Good experience with payment procedure and delivary.

I had a very positive experience with Troostwijk Auctions. The platform is easy to use, transparent and reliable. The bidding process was smooth, and I always felt well informed thanks to the clear descriptions and photos. Customer service was responsive and helpful, which made the whole process stress-free. I would definitely recommend Troostwijk Auctions to anyone looking for a professional and trustworthy auction service.

First auction ... I was not belive that is so easy and safe +++

I recently purchased two vehicles from Troostwijk Auctions and was shocked at how misleading the listings were.

Ford Focus 2007: The listing originally stated the car could “Start and Drive.” After I placed my bid and won, that information was removed. The car arrived in no condition to drive. This is not just a defect issue – it’s information deliberately deleted from the page after sale.

Volvo V60: The auction listed it as a 2012 model, but the official car documents clearly show it is a 2011. This makes a big difference in value, yet the auction description was inaccurate. If I new that car is 2011. I would not post such a high bidding offer. It seems that you can sell imaginary stuff here or lie on your ads as much as you like.

When I raised my complaint, I was told buyers “have a duty to investigate.” I understand buying at auction carries risks, but altering or misstating essential details is not acceptable.

Troostwijk positions itself as a professional auction platform, but my experience shows otherwise. Transparency and honesty are fundamental in auctions — and here they were lacking. I would strongly caution anyone considering buying from them to double-check everything and be aware that descriptions may not be reliable.

I just wanted to reply to the reply I got from website owners. You allowed someone to write that car is 2012 instead of 2011. For example someone could posted some false information and hide them until payment is done. This is not about car being able to run or not the description was crucial to making offer! I contacted the seller and he told me - OK. So in short - I can go *uck myself.

I did check the description. It was misleading and wrong. I don’t know if you know difference when it says 2012 in description but when you import the car and do all inspection it says 2011. Hopefully you’ll be held responsible for that.

The good part is the transparency.
You should improve on the seller's terms; their confirmation of accepting an offer should be faster.

I already bought many items from Troostwijk and what I really appreciate is the items quality. The goods are what we see in the pictures and there is no manipulation which gives us confidance to buy even not seeing the goods in real. The service is also excellent, so congrats for your prfessionalism and service.

I like the variety of goods and auctions. The rules are clean and clear. Mistakes happen, for example, in my case, I paid for the goods and incurred the costs of the trip to pick them up, but it turned out that the goods were not available and the situation has not been clarified to this day. Besides, you can consider reducing the commission, e.g. to 15%; in my opinion, the current one is too high. I have no other bad experiences.

I have six purchases. There is adrenaline! The platform is well organized, it works properly!

We purchased forklift A1-35553-6 through your auction platform. Upon delivery, it turned out that the equipment is in completely unserviceable condition:

The forklift does not move properly in a straight line and only operates in reverse, indicating a serious transmission failure.

The engine produces heavy smoke, which clearly points to severe engine problems.

These defects made the machine unusable from the very moment of receipt.

We fully understand that this is second-hand equipment. However, the listing did not disclose any of these critical defects and instead presented only attractive photographs, creating a misleading impression.

Most shockingly, in later written correspondence, the seller admitted in writing that he deliberately concealed these defects in order to sell the machine through your auction, claiming he had himself been deceived when acquiring this equipment. This is a direct acknowledgment of intentional fraud. It means that your auction house, Troostwijk, is being used as a platform to sell defective machinery that cannot otherwise be sold on the market.

Such actions amount to deliberate misrepresentation and can only be described as fraudulent and unethical.

What makes this situation even more outrageous is that the equipment was purchased for charitable purposes, to be sent as humanitarian aid on a non-commercial and non-profit basis. Instead of supporting a good cause, we are now facing losses, additional expenses, and a highly negative experience.

Even worse, your auction has not replied to our emails and continues to ignore our claim entirely. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and utterly disgraceful. It leaves the impression that your organization knowingly enables fraudulent practices, which is especially appalling in a case where the goods were purchased for humanitarian purposes.

Over the years, we have repeatedly purchased equipment through your auctions under different company names, and this is the first time we have encountered such a situation. We formally demand your official comments and explanations. If necessary, we are prepared to provide a notarized letter from the humanitarian mission confirming the charitable, non-profit nature of this project.

Wir haben über Ihre Auktionsplattform den Gabelstapler A1-35553-6 erworben. Bei der Lieferung stellte sich heraus, dass das Gerät sich in einem völlig unbrauchbaren Zustand befindet:

Der Gabelstapler fährt nicht geradeaus und funktioniert nur im Rückwärtsgang, was auf einen schweren Getriebeschaden hinweist.

Der Motor stößt starken Rauch aus, was auf gravierende Motorschäden schließen lässt.

Diese Mängel machten das Gerät von Anfang an nicht einsatzfähig.

Uns ist bewusst, dass es sich um gebrauchte Maschinen handelt. Allerdings wurden in der Artikelbeschreibung keinerlei Hinweise auf solche gravierenden Defekte gegeben. Stattdessen wurden nur ansprechende Fotos gezeigt, die einen völlig falschen Eindruck vermittelten.

Besonders schockierend ist, dass der Verkäufer in späterer schriftlicher Korrespondenz selbst eingeräumt hat, die Mängel absichtlich verschwiegen zu haben, um die Maschine über Ihre Auktion zu verkaufen – mit der Begründung, dass er selbst beim Erwerb dieses Gerätes betrogen wurde. Dies ist ein eindeutiges Eingeständnis von vorsätzlichem Betrug. Damit wird deutlich, dass Ihr Auktionshaus Troostwijk gezielt als Plattform genutzt wird, um defekte Waren abzustoßen, die anderweitig nicht verkäuflich wären.

Ein solches Vorgehen stellt eine vorsätzliche Täuschung dar und ist eindeutig betrügerisch sowie unethisch.

Besonders empörend ist, dass das Gerät für wohltätige Zwecke gekauft wurde – als humanitäre Hilfe auf nicht-kommerzieller und gemeinnütziger Basis. Anstatt den guten Zweck zu unterstützen, sind wir nun mit Verlusten, zusätzlichen Kosten und einer äußerst negativen Erfahrung konfrontiert.

Noch schlimmer ist, dass Ihr Auktionshaus auf unsere E-Mails nicht reagiert und unsere Reklamation komplett ignoriert. Dieses Verhalten ist absolut inakzeptabel und schlichtweg skandalös. Es entsteht der Eindruck, dass Ihr Unternehmen wissentlich betrügerische Praktiken unterstützt – besonders verwerflich, wenn es sich um Waren handelt, die für wohltätige Zwecke bestimmt waren.

Seit vielen Jahren haben wir über Ihre Auktionen immer wieder Geräte erworben, jedoch ist dies das erste Mal, dass wir einen solchen Fall erleben. Wir fordern hiermit offiziell Ihre Stellungnahme und Erklärung. Falls erforderlich, sind wir bereit, ein notariell beglaubigtes Schreiben der Hilfsorganisation vorzulegen, das den gemeinnützigen und nicht-kommerziellen Charakter dieses Projektes bestätigt.

I had a problem where there was a discrepancy between the title of the auction and specifications with regards to quantity of the item. I called Troostwijk Auctions and talked to Chris on the phone. My Dutch isn't very fluent yet, so he spoke in English to me and resolved the problem and ensured I wouldn't be caught off guard in that way. I am a repeat customer and happy to work with them.
