Sold Parts They Don’t Have - Misleading and Unresponsive

VIP Automotive Group / Trail Ready Parts sold me a part they did not even have in stock, and then proceeded to mislead me every step of the way.

After placing my order, I received vague emails saying the item was “moving through processing,” which clearly implies that the order is being prepared for shipment. Only after multiple attempts to contact them did I finally learn the truth: they don’t have the part at all, and the actual wait time is 4–6 weeks.

No one answers the phone at Trail Ready Parts. Voicemails go unanswered. After one brief reply to my webform inquiry, they completely stopped responding once I requested a cancellation.

I then tried calling the main VIP Automotive Group number. After multiple attempts, I finally reached someone who casually transferred me… straight to a voicemail box that was full and not accepting messages.

This entire experience feels deceptive at best and borderline scammy. Selling parts you don’t have, sending misleading status updates, and then becoming unreachable when a customer asks for a cancellation is completely unacceptable.

After exhausting every reasonable attempt to resolve this directly, I had no choice but to file a dispute for the charge.

Stay away from this business. Buy from legitimate companies that actually have inventory and stand behind their customer service.

Seems scammy to me but I could be wrong

I put in an order for a $350 part + 16 S&H.

I got an order confirmed e-mail but I never got a shipped e-mail. After 9 days of waiting I tried calling to no avail so put in a ticket on their website .

A half a day later they responded that that part is back ordered! Ok fine BUT YOU CHARGED MY CARD 9 DAYS AGO! Then you don't answer the phone. Scary!

A simple "your part is backordered" e-mail would have made them feel far more legit and hey, Amazon does not charge you until it SHIPS!

So never again for me but I gave them 2 stars for the painless refund after I *finally* got a hold of them!
