Attention to detail

Since arriving at my current property I have found the level of service and attention to detail provided by Town & City to be of high standard. Their approach to dealing with any issue I have raised has always been professional, which has resulted in timely resolutions. It makes a difference dealing with managing agents that care about their tenants.

If I could rate this company as Zero stars I would

Don’t go near any development managed by them - to say they are incompetent is an understatement! Like the two previous reviewers, we have encountered buck passing and blame between the head office and property management teams with neither team accepting responsibility or solving the situation in a timely manner. The CEO doesn’t even have the courtesy to respond to emails let alone address the feedback. As previous reviewer mentioned, we also had an electrical cupboard installed without any keys being issued to tenants. As a consequence my vulnerable tenant was left without electricity and neither team were willing to resolve the issue - just played the blame game. Complete absence of customer care. Avoid!

A living nightmare. We are permanently fending of new, unneccesary charges for unneeded services while a listed building is falling into disrepair. Windows rotting, roof rotting, etc.

Disappointingly their previous trustpilot entry has been deleted some time within the last year (I wish I would have taken a screenshot - only kept a link to it).

Very, very disappointing at best. I have been livingin a leasehold managed by Town & City for a number of years. It is below every expectation. T&C is consistently trying to charge us for unnecessary services, overcharge us for services they are supposed to deliver, and consistently not delivering on the services that we are already paying for (like building maintenance, garden in complete disrepair, just to mention a few).

The listed property has been so badly neglected that some of the windows are rotting, the wooden structure under the roof is rotting, the base of a historic roof-cupola is rotting away, water leaks are appearing in ceilings, through the fireplaces, end more.

For ex 1) T&C have installed a lock to the meter-room without giving keys to the leaseholders, so we are without access to the meter rooms. 2) For 2 years one flat has had water dripping in through the roof and T&C is refusing to engage with it in a practical, timely but also financially acceptable way. 3) Ca. 2 years ago or more leaseholders have installed a lock to the door that leads into the shared garden and not shared the key with the remaining leaseholders. For ca. 18 months the other leaseholders tried to track down a copy. T&C refused to take action, refused to engage, let alone get to the bottom of this. 4) T&C continuously threatens to remove and destroy private property. Small things like boxes, etc. Petty behaviour. 5) T&C has for years tried to legally pressure leaseholders into paying for the repair of their neglect, but for horrendously inflated amounts of money. Just to name a few.
