that only one plant survived, it is common for perennial varieties to emerge at different times, with many not appearing until the next growing season.

We're sorry to hear you're concerned about your plants.

Many bare-root perennials spend their first growing season establishing strong root systems underground rather than producing visible top growth. It is completely normal for some perennial varieties to remain dormant above ground and not emerge until the following spring.

While it's encouraging that one plant has already begun growing, we hope you'll see additional plants emerge next season as they complete their natural establishment cycle.

Thank you for giving our family-owned nursery the opportunity to serve you.

the fuyu persimmons never grew, no leaves. Pawpaw is growing nicely. So only half my order seems to be alive. Shipping took forever also. I doubt I would place another order. The communication was fair to poor. and when I requested an update, it felt pretty condescending.

We're sorry your experience didn't meet your expectations.

During our busy spring season, processing times were longer than usual due to the high volume of orders, and we understand the delay was frustrating. Fuyu Persimmons are among the last fruit trees to break dormancy and leaf out, and it's not uncommon for them to emerge well after other plants. Your Pawpaw leafing out is encouraging, as different species naturally wake up at different times.

We're also sorry if our communication came across as anything less than helpful. That is never our intention, and we appreciate your honest feedback as it helps us improve.
