Save yourself the hassle

I have a set of TUFF wheels and I have problems with them all the time. I got stranded with these wheels in remote places so often by now that I would not buy them again nor recommend them. The first issue was a broken spoke nipple right after I bought them. But the biggest weakness is the hub. I have by now had 4 hub replacements and spent >€400 in wheel rebuilds. Still, I don't have a working wheelset.

When discussing my latest hub issue with TUFF they wrote:

"we changed a new hub factory to fix the old issues. the issues are the material quality of the ratchet and axle accuracy problem."

and

"about the hub issues, now we fixed the problems. Promise you no issues within 3years. we need to send you a completed new hub that can solve all problems."

Unfortunately, the new hub did not solve all problems. 134 km later I was yet again stranded in the countryside with the same hub issue. And obviously they know about the isse and still sell them.

So far, I have not had one single season, where I could ride the wheels without a problem. As it takes TUFF very long to reply (sometimes several months to have an issue resolved), you basically need a second wheelset if you don't want to lose the entire riding season.

My latest attempts to contact TUFF were all ignored. All in all it is a frustrating experience.

Liars!

The customer service is totally rubbish.
Liars!
They provided me with a fake tracking number and lots of lies, and this is going on for weeks.
They promised that I could have my wheels on time for my holidays, but everyday they come up with new excuses and fake Tracking numbers.
And now they stopped replying to me at all!
It was a waste of money.
