Booked hotel through Trivago. Screenshotted the correct booking confirmation BUT then emails came through from Algotels for a hotel more than 30 miles away. Have been back and forth with Algotels who... See more

Still the worst website ever
They show prices thst are completely wrong on their site as by the time they forward you to the actual provider it is either higher or lower than what Trivago says
So many bad reviews that they never reply to but they do the good reviews, how arrogant is that!!
Booked a hotel in Dubai for my wife and…
Booked a hotel in Dubai for my wife and daughter looked at the hotel online only to find it was permanently closed and their website was down contacted trivago to ask for a refund and had to fight tooth and nail to get a refund told them all they had to do was Google this hotel to find out it was permanently closed but that was too difficult, use booking.com far more reliable.
Rubbish
Rubbish. It gave me a rate for a hotel of £43. I checked myself and got it for £30. Really? Is this site actually any use at all. Please don't bother.
There is no map option visible in Mobile site
There is no map option visible in the mobile website making the search tool.. pretty much useless unless you want to be in one of the “city centres” which is the only option.. come on Trivago if you are not going to add a map at the very least allow searches based on railway stations!
Waste of time
misleading didn’t give the cheapest price. Absolute rubbish. Don’t waste your time.
Castle Howard Santa Visit
Visited this venue with our grandaughter on Sunday.
This was a cold and blustery day, we were directed to wait for access with several other sets of parents with small children in a cold and gloomy courtyard without one Christmas decoration! Given the price of the tickets I think was disgraceful. There was no shelter from the elements, could someone explain why given the size of the house? When we finally got to see Santa it was in a shabby room something like a village hall. The show seemed hastily put together and was very poor. The gift was not even wrapped. VERY SHABBY experience, will not visit again!
Wainrights beer was spot on
Wainrights beer was spot on. Superb real ale. They know how to look after real ale.
Filters are useless
Filters are useless
Thought we were booking hotel in Plymouth with breakfast included and hotel parking. Filters added and adverts included breakfast and parking but on contacting hotel a few days before arrival established no breakfast included and car park is not on site.
Not the hotels fault but feel duped by Trivago. Back to Booking.com
Unreliable partner websites
Attempted to book various hotels, but the partner websites they link out to are bait-and-switch sites. The advertised cheap prices don't actually exist.
A deteriorating service
I used to like Trivago, but I will be very wary next time I need to book a hotel. They seem to use booking.com an awful lot. Do they have shares in this awful company? I have had bad experiences with bc but as it was on Trivago I thought it may have improved I was very wrong!
In future I will certainly be very wary about using Trivago
Used damaged items disgraceful…
Studio catalogue r disgraceful sending items that r second smell been worn and the wrapping torn no tag. Calender was folded up an torn .the men's set was open torn an all the stuff out the box . How dare they charge me for items that can't be used now due to damage. Beware of dodgy used items from studio an damage items . Don't waste your time and money with studio.
We were going away 5sept for 5 days
We were going away 5sept for 5 days, my husband had bad fall on 27th August rushed to hospital head trauma he is now on end of life package, not able move do anything for himself. Trauma has caused ruptured blood vessel to cancer on brain. This was all mentioned to trivago but still wont give refund to us. All because we never payed cancellation fee, we are on limited means, our train booking had terms and conditions but refund granted 3 days after I went to station. What is wrong with trivargo very disappointed with them.
Absolutely useless, showing hotels in a different city
Thought i'd try to find a hotel in Rome in October. Spotted a few hotels in the centre, in the part of the city we want to be in using the handy mapping, but once I click on the hotels, they are always either in a different city or part of Italy, possibly 100's km away, or in a different part of the city to the place it shows the hotels in on the map. How it manages to be so inaccurate is a complete mystery, but as it is so poor and could lead to bookings in the wrong part of the country, it deserves to be reported to trading standards. Avoid.
Overcharged Due To A Tour
Not found a problem in the past, disgusts me that all hotels are charging a fortune for a Sunday night, which they don’t usually do, because Oasis are on tour next year. I saw Liam Gallagher in June 2024, staying in Manchester overnight cost me £55. Next year I am being charged £245. Could have got slightly cheaper but wouldn’t be refunded if I needed to cancel. Also I paid the hotel directly this year when I arrived, but booking for next year I have needed to pay when booking online.
I Booked a hotel in Puerto pollensa 2…
I Booked a hotel in Puerto pollensa 2 days ago. Filled in the form for credit card details to confirm the booking. Following on from this i've received no online confirmation, either via email or on Trivago. I've now resorted to e mailing the hotel to see if they have a recording of any booking under my name. The booking was free initially but only until the end of September. How can I cancel a booking when there's no record of any booking?
Never again will i use Trivago.
TV advert: contradiction in terms
The new ad mention “ sometimes hotels panic you to book their last room” and goes on to say “ but their don’t have the availability “ ??? What does this mean??? IF they don’t have availability then they won’t book any rooms! As a Hotel Duty Manager I find this advert compelling ridiculous as it makes no sense but also offensive to the Hotel business which Trivago depends upon.
