Absolutely horrible customer service. I would not recommend this company for any type of RC products. I had two very expensive Lipo batteries die out six months into use put them in the storage every... See more

Poor quality overpriced
We have 2 slash 4x4 ultimate be bought new for $1200 with batteries and chargers. What a waste if money. Upgraded from dome cheap Chinese haiboxing brand cars rhst where fun but we wanted something more robust. The traxxas cars had loose pinion gears and motor set screws that immediately stripped the gears. After sorting this out the differentials front and rear gave out.
Literally after 10 uses both cars requiring parts and repairs worth hours. Drive shafts bent too because of rear diff failure after 10 runs. Garbage. Worst money pit ever and frustration
Traxxas
Spent the money thinking the price of an American brand from Texas would be worth it. It broke under normal use every week. Got rid of it within the month. Ones from China last longer and have a better return policy. Even the engine quit under warranty. They would not help. Take it this is less than a month old. Never been abused. Never been in mud or water. Just poor quality.
Not worth the pennies.
I just bought a Rustler 4X4 VXL and stock speed on 2s is not very good considering this is for adults. The model is over 3 years old so why is it still high price to buy? Also parts are expensive which is wrong as upgrading will be expensive and not worth doing. Take a Haboa Hyper for example that can do 50mph stock speed and parts are close to half price over Traxxas. Considering selling this and maybe going for something else.
Awful quality & customer service
Terrible customer service xmaxx was $1k and I've already put over 1k in it fixing problems haven't had it a month, steering servo, arms, tires blow quickly, bearings fall out, gears shred cheap cheap made on my 3rd ESC Traxxas support offered a half cost replacement and that's it, they won't see that their electronics thermal shutdown does not work I've put 4 sets of batteries through it that's it something if not multiples have broke everytime! I do NOT jump or bash hard. They don't last at all the worst quality there is and the support is even worse! Arrma is the way to go I've owned some for MONTHS tons of batteries through them never broke a thing Traxxas would have to really step up their customer service for their over rated over priced terrible made vehicles for me to ever consider spending another dime. Horizon hobby is the new leader in RC and for GOOD REASON amazing service and free replacements on "faulty" products, at least their not just completely poorly designed.
Bought a $800 truck with a battery and…
Bought a $800 truck with a battery and charger battery went dead after 3 months and there where no help at all told me they sell me a battery at half the retail cost when lipo are suppose to have a year warranty. Last traxxass product I will be buying going to switch to a company with better coustomer service like axial never had a problem with them in warranty aspects. Thease cars cost an arm and a leg you'd think they would honor there warranty some what. Be on the lookout for a TXR6 flatbed for sale on eBay cheap I don't want to support this company anymore. Nothing wrong with truck but just fed up with how they treated the battery situation. 1/10 would recommend there products only gwt a 1 because there cool builds but horrible horrible coustomer services
What a disappointment 😤
Bought my first Traxxas it was the XMAXX a £1500 truck all in. I ran it for about 30 minutes on a hard surface and stripped all the gears as they are made out of cheap material, you can buy upgraded steel ones which should be fitted in my opinion out of the factory for the price you pay for the truck so I replace the gears and run it for a further 15 minutes and both front shocks are leaking oil. I spoke to customer service, they were so unprofessional, patronising and didn’t care for my issues, they just blamed me I’m quite aware of the upkeep of these RC cars as they are not toys I have had lots of nitro’s but this is just not acceptable and I definitely won’t be buying another it’s a shame really I expected better as this is supposed to be the ultimate RC car.
I bought a brand new XRT today and…
I bought a brand new XRT today and drove it for 10 min. I took it off a snow jump and it went 10 feet in the air. It broke the steering arm. Very unsatisfied.

All there 1/10 and below brake if you look at them. Arrma blows these FOOLS out of the water. Traxxass SUCKS.
I purchased my second traxxas recently
I purchased my second traxxas recently. I bought the jato 3.3 and paid extra for the 2 day shipping. I got the jato 5 days later. I took it out of the box and started the break in process. I made 2 passes and the brake disc either disintegrated or just flew off. I contacted them and said that it wasn't warrantied but they would send me a new one. I asked for a second one ($4) foe the inconvenience and they told me to go spit. Going to look for a different brand of rc cars.
$500 product dead out of box
$500 product dead out of box. It was very obvious that this was a returned and remanufactured Nitro Car that was sent out to reseller as new. When unboxing it was missing screws, wires were cut and visible dirt inside.
Retailer claims Traxxas won’t allow them to exchange. Traxxas will not exchange, only repair. So I spent $500 on a refurbished Nitro car that was sold as new, that I am forced to keep and have them repair. This is theft.
Horrible customer service, horrible business model.
Have a feeling this may end up as a lawsuit unfortunately.
Very rude and didn't listen
The 1st time I called Traxxas I had a very good customer service experience with Mike F. He listened to our issues and promptly sent an email for me to send the pictures.
4 days later I still didn't have a response so I called again. Chris was one of the worst customer service reps I have ever talked to in any company! He did not listen to the issues so I had to tell him 3x which part we currently needed fixed and how I was asked by our hobby shop to inform Traxxas of the servo issues we keep having. He was extremely rude.
I'm not a person to bring political issues in to the conversation but I personally don't think that he would have spoke this way if my husband would have called in (maybe im wrong).
