I have used Tryg for over 8 years for house insurance, without making a single claim. 2 years ago I purchased an expensive e-bike and called them to ask which plan I should add to ensure I am covered and have complete peace of mind. They told me which plan I needed and I have been paying ever since.
Now that my bike was stolen and I made my first ever claim, they have found loopholes to get out of paying anything, even though they specifically told me which plan to cover my bike.
How is this any different to a scam?
Why tell me what to pay and then say it isn't covered?
How can they get away with this?
Make sure you have receipts in terms of what you have agreed if you speak via the phone. They conveniently don't record calls or log any details about what you discussed. They just say the person I spoke with no longer works here so we have to reject your claim.

I am very disappointed of tryk insurance customer services. they are completely unprofessional they broke the agreement what they promised me on the phone they didn't made the insurance and even didn't informed me what they didn't do that .... all the story begins like
i bought a company car and i was looking for the company car insurance. i called to tryk insurance and they told me they can make me insurance but it will be expensive i agreed with them and i told what if they make insurance for the company car when i can move all my private insurances . so after couple of days i called to tryk and they told me what everything is ok everything is done they even told me the price for company car and the price was good i was happy but in the weekend i decided to check if i have insurances in their web site because i got automatic bill notification for my private insurances but i didn't get any insurance for my company car witch was the most important thing and this is way i chose tryk insurance. so Monday i started calling them and they just started connecting me from one person to another until one guy said what the person who i was talking with is sick today i think his name was nicolai but i made agreement with tryk insurance not with him he is your employ and everyone don't care like that's not my problem ...... when i asked why they didn't make insurance they said what later they decided not to make it because the car will be used for doing deliveries and its high risk for them but in the beginning there was no problem only mentioned high price . when i asked when why they dint tell my why they didn't call me and said what they don't want make insurance they just didn't had a word what to say. so very clever move the private insurances and promise company insurance keep the private insurances and cancel the company insurance. you cant trust them. it was very important to get insurance as fast as posible becouse the car was just bought and i had 2 weeks to find it they wasted my precious time. and when i found another insurance company who made me the company insurance and i moved all my private insurances there . and today i just6 get a call from tryk insurance they were asking me why i am moved to another company ...... and tried to offer the discount ...... no customer service responsibility at all .... and if you have insurance there dont forget to check if its still valid because if they cancel it they will not inform you about that ....

Worst Company I have ever seen in my life. We waited for their response almost 1 month. We waited 10 mins in call line and they didnt even answer After 1 month of waiting they put 3551 Kr “selvrisiko” for my “skade”

Had the worst experience. Their customer service person forgot to change my payment details. I called him and he said he’ll look out the case but 3 weeks passed by without any update or information. Poor customer service.

I have had Tryg as my insurance company for almost years. It had been quite ok service. A recent experience on a car insurance was really unpleasant. I have contacted Tryg by mails or phone 5 times due to that the new insurance has not been made as it was agreed, and my request was simply just ignored. Not the worst, I was contacted by Tryg for some questions on this car insurance, and I just asked about my request, and he just told me that he could not help me with it. Pathetic service. It seems that it is about time to say goodbye to Tryg.

Can't contact them when you need them, and when you do manage to contact them, go through all the menus and not get hung up on, you have the pleasure of talking to people that either fail to understand what you are asking, and some might just be rude and interrupt you.
On top of that, they take at least a month to respond to emails, and when they do, it is very half@ssed.
And not to say anything about their aggressive sales tactics and them constantly calling you to upgrade or buy new products.
God forbid you are somewhere stranded on your holiday outside office hours, desperate for any information or advice, because you can't reach anyone. Unless you are at the hospital, injured etc, being stranded on the road in the middle of nowhere is not an emergency and definitely not their problem.

The employees in Tryg customer services speaks well in English and they have very good knowledges over the car-insurance and related. Recommended by my workmates I also believe Tryg as the largest insurance company in Denmark. So even I haven't yet encounter the accidents big or small, I believe that was a good choice I have made. : )

Disappointed by the service overall
Good points:
- agents are friendly
- agents can speak English
- a client portal
Things that need improving or don't work
- systems are not reliable and old fashioned
- cannot chat with agents via chat online
- signature of documents is very old fashioned where you have to print a document, sign it then scan it if you don't have the right It equipment at home
- when a 'webform' is sent online, it does not work and when you contact Tryg about it you get no response.
- response time is 14 days, which I find is far too long
- it feels like you have to beg to get any claim taken into account and reimbursed
- the 'minside' does not work properly when I want to click on documents from my inbox, it gives an error message.

Had bad experience as non-danish resident by taking tryg insurance policies as they sold very basic insurance policies without covering existing policy coverages.

Fraud. My contract was changed without my permission. It became double the price. Now they refuse to provide me a refund. For more than a week they ignore my emails and don't answer my calls. Every time I book a call they promise to look into the case and nothing happens. First time I contacted them about the issue was 20 days ago.
Update.
Money returned. Took me 5 hours of my lifetime though. Lesse you are a shmuck.