I thank Mike F for his respectable customer service and I hope that Chris will be talked to about our terrible experience
Worst purchase and company ever
I purchased a the Bandit VXL with TSM - model number 24076-74 which was defective out of the box. Without driving the product, it was vibrating enormously while just holding it in hand. I then called Traxxas and asked about this problem and they did some trouble shooting to no avail. They then suggested that it might be a problem with the wheel so they sent us two new rear wheels. After testing them out, there was virtually no change and the vibration was as bad as before. I then called them back for a second time and asked what I should do and they then proceeded to tell me that I need to open up the vehicle and disassemble certain components to try to fix it. I was unable to do this and refused since I had not been able to use the product for 2 weeks since receiving it as a Christmas present. I than called them again for a third time in which I discussed return and replacement options with an extremely rude and ignorant representative who informed me that Traxxas doesn’t take back opened products no matter if they are in perfect unused condition or completely destroyed by shipping upon delivery. I asked if I could take a video and send it to them to better illustrate the problem I was having. Instead of accepting the customers effort to work with the company who was at fault, they proceeded to inform me that if I took a video and sent it to them, they would consider the vehicle driven and would only accept a return with a 50% re-stocking fee. The only other option was to return it in its current (brand new but defective) condition for an unacceptable 15% re-stocking fee for a product that was defective. After weighing my options, I called Traxxas back for a fourth time and I was initially greeted by another rude representative who tried to tell me that I should try to take apart my vehicle and troubleshoot with different parts and gears etc. After requesting to speak with a supervisor, this supervisor told me that the company actually doesn’t accept any returns of an opened product no matter the condition. I guess Traxxas expects its customers to have x-ray vision to find out if their purchase is defective without even opening the box or simply testing it. The issue has only been somewhat resolved with Traxxas sending me a label to send my vehicle to their repair center to be repaired. The bottom line is don’t buy anything from Traxxas as they are an incompetent, unreasonable and untrustworthy company who will ultimately get you stuck with a very expensive and non working product with any purchase.
Hello thi is my second and last Traxxas…
Hello thi is my second and last Traxxas model. I buy for my sun an dessert racer after 2 month lights no working and no starring no working. After service now the remote not working. Very expensive not a good description less electronic quality about failure detection not professional. Sorry not acceptable for this price range
Poorly designed batteries. Not compatible with the rest of the RC world
Bought myself a traxxas Xmaxx for Xmas and was treated to their batteries too! Went to charge it today for a rip on Xmas eve and guess what? You cannot charge the battery without a special plug or their own charger (no balance lead for normal balance chargers) so basically I have an oversized paperweight sitting in my house that I cannot use. Well done traxxas for probably the most rediculous design I have probably ever seen. Needless to say I will be sending all of this s hit back to you and you can stick it where the sun doesn't shine 👏
One very angry customer!
“zero” rating revised to three
Note: the following was my reaction after initial discussions with Traxxas. However, Logan called me back and decided to evaluate as a warranty claim. Appreciate the change of determination and I encourage Traxxas to consider this a model example of customer-centered service. Because it was not quick and easy I'll maintain a 3-star rating instead of 5. "Wish there was a “zero” option. Parts broke on the car within 2 weeks and retailer says ‘they’re designed to break so kids can learn to fix them’ - at a significant parts cost of course. Charger ($60+) quit working after a month and ‘sorry you’re just out of warranty but you can get a replacement for half price.’ Can’t recall the last time a company sold me a defective product and wouldn’t replace it at no charge. Guess the 30-day warranty should have been a warning to me that after a month things are likely to quit working."
We had 5 Traxxas cars and 1 out of…
We had 5 Traxxas cars and 1 out of every 3 runs we where always replacing something.. Traxxas about broke me. I threw all my Traxxas stuff in the trash. I was literally going broke with Traxxas. Now I found ARRMA 20 runs not 1 issue.
Arcking batterys
The ESC Could be turned on and off by the push of the button. Now I guess the only way you could shut the RC vehicle off is by unplugging the batteries well the connectors are in there so tight I'm having to grab the wires to pull them apart but instead of that I'm pulling the lead out of the connectors which are making athe battery's arc. Call traxxas did not help with no solutions. Basically, they said that's the way it is had no concern about the batteries arcing. And says is there anything else I can help you with.. They went from what was safe by shutting it off by the button to have the battery's arc which could potentially make them explode.
I have been a hobbyists from way back…
I have been a hobbyists from way back when. My first rc car was a Tamiya Hotshot and it went on from there. I started with traxxas back in 2000. The T-maxx and it was not my first nitro truck I owned. You have to follow the instructions. This skill level should not be your first one. A nitro rc truck has a skill level of 3 to 5. Start off simpler with a skill level 1 and work your way up. Don't blame traxxas for a failed part or parts. Things can break in a box when shipped. Yes, there are some new things that are faulty. They do stand behind all of their products 100%. If it's their fault they will fix it. If it is your's, admit it. I'm not perfect. Things happen. Traxxas to me by far is a great company and they sell good products. I do bash hard. Things break. My fault. There. I admit it. Easy.
Absolutely appalling customer support…
Absolutely appalling customer support if you can even call it that.
I have been a long-time Traxxas user with multiple trucks & accessories etc, so was very disappointed with the lack of care from customer support to the point that I will no longer buy Traxxas.
The Traxxas telemetry is the most…
The Traxxas telemetry is the most confusing thing to order and impliment. The website doesn't have the correct parts list and customer support is not fully educated on it either
